Exactly, the first thing you need to do to learn and be familiar with the language is to speak, doesn't matter if it is gramatically wrong at first because that is what it's supposed to be, just use the new words you learn often, and listen and learn how the native speakers speak. Eventually, you'll notice that conversations are getting easier but technically that's not the case, it's JUST YOU GETTING BETTER. 😊

Filipino is easy to pronounce. It is syllabic. We only have 5 vowel sounds. And those are paired to consonants. When there are 2 vowels together, the first vowel is paired to the consonant following it and the 2nd vowel is pronounced by itself. Except for prefix "mag- or nag-" the vowel is not attached to "g". Nag-aaral (nag- a-a-ral) = meaning learning Mag-aaral (mag-a-a-ral) going to learn ... or another word for "student". The first pairing I mentioned is the basics of pronunciation. At least that was how I was taught as a child. Good luck!

Also, the placement of stress in the syllables is very important and can only be learned when you communicate directly or listening (in the case of NAG-AARAL, the stress is on nag-aAral) coz we have a lot of terms that are HETERONYMS. Example: baBA (down) and BAba (chin).
