      Thanks buddy! Appreciate you taking the time to comment. I like it too. Hopefully I will be able to do some vids that are not about conditions soon. The timing between weather, work, life etc has kept me from filming a ton on the hill so far. 👊

    The mid mountain is in rough shape especially at any bottleneck areas. So much traffic, so little snow. They better be blowing everything below 1600 meters, if the temperature & humidity cooperate this week. I lucked out last Friday with the fresh snow in the alpine after the closure. Classic pow panic on 7th.

    was up yesturday (sunday 4th), loved the alpine and skiing off piste but on way back to chair it gets really hardpacked. Emerald chair, again nice at the top then its super hardpack with some rocks. Had a good day but downloaded in the gondala for the first time. Next weekend hopefully is better!

      Staying high is the way to go at the moment. That’s awesome you had some great snow. It’s amazing how quick it changes at certain elevations. Hopefully a little more snow coming this week. Thanks for the comment 🤙

      Hey Ryan, I really do like the angle and it is soooo easy and convenient. Easy to put in and out, get different angles if you need etc. I have only tried it with the Max Lens Mod because I wanted the biggest field of view possible to see the board etc. It works great so far and I'll be doing a video on it soon. One thing I have noticed with the "snorkel" style vs the thinner one is you can sound like Darth Vader breathing hard if you get working in the powder or anything. Lol

    Oh man.. that's kind of hard to watch from what I remember of my years there.... back east in Northern Ontario my hill is crunchy also and... it rained last night? We usually are in our -25 and lower temps this time of year?

    • @RidingThruLife
      @RidingThruLife  5 месяцев назад

      Ya, the lower is very bare. We have had years like it in the past, and I have not checked stats, but it seems to happen more frequently now. I think I read we are almost 50% lower snowpack than normal this year. Some places are getting pounded and some are struggling. At least the mountain is high and the top is still great. Thanks for the comment.

      @bradleyrounds9148 Danny Downer? Lol, thats awesome. Sounds like something my Grandpa would say. My name's Todd, so maybe Todd Too Negative? 🤣I guess you missed me saying "the top is really good" and flashing graphics saying the "top is amazing" and "so the conditions are good just the lower 1/4 got smashed, just stay up high, you will find the goods, it is not all doom and gloom" and at the end, "so even if there was an Atmospheric River the conditions are not all that bad up top, I hear all the local Northshore mountains are closed but it is not so bad here, we are good to go" Maybe you had the sound off for all that negativity? You also must have skipped my response to the comment you are commenting on that says "Alpine is still amazing though" Thanks for the comment, I am glad you are having great days on the hill.

    What are the good top areas for intermediate- advanced?

    • @RidingThruLife
      @RidingThruLife  5 месяцев назад +1

      Hey, between the 2 mountains there are quite a few Upper zones. I'll stick with non-pow recommendations as they are all good in pow. There are all sorts of options and variations with terrain etc with these but it will get you in the zone. On Blackcomb, 7th for sun, views and scenic groomers, backside of 7th for steeper terrain. Glacier and Crystal chairs for terrain/groomers. On Whistler, Peak and Harmony for sun and terrain. Symphony for sun, groomers and backcountry access. You should find something you like in those zones from mellow to gnarly depending on what you are looking for. Hope that helps, thanks for the question

    Better to Obviously Date your video ski-day. The boys were in Harm Horseshoes Friday Feb. 2nd = Knee Deep until the top of Boomer Bowl; then thin and frozen. Saturday Feb. 3rd was clear, sunny and cold with another 5 on top of that; so Peak and Harm had stoopid lift lines. Symph was Iced-up and did not open. Little Whistler skied great. The snow-line was Chickpea: Icy nonsense below. What were you doing on the icy-gravel on Olympic run?
    Today; February 4th had a short line-up on PeakX due to fog on Peak: grooming decent on Saddle, Upper Peak2Creek. Off-piste was lumpier due to Fog-humidity. Was gonna go Symph but I stopped under the chair on Burnt Stew for a lift-line review ='Sucked' ...so get me outta here. Dave back to Creekside was a decent spring-groomer; whereas Sat 3 it was FIS GS Icy.
