When cutting the Styrofoam, try using a very hot knife and use the back edge. It melts the Styrofoam instead of cutting it and doesn't leave all of those little static cling balls behind.
Trust me, the styrofoam will break, never decomposing, and those nearly invisible particles will enter your body through your mouth and nose and your children's mouth and nose. It is not good.
you can get a foam cutter at walmart in florals right where their foam is for about $7 if you do much foam cutting or a wood burner works well too. I bought one just because I like using DT's foam board for stuff. Blessings all!
If you use the acetone method please be aware that this combination of styrofoam and acetone will always create toxic fumes. You will need to wear a mask and work outside.
@@retro.x a knife or gouging tool, the Q-tip has to be wet and it have to be an acetone polish remover, yeah the acetone is strong smelling but I'm sure there are fumes with using a styrofoam got tool also.
I use my crock pot outside when the food is done, remove the glass lid. Put the splatter cover to let the food cool. Then you can safely bring the food into house.
That's very pretty. Definitely something for a wedding or bridal shower. The titles for some of these videos is hilarious though. I think the majority of people buying splatters screens at the Dollar Tree is to use them as splatter screens. 🤣
A very pretty idea for the centre of the table while dining with good friends. I love this idea....very pretty indeed. I will do one of these after getting a few items shown here. Thanks for sharing your idea.
Cute idea. I agree, a real candle will melt the hot glue. My dollar tree sells packs of the large metal rings. So that is an option too instead of the splatter screen! ☺️
The Dollar Store by me has round rings in the Floral Dept in bags. think 3 to a bag. Would that be easier then buying the splatter screens and taking the screens out. Yours came out real pretty
Looks great. Why destroy a splatter screen but use a set of macrame rings? Also, I think since the round mirror wasn’t beveled, that I would wrap a single row of bling wrap around the outer edge of it-more finished that way. I really love this concept tho!❤️
I love it. I am going to try it but I'm going to put the garland around the circle parts and then add my blink to it. I am also going to use a bigger candle holder. Thanks for the project. It's amazing 🤩❤️🤩
These would look very pretty at a wedding table prom or other type of formal setting as well. I wonder if there is a way to hang them safely to for some extra along walls or windows at a party to.
I also get very impatient with certain videos, but don't want to miss out on content. So I click on settings (above) and then select Playback speed. This time I went for 2x.
Since you are covering the mirror, you could use a wood disk instead, perhaps a birch disk would look pretty, or another background...the mirror is covered up with foam and flowers, this might give a great 'live edge'...Blessings!
That turned out really pretty! I can see so many uses for that design. But I have to say- until you put the mirror on it and adding the bling, my thought was “ wow, she’s making rabbit ears”! Great project!
I hate to be a kill joy! But ........what was the point in doing all the white polystyrene, the mirror etc .prior to putting on the roses as .....!!!!!!they are not seen???
read the comment for easier cutting of the Styrofoam. and let me save you a long 3 and a half minutes (from 1:00 to 4:30) is a long attempt at cutting two channels for the rings to fit in.
The smartest thing that should be on everyone's mind right now should be to invest in different streams of income that are not dependent on the government. Especially with the current economic crisis around the world. This is still a good time to invest in gold, silver and digital currencies (BTC ETH...).

Sounds good to me!

A much easier and cleaner way to cut styrofoam is either a soldering or wood burning tool or nail polish remover with a Q-tip.
If you use the acetone method please be aware that this combination of styrofoam and acetone will always create toxic fumes. You will need to wear a mask and work outside.
Nail polish & Qtip must melt it? Clever trick to know. Thank you.
@@mamacitabambi3558 , yes, the nail polish melts syrofoam, but just putting some on a Q-tip is perfect for a clean cut!
@@Jb.art1 so the Q tip will act like a knife???

Very pretty!! You could also add the jem stones to the inside of the metal rings for more shimmer!
That was my thought also
Creativity is alive and well! I really love that.
I think I would like to recreate this with the flowers!! It is absolutely beautiful!! Thank you for sharing!! ❤️
The faux flowers + the faux candle inside of the ring is a Real Show Stopper 🤩! Thanks for sharing
Very cool idea! I'm going to do this design but hang a Disco ball from above so you get lighted mirror tracers everywhere. Thanks for the great idea!
The disco foam would be too way heavy
@@ingridqz1207 I'm thinking maybe she isn't going to make the disco ball 🎆🕯
@@badabing9143 more like a Faceted crystal. :)
I love them both but I think if I do the flower centerpiece I would use a taller candle holder. Both are beautiful!
That was my thought exactly I think because of the size of it it the little bitty candle looks lost 🕯🎆🕯
I agree! I think a big vase or other small vase with fresh flowers would be lovely!

Yeah that looks like a pain taking that wire mesh out of there
One of the beautiful handcrafted piece of art I ever seen
You can glue the pointed end of gem to a silver pony bead also found at $ tree to have a flat surface!
You could use a soldering iron or a woodburning tool and just melts through that so much easier!
I love the flowered one. It’s so pretty. Ty.
I think this would be just as beautiful without the hoops too; so many options!
I was not sure I was going to be a fan in the beginning, but you knocked it out of the park!! Awesome job 👏!
Splatter screen is actually GREAT 4 Draining grease
Very pretty! But I would put a little bigger candle holder
Yeah, that tiny votive candle leaves a lot of weird open space in the middle. A pillar candle would work so much better.
Also a bigger real candle will catch the mirror and crystals better
WOW! That's very beautiful,I would have never thought of using dollar tree items 😂Your very creative!! Love your video.
AT FIRST I SAID "I DONT KNOW ABOUT THIS😩" BUT AFTER YOU HAD COMPLETED THIS WONDERFUL PROJECT, I LIKE "WOWWWW" GREAT JOB. ❤❤👍👍
Beautiful I think it would great wedding centerpieces
That's really pretty and I appreciate your clear instructions 😊
It’s beautiful. I really love it. You are very creative
Very pretty!
Thats a lot of Dollar Tree items for one piece. What was the cost for a completed piece? Maybe $15?
Very pretty great idea 💡💕🥰
Having a vacuum cleaner handy is great for cleaning up the mess from the Styrofoam.
Awesome look 👌🏾 I'm going to try this diy 😀
Love it! Thank you for the ideas!
Amazing!!! How do you come up with these ideas???
The Dollar Store by me has round rings in the Floral Dept in bags. think 3 to a bag. Would that be easier then buying the splatter screens and taking the screens out. Yours came out real pretty
I agree but all dollar trees don't carry the same items. Also the grease screens are always usually there

SO pretty! How do you think of these things?!
They are beautiful
What happened to the handles od the splatter screen? How did you remove them? Ty.
Gorgeous! ❤️
Instead of cutting the styrofoam couldn’t you just heat the section of the ring up with a torch then insert it to the styrofoam?
I love it. Thank you for sharing
This would be a nice wedding decoration.
Those are beautiful
Beautiful!
These are so pretty thank you

I'd put gems on the inside of the ring too, but wow, love this

Hahaha rabbit ears that's a good one 💭 ❣
Just heat the rings and stick them into the foam
Flower arrangement foamy blocks would work also
Very creative
Really nice. Be well.
Legend has it that Kathy is still carving a foam block somewhere 🤔 lol 😆
These would make pretty centerpieces for a wedding
Don't need the styrofoam, just an inverted wine glass
What is the point of the mirror?
Very pretty
Where did you buy the glass gems please?
I've seen them at Dollar Tree, sold by the bag. But I think those might be plastic gems instead of glass... not sure
Could you like heat the ring and then melt the Styrofoam instead of using a knife to cut it🤔
Pretty cool
Oh those are awesome
Beautiful butvi didnt see what you used the splatter screen for???
She used only the rims.
Love this

It’s ok but a lot of work. But if you love it then that’s all that matters :)
All that hot glue is gonna melt with candle heat
She said to use the battery candles for that reason.
