  • The game is over for the trucks in 2024. There was a time when trucks were the kings of the road. But for the last few months, they have been collecting dust even with extremely low prices. But what actually happened behind the scenes? What factors are contributing and how is it affecting the overall car market? Also, is this the end or we see a rise again? All these questions are going to be answered right now.

Trucks are ridiculously expensive now. My local Ford dealer had an F150 asking $150k nobody I know can afford that. As far as EVs and modern tech? Not for me…all I want is an older truck with reliable sturdy engine and drive train that I can fill the bed up with gravel.

Vehicles in general are too expensive and EV’s are off the table. This video is out of date and irrelevant.

The Dealerships have cheated the customers and raised prices with less reliability and service. Now they are paying the price, like i have said before Greed Kills. My truck is a 69 Dodge I paid 5900 and it runs great. My cousin purchased a 2020 dodge and he is always having problems and he paid 60000. His trade in value is the same as my pickup because of the reliability. I have spent $6000 dollars on upgrades for my truck and I have more power and some of the new gadgets, backup camera, disk breaks and my engine was rebuilt at 250000 miles with a power increase. I also have a wench on the front an extra alternator for my power outlets in the front and in the bed. Just imagine what he could have done if he had bought an older truck and fixed it up.

I can't speak for anybody else. But they don't make trucks for me anymore. The cabs are too big. I have no use for an suv with a bed. I don't need to haul an entire football team around.
Modern trucks are too fancy and expensive. I would never take a shiny, $90K truck off road or to a job site. I'm not going to toss anything in the bed to haul around. Even if I could afford that. But frankly, there's no way in hell I'm paying 2-3X my yearly salary for a truck.
Most of the manufacturers are getting rid of the 6 and 8 cylinders. I will NEVER buy a full size truck with a 4 cylinder engine. That is nothing but absurd.
The luxury b.s. has gone WAY too far. It's fine if you want the extras. But trucks are coming standard with heated and cooled seats and steering wheels, dual zone climate controls, and my absolute most hated feature, the infotainment center. Why TF would anybody ever need a screen while you're driving? Both for the attention demanding visual aspect AND the touch screen. I like physical knobs and buttons that I can activate without having to look. But the thing about it that bothers me most, is that it adds thousands to the vehicle price and has dozens to hundreds of features that most people will use 3 of at most and just like computers, it is obsolete by the time you drive it off the lot.
I personally believe that the only features that should come standard are regular heating and a/c and a reasonably modern stereo system. The only options I'm interested in are cab size, manual or automatic transmission, or standard vs upsized engine.

Truck prices are out of control , and so are EV. The price are ridiculously inflated. No average working people can afford this nonsense to pay for a fancy golf cart. Here in northern Ontario , here just a few chargers in our area and sometimes most of chargers don’t work in our extreme freezing weather. One person complained his battery only lasted 5 years and seems no garages were able to to fix it, except to replace it with a new battery.

It's not like a car when the engine goes out you can rebuild it or replace it. Ev's when the battery goes out it completely totals the car. Once depreciation hit's the EV market which will be very soon. it will cost more to replace the battery than what the entire car is even worth. Soon there will be junkyards dedicated for only ev's because there will be so many of them piled up. And these people actually think they are helping the environment lol. Only people they are helping are the chinese who are building these batteries and the African mining company owners who have child labor mining for all the material that make these batteries.

In 2016, I bought a Toyota tacoma. I had a chance to buy a GMC canyon. I chose the tacoma because it rode more like a truck. The Canyon Rode like a luxury car. The KISS method is best. We want low prices and trucks. Not, glorified luxury cars!

CURIOSE WHY YOUR SAYING THAT TRUCKS ARE A LOW PRICE NOW. THAT'S BS. THEIR VERY COSTLY NOW. The quality of new cars and trucks is garbage. They can sit and rot. I will fix or repair mine forever before I buy one. I will never buy and ev. Just a scam as all the reports now show. Pathetic.
