I had received similar trick for jee advance exam from coaching teacher. I followed those advice sincerely. Solve paper as if u r in exam hall. No AC when u r practicing at home, bcz many exam halls have just fans which may not be working sometimes. I even started eating only those things which I am going to eat on my exam date... This helped tremendously. I was calmed during exam. Focused on paper nicely. Cleared jee advanced and now in IIT.

This is one of best advice video.
I would like to say about my experience
I have cleared IBPS exam 3 times and railway and LIC exams once in India, CAT 94.5 percentile, MBA PGCET (Karnataka) 33 rank and MCA PGCET 47 rank.
Right now I'm not working in any of them, I'm working as Data Engineer in Ireland.
I just want to speak on clearing the competitive exams which are biggest thing in India right now
    ---------
    read full and then comment
    --------
My simple trick for clearing this exams are
    1) study daily with small amount of time, and do not study for clearing the exams rather study for understanding the theory behind it, once it is done you are good in one topic and so move on with another one.
    2) Do not try to master all the topics, I like Probability, permutation and Combination, but most of the time I never attempted the question during the exams on this topic because I can solve 2 questions on other topic instead of one question from this as this was time consuming for me.
    3) you are never done with preparation this is key point so practice daily by splitting the time, one you feel that you have gone through all the topics start taking test, do not just solve question papers of exams which you are attempting rather just take any exams paper of those topic and solve them as still you are in starting point more question we solve more command we will have on the topic, to be frank it all depends on person IQ level on how many question you need to solve to understand topic properly, mine was and is Less IQ so I might have solved more then 500 questions on each topic, if I saw a question I use to take a paper and pen solve it.
    4) on the day of exam fucking do not study anything, I use to see lot of people holding the books and mugging up something, all the exams I went inside was RMD in my mouth (which i left now) and for 2 exams I went to bar drank beer and then wrote the exam which I cleared. Passing the exam does not depend on how much you study on the day, its a test match buddy you have to play consistently and with passion. Just go to exam thinking that you want to solve another question paper that's it.
    5) All the above point has hidden strategy without with you cannot clear the exam
    a) Time management - while preparing you have to focus on time, initially start by solving less question and then increase the time, concentrate more on the accuracy rather then just attempting.
lets say 1 mark for right answer and 0.25 marks for wrong answer. If person attempt 20 questions in 30 minutes with 50% accuracy his total will be 7.5 marks and if another person attempts 15 questions with 90% accuracy his score will be 12.5 marks(considering 2 wrong question). I have seen many saying I attempted 90 out of 100 but still not clearing the exams.
    b) cutoff marks - always keep track on previous year cut off marks and prepare for +5 in exam which you are attempting.
    c) give equal importance to all the section not just while writing exams but even while practicing and on the day of exam please do not stick on one question fucking solving toughest question will also gives 1 mark and solving easy also give 1 mark.
    d) remember 20% of the question in any competitive exams will be such that you can solve it in within 30 seconds (if you have prepared and practices well) means out of 25 questions 5 question you can solve in just 2 mins max time, 40% of question will be taking less then one minute and 20% takes 1 to 1.5 minutes rest 20% fucking are then one which you must never even read the question because it is waste of time.
    ..............................................................................................................................
this was my strategy there are more which i use to apply...
    ..........................................
remember one thing bleed when you are practicing and go to exams just for fun,,, I bet you will clear any exams
I know not every one situation is same some needs jobs necessary and not. but my dear friends keep in mind whether you are attempting interview or exams you will fail but also keep in mind to learn from them.
    ---------------------------------
I wrote all this exams just to check how much competitive I'm (not including CAT, MBA, MCA they were written for masters entrance)
    .....
apologies if any of the worlds means abusive for anyone

Quick summary for someone who cannot watch the whole video:
So basically he says that the key to not let stress and anxiety take over during crucial times is to normalise and trivialise that stressful situation in your mind. Trick your mind into believing that it is not that stressful of a situation. I know this is easier said than done. Get used to the conditions that generally cause you anxiety be it feeling of time running out, or anything else. Maybe watch a funny, light video before that stressful moment so that less cortisol is released at that time.

An interesting thing happened with me when I gave my GMAT exam this year which validates your explanation in this video. The first two times I was not able to give the exam due to technical difficulties in the exam center and then on the third time I finally gave my exam. And this was the best thing that happened to me. The first time I had gone to give the GMAT exam I had been quite anxious and scared, worried about the outcome of the exam. But it got postponed and the second time I went I was less scared and anxious. And when it got delayed again, the third and final time I was super chill about writing the exam and I score extremely well!
If I had given the exam the first time itself I might not have gotten the same marks.

IITians are not just successful because they studied at a great institute, rather they are successful because they learned the importance of perseverance, motivation, never-give-up attitude, managing emotions, time management, etc at a very tender age. Since, they learn these at a tender age, it is implanted in their minds for the whole life ahead. And that is what makes them successful in life! Very simple way is to practice discipline from childhood.. And always try to simulate or do practicals of any bookish knowledge.. If a person is disciplined from childhood they can make it quite easily.. As your brain is always mostly alert and never in comfort zone.. Also the transition from one state to another in brain becomes quite easier..

New and informative video to me.. stress happens only because we fear to lose something or we have fear of failure. Be fearless is all that this video is about and to be fearless we have to put ourself in practice mode always.

Thanks sir for this video sir, I failed in a interview of the dream college, I went blank in that interview, I had one more interview in a week time which I attended following your points and I did excellent in that and got selected. Now I'm earning more than i was to earn if I had cracked the previous interview.

I used to do some squats and push up if possible before the interview or presentation. Chewing gum also helps. They also reduce cortisol levels and induces happy hormones.

Have been watching you videos recently and the content is amazing. I like the effort you put into lighting here and i can see you don't have it in your recent ones. With a few corrections it would have been great imho. if you only have one light, just don't shine it directly into you and definitely not into the wall causing that bright spot. Try using a teal linen as background and that should be a good start. Don't worry about the scopes and color correction in final cut for now. We will do as next step. keep up the amazing work :)

I would highly recommend a book named “emotional intelligence”! It in depth covers the differences between our emotional “monkey” brain and neocortex. It also explains how to develop emotional intelligence.
