  • After years of effort, Poland joined the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO for short) on 12 March 1999. One of the major tasks of the Polish government after 1989 was to secure Poland's defence capability as well as ensure its safety. The video describes Poland's road to NATO, including steps made by the Polish diplomacy and the role of Jan Nowak-Jeziorański in lobbying the US authorities to admit Poland to the organisation.
The video is intended for the 8th grade of the primary school and for all levels of the secondary school.
    The core curriculum:
    - the 8th grade
Section 42: The presence of Poland in the contemporary world. The student can discuss the reasons for Poland's admission to NATO in 1999 and its role for the country.
    - the secondary school (the basic level)
Section 59: The birth of the Third Republic of Poland and its role in the world at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries. The student can describe and evaluate the Polish foreign policy (including Poland's admission to NATO and the European Union).

Poland has proven itself once again, and NATO? maybe we should write it in lowercase, our allies behave like they did in 1939. we are left alone in action, Poland has not yet perished while we are still alive🇵🇱po co na darmo robić kilometry
