Thanks this is the best guitar strumming tips a beginner can play and make a world of difference in your playing I ever seen. Strum the guitar like a drummer playing different sets of drum sounds varying the top, middle and bottom strings to sound more dynamically nice. You could also matched your fingerpicking patterns to your strumming and they sound the same in harmony together. Learn to lock your bass guitar (root of chord )to the kick drum to improve your rhythm timing and sound nice to everybody following the beats of the song.

Very good advice. I'll practice the last one with the bass notes. As a drummer who has also become a guitarist, the snare and bass emphasis is useful. It's something I've become aware of, how training as a drummer gives me a good foundation on guitar. If you can naturally feel where in the bar you are, then it lets your strumming rhythm be free to move around a bit, and becomes extra helpful for songs in 3/4 and 6/8. And there's quite a lot of worship songs you find in these time signatures. For example, tomorrow at church we're playing a Hillsong one, 'You Crown the Year' with chord changes moving around (if I'm counting in 3/4) on the first beat, then the third, etc, and some bars in the verses changing to 4/4 then back to 3/4. It's good practice if anyone wants to worship and practice rhythm and timing. Really helps the band as a whole, and the congregation, if you can keep the timing quite solid.

Great advice. I had a friend in college who went from drums to guitar and I was jealous how fast he picked up the strumming. Wasn’t that easy for me when I was first learning. Of course, I’ve also been able to pick up the basics of drums relatively easy because of the guitar timing so it all works out.

I play electric/lead mostly. But when I play melodies clean, I always try to arpegiate chords or add extra notes to the chords. BTW, my clean sound includes reverb, delay, and a little chorus.

I like this style being in the living room with a nice couch and lamp. For me, It looks nice and feels chill.
By the way, I know most people at Worship Artistry are guitarists, but are you gonna do some videos like this for other instruments as well?

WorshipArtistry.com actually covers guitar, bass, drums, keyboard and vocals =. We've been ramping up guitar on RUclips but there's a lot more coming :)
