I've been to Florida for vacation, I've been to the parks which was cool but after a while, you get bored of Florida. There's much more things to do in New York despite its problems

I know for old people Flordia vis NY is great because of the snow and ice during the winter months but I personally HATE beach weather and overall I prefer the close proximity of everything in NY via walking, biking, and trains vs Florida where you are forced to own a car on top of Florida's pro bigotry and pro gun laws.

No there is no breathing a sigh of relief too many have already moved hear causing major major problems, but the thing they haven’t got a good taste for yet is the hurricanes that are coming. They are coming down here buying homes not realizing the real dangers they put themselves in and all for what because the taxes. The cost of living in Florida really is not that far off now than what it is in New York after half of them moved here. It’s simple math a kid can understand. More People = cost of living goes up.

As someone who lived here 33 years. Best advice I can give you is don't. Ya'll zurg rushed us so hard last few years that the reasons you left came here and somehow you get less on top of that than you did up there! Your pay is at least 25% lower unless you're lucky enough to snag a WFH job that "bases" you up north. And worst yet, our traffic engineers are in the pockets of Big Traffic Light. So it leads to a joke down here like "downtown Orlando is 30 minutes from downtown Orlando." And all that protected land that some of us like to do our hunting and fishing got torn up via backroom deals with the state to build more houses that developers openly say are for NY'ers only. If I became governor, first two things I would do is replace the "welcome to Florida" signs at the border with MiG-21s that say "Yankee go home!" spray painted on the side and change the state song to an Floridianized version of the protest song "Ami go home."
