Your pay is at least 25% lower unless you're lucky enough to snag a WFH job that "bases" you up north. And worst yet, our traffic engineers are in the pockets of Big Traffic Light. So it leads to a joke down here like "downtown Orlando is 30 minutes from downtown Orlando." And all that protected land that some of us like to do our hunting and fishing got torn up via backroom deals with the state to build more houses that developers openly say are for NY'ers only. If I became governor, first two things I would do is replace the "welcome to Florida" signs at the border with MiG-21s that say "Yankee go home!" spray painted on the side and change the state song to an Floridianized version of the protest song "Ami go home."
