I have the 1.5 and it can shift! Also does 61 mpg on long drive 38/40 around town very very comfortable. Don't like the stop start and side assist though both are dangerous in my opinion so I have to remember to turn them off at the start of each journey. I have the SEL 7gear dsg gear box. Also has temp control knobs just make sure it's in manual mode - Nice smart practical car
Scala is essentially similar to Kamiq, with a larger trunk (~100L more) and slightly lower presence. If you ignore the SUV "stereotype" and look for a decent size family car - I'd go for Scala too. But in any case, compared to the other alternatives on the market - it is a bargain. Especially if you consider the abundance of the safety systems included for the price.
Bought one a few months ago, its a fab family car its great for the everyday but also adaptable for those trips away with the roof bars. Plus that 1.0 with the 6 speed is really great, bit of punch when you need it plus I get between 55-60 mpg on an A road and motorway driving. Id recommend the SEL trim as it has the digial dash just makes it feel expensive and modern. Best value family car in 2024 easily!
Had one of these in top spec and was fantastic! Great boot space and cabin massive compared to similar cars in this class. Only thing missing was rear camera but as it was small it wasn’t an issue
That was a great review. I'm really interested of getting one of these since they seem like a good value for money. The fact that Kamiq and Scala were on the Whatcar 2023 least reliable cars list is a bit worrying though.
Very nice car, had one as a loan and I loved it, but didn't love all the heating controls being on screen...very difficult to sort that out while driving, proper dials are best for me personally. Also didn't like that I couldn't turn the lane steering assist off permanently. And I also don't like that in Rip Off Ireland, 2019 models are selling for 20,000 euro...way more (as usual) than UK prices.....**edit....note to self, watch before comment....the one i had was brand new model, just noticed the one you had did have dials......rushing out to buy one as we speak 😅😅
Just check for dodgy electrics. The infotainment glitches like crazy and dealership won’t fix it unless you pay them £150 for an update. Auto has faults with not registering its in park and the car won’t lock as a result. Again, another cost as dealership won’t fix. The boot is smaller than you think too. Lane assist is a pain. Stop start is awful. Make sure you turn this off. Hearing controls are simply awkward as you have to use the infotainment to adjust them, which is borderline unsafe and fiddly on the move.

Since it's VAG those niggles could be coded out most likely. Look into it!
😊
I’ve had Skoda Scala SEL 110TSI for the last 4 years (£125/m on a lease). The best value car I’ve ever owned,

Great practicality and Czech-ness!
I love that engine and gearbox combo. Really quite satisfying to punt along 🤓
Swiss and dubious treatment of prisoners 🤔
I bought a Lexus RX450h that had been part-exchanged for a new Kamiq. They got a new car, I got a better one.

Buy one in Bulgaria and I love it!
Tim Roddie is my hero
Perhaps you should learn to spell his name, then.

The most stylish to me is the Audi Q3 Sportback. Possibly my favorite.
hace once meses que disfrutamos de uno y estamos encantados
Excellent quality video. Wishing you more subscribers and views 🍀
Reviewers😢 90 bhp not enough but 110 is. Check the torque curves. Same old quips by every reviewer. Put some unpaid owners on instead
BEST ENGINE 999 CC OR 1.5 CC
OMG a sensable car no1 needs to go tree menus on a screen just to turn the temp up or
down
Try turning the knobs!
Do they do leather if so what colors.

S is entry level
Heavy chat , with a decent engine. Miles behind Japanese and Koreans .
Feels like the Asian brands are the brands that are making the most interesting cars these days
No chance, modern Skodas are up there with them. I know, I’ve had them all.
What's a Kamiq why not a English name .
