This piece was composed by Paul Mauriat in memoriam over 5,000 victims of the terrible earthquake in Kobe district, Japan in 1995.Raymond Lefèvre used to play only the piano in his later days, but originally studied flute playing with Prof. Marcel Moyse.
Paul Mauriat (Paul Mauriat) charity fundraising album "Quartet For Kobe" (Kobe Quartet). This is a historic album. In order to commemorate the victims of the 1995 Kobe earthquake, Mr. Paul Moria specially composed "Quartet For Kobe" (the first song on the album) and invited the conductors of three other French light music bands to perform it together. I found this CD on Xianyu a few days ago and I have been admiring this album for a long time. I was still studying in Japan in 1995, and the earthquake that year was also tragic. The music of the Kobe Quartet is full of sadness, bringing a sad mood to the audience. As a top student of classical piano at the Conservatory of Music in Marseille, France, Mr. Paul Mauriat is responsible for playing the piano himself (Francis Lai, Raymond Lefevre, Franck Pourcel) violin, accordion, and flute echoed symphonically during the performance. The other three French musicians also performed passionately, with a French style of music that was extremely beautiful.
