I can't believe i've finally found this game. I've been asking people for years for "a snes game i played in my friend's house with an awesome rotating jet plane battle boss in the first stage". Now that i've found it, i couldn't describe it better hahaha
No puedo creer que haya conocido la snes desde que tengo practicamente memoria y no conocí este juego hasta recien el año pasado tremenda joya infravalorada
This game was great. It took me forever trying to find the name of this. Re-watching it again you notice it still is great but the bosses could have been a little more challenging.
Run Saber works on SNES Classic Mini. I hacked Run Saber into my SNES Classic Mini. I originally played this game in physical form. My brother introduced this game to me. This game was developed in Japan, but, for unknown reasons, it was not released there.
I remember hearing about this game when I was young and skipping over it thinking it was a shooter. Had I known it was strider with a screw attack and SNES level music and graphics, would've purchased in a heartbeat! 8:00 really reminds me of the first stage of strider, but with improved graphics.
man I'm tearing up watching this anybody think the deep voice in the first level saying Fu** You as a kid? lol my silly self did. Run Saber was one of my favorites to play along with zelda, star fox, all Marios all donkey kongs. Street Fighter 2 Turbo Chrono Trigger and tons more! the list is honestly endless.
The license has belonged to SEGA since the takeover of ATLUS, it would be great if he remembered it to be able to use the license or even release it on SWITCH.
another fine play by Sensei SCHLAUCHI! a very underrated SNES gem, IMO. (I happen to have a copy). and it's kinda sad... as sad as Osman Cannondancer (also published by Atlus, developed by Mitchell of Buster Bros./Pang fame) also not getting any recognition, despite actually being created by Kouichi Isuke, the father of Strider Hiryu thus discarding any status as a Strider clone. oh well, at least team Cubex is showing this great game to public light. hope Osman may soon be played here as well!
This is what characterizes this game, at least when you play as the male character... omfg!!! ive been searching this game for ages!!!!!!!!!! holy shet man!!!! i remeber it as a kid and also thought to myself it was like contra and search all snes title to find it damn!!!!
In 2020 or 2019 me and my dad would play this till 12 am didnt matter if it was on a school night it was the best lol we only could beat the 2nd boss I think the weird skeleton lady or whatever she was
I found this game in a 5 dollar bin at a local store and when I took it to the counter hoping I'd get it for that price the guy was like....uhhhhh this shouldn't be over there, this game is 70 dollars😳 lol I should've demanded it for the 5 dollar price but that's not my style😎
strider does lack on some visuals but i played it to the end, man the music is much better and the sword ching really brings the game up after playing it was a 10 out of 10 fun factor!!!
here's another useless-yet-interesting fact: the bosslady on stage 2 had an actual face, but due to Nintendo's strict no-hits-on-women policies of the time, same which had the US Final Fight have Sid & Billy instead of Poison & Roxy, she was defaced and recolored to look like a living statue. thank Heaven times have indeed changed!
That's because the creator of this game, also created the original Strider arcade game, as well as Osman/Cannon Dancer (arcade game quite similar to Strider).
yeah, Nintendo was a bundled mess when it came to its policies back then: no hitting women, no blood, no religious references... then came Street Fighter 2 & they HAD to set those aside just to start making the bucks. with the failing in sales of their version of Mortal Kombat 1 they had to eschew away the no blood policies. that's how companies learn their mistakes= with their wallets!
Nintendo of America was very narcissistic in how they made their video games back in the day. They learned the hard way that, Nintendo is not 4kids and changed for the best.
maybe you are talking about strider 2. but strider 1 so in the arcade and as in the great megadrive port, was a great game with perfect control, adventurous with great stages graphics and boses. this cheap ripoff is a sad example of cloning a great capcom game.

I use to play this game non stop when I was a kid and have been looking for it for months!!
Me too. This game remind me my childhood I could not remember what game name, but finally I found.
I can not believe. It was simple. you should just have typed strider clone on google...
I am commenting here to remind you about this beautiful game again after 6 years.
Finished Run Saber today. It was overall an fun video game! Thank you and goodbye Run Saber!!!!!!!!!!
Looks like a mix between strider and contra, very good game indeed.
I've been search for this childhood game for 10 years! I like the music, sound, gameplay, and unlimited ultimate strike :D
the characters from this game are so cool, all of them deserves to be better known and to have more fan art.
No puedo creer que haya conocido la snes desde que tengo practicamente memoria y no conocí este juego hasta recien el año pasado
tremenda joya infravalorada
ZERO ( human version ) from Megaman X Series.
excellent longplay! I used to tear up from that ending seeing the kid run to his parents
A Strider for SNES, too top.
This game was great. It took me forever trying to find the name of this. Re-watching it again you notice it still is great but the bosses could have been a little more challenging.
Is even the music some guy saying "HAH!" ? :D
The Strider-like knockoff I wanted back in the day but never got around to buying once ps1 came out.
10:38 The Creepiest Non-Castlevania Boss I've ever seen.
I think that boss was altered for the American version. In the original it's a normal looking woman.
Yeah, now it looks cooler.
I don't think it's THAT creepy...

I like Japanese platform games

Eu jogava esse jogo com um amigo quando eu era criança kkk até que enfim eu descobri o nome desse jogo kkk
Cara, tambem passei anos procurando o nome desse jogo!
@@ErickJeronimo sim mano, bom saber que o nome desse jogo é run saber.

I loved that Game so much and I realy liked the Characters:)
Sad the time was going so fast I miss my Childhood and playing SNES for Hours xd
Like StarTropics, Run Saber was developed in Japan, but was not released there, thus was released only in North America and Europe.

I have a copy too
Love the music in the second level.

HAHAHA 2! Electric Heeheehee
This totally deserved a 2 player run.
Never heard of this game before and it looks fun as hell! Clearly heavily inspired by Strider.
Jogo fantástico.
I actually find some of the background graphics very impressive in this game :)
Finally found this game. I was just thinking about this badass game about cyborgs with energy swords
ストライダー飛竜っぽいなあ
日本でも発売して欲しかったな~
I remember playing this as a kid
This game is featured in Nintendo power magazine volume 50
The theme music for the jet boss reminds me of the Simpson's arcade game.
Top game from my childhood
great boss fights, kinda reminds me off other boss fights too. Cool...
Capcom Strider snes version "clone"?
5ب4ظظ
***** Yes is same to Strider capcom like adventure island to wonder boy (hundson games).
Yes! I think the same!
omfg!!! ive been searching this game for ages!!!!!!!!!! holy shet man!!!! i remeber it as a kid and also thought to myself it was like contra and search all snes title to find it damn!!!!
Soon as he scream hoh hoh hoh i knew this was the game i was looking for.
Music: [left speaker] Hah! [right speaker] Hah! x30.... Strange voice: SPAZIBA ! (REPEAT)
Game is pretty good.
Yup
Truly underrated SFC gem.
Good Strider clone!
Does anyone else think the final boss looks like the Giant Warrior from Nausicaa?
Huh, that 2nd level boss just scremed Shin Megami Tensei.
An extremely good game, shame it's too expensive to buy in this day and age, would love a physical copy in my collection.
And extremely good Hashimoto music.
In 2020 or 2019 me and my dad would play this till 12 am didnt matter if it was on a school night it was the best lol we only could beat the 2nd boss I think the weird skeleton lady or whatever she was
that spin attack reminds me of the screw attack in metriod =w=
I had game long time ago is one my favorite super NES
GREAT game. Also, my very second game I playd
This game resembles Mega Drive Strider but with more moves
@ 07:37 - Why does this boss fight remind me so much of Phantos from Super Mario 2?
Yo, this game looks nice.
A better Strider than Strider.
Yeah. Strider may have been a passable port, but its performance issues held it back.
Coolness! I wonder if there's a longplay of the girl character... or maybe a two-player run.
Strider?
Same guy behind both.
I found this game in a 5 dollar bin at a local store and when I took it to the counter hoping I'd get it for that price the guy was like....uhhhhh this shouldn't be over there, this game is 70 dollars😳 lol I should've demanded it for the 5 dollar price but that's not my style😎
Therefore, he said the game cost more than a AAA game.
This game works on SNES Classic Mini.
This game is like the bare minimum of a good side scroller can’t believe it cost 70.
more like walk saber
It looks cooler then strider to me
strider does lack on some visuals but i played it to the end, man the music is much better and the sword ching really brings the game up after playing it was a 10 out of 10 fun factor!!!
la jugabilidad esta perfecta, pero piramides y jungla en Peru? eso no es MExico papá!

491,400 Perfect score.
It's too easy. was the difficulty lowered in the American version?
There was only an American version.
Strider 2 + Contra 3 in one game
mad max
hwah-hwah-hwah-hwah
i m not sure but this is RIP off of strider
A very generic and bland rip-off of Strider, aye.
+Ragnarok Hussain this is like Strider but better
fake ass Strider lol
That's because the creator of this game, also created the original Strider arcade game, as well as Osman/Cannon Dancer (arcade game quite similar to Strider).
No
i beat the game on hard! short game though
OMG at 05:34 it's the Flying Spaghetti Monster
Rygar meets Ninja Gaiden with bad 80s techno pop music
Meu jogo
Who gives a shit? As long as it's fun.
24:03-24:04
this game looks like it was rushed in development
Strider Clone xDD
Same guy who made Strider, and Cannon Dancer, also did this.
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

I performed well on SNES version. Blood sugar or not, Own game and play them all that matters.
did you mean please learn THE English language ?
Slow as balls
Strider rip off
You can't ripoff from a game you created. Same guy behind Strider did this.
A rare Strider ripoff, how many can you name?
@@Bloodreign1 ISN'T STRIDER MADE BY CAPCOM??
not as good as strider
Copy and paste Strider
seems to be a capcom's masterpiece strider cheap rip-off.

Ah, what a generic piece of shit game :)
Games fun, not sure what you're prattling on about.
