    Nice! Once I got sandwich bread down we never looked back! So much better. I’m so disgusted by all the additives and preservatives and just general junk that is hidden in our food only to make us sick over time. Thank God for Azure Standard!

    If the kids don’t respond well to the wheat bread, mix your flour 1/2 and 1/2. It makes it closer to the white bread with some of the wheat benefits. I found it a good compromise.

    Just a lil hint for you in your bread making:
    I bake my bread in multiple batches then freeze the individual loaves of bread raw and before the first proofing. The first proofing is done as the dough thaws. The second proofing is in the from I want the bread to be. That way I don’t have to be making bread every other day. I just pull it from the freezer, let it thaw then form it and bake it. Sometimes I pull it from the freezer last thing before bed and thaw it overnight in the fridge. The last proof in the morning.

      I'll have to give this a try. Thank you! Is that for a sourdough? I've been doing a regular/yeast white bread with only two proofs during the day, then slice after baking, and freezing. We pull them out a couple hours before needing them.

      @@tinyshedlife I haven’t ventured into sourdough successfully yet. But all the other breads you mentioned as well as other breads I’ve made this works great. Anadama, cinnamon rolls, focaccia and our New England brown bread from B&M Baked Beans when they were here in Portland.

    Nuts can get rancid. Do you store extra in the fridge or do you go through them quick enough before they do?

    • @tinyshedlife
      @tinyshedlife  2 месяца назад +1

      Depending on the variety, we go through the 5lb bags anywhere between 1-3 months. I'd say the ones in the house get replaced monthly and the ones in storage we keep at 45° in the pantry cooler. No issue yet, thoughts?

    • @kimberlee7385

      @@tinyshedlife sounds like you store them properly and go through them quick enough before they go bad. I've had sunflower seeds go bad, store bought, small bags for nibbling. I also had refrigeratorated pecans go bad after a few months. Maybe they were old to begin with.
      Thanks 😊

    If the whole white wheat flour doesn’t work with the family I would highly recommend trying Azure Standards ultra unifine bread flour. I’ve found that is acts like regular flour with most it being mostly whole grain! It’s delicious!

The only thing I find to be more expensive than buying local (which are not organic while these are organic) were beans. Wheat berries and mason jars especially, are pennies compared to the cheapest I could find elsewhere
