@@HiddenWen honestly river of blood feel like cheating vs her. Its stupid that you can outrange her and stagget her with it and you do a ton of bleed aswell. I say that as someone who killed her with it.

@@kornik_xd yeah i was trying it with a dual pole blade dex build but i couldn’t beat it after 50 tries, and i swap to rivers of blood and it took 3 tries lol. The best part is I don’t even think I played better with the river of blood, it’s just so insanely broken.

DS3 was similar in the fact that the hardest bosses were optional. Those bosses being Midir and The Nameless King.
Okay but sister friede was the most enjoyable thing to make your friends go through as well, I'd rather have them experience the shock of dying to 3rd phase friede after assuming 2 phase is a win than have them doing midir for 2 hours

lol i had to learn how to dodge the waterfowl dance and how to parry her charges to beat her, then my jaw dropped to the floor when i saw rat spamming RoB to stunlock her and do half of her hp per hit

I had to hit her 10 times to proc a bleed that didn't even do as much as a single one of his L2 combo
Bleed isn't inherently op, rivers of blood are tho

When he only rolled back instead of into her it killed me inside as a Darksouls player, GG Rat gap.
It was funny though because there was an eventual come to jesus moment where he started asking "maybe im the bad guy" and actually started rolling right. He killed her like 30 attempts later.

this boss t1 is like kayle lvl 11, then t2 is kayle lvl 16 with full lethal tempo stack
I got absolutely fucked by Malenia on strength/poise big shield knight build. Relied on blocking to carry me through the game for the most part. She heals anyway when you block her. So I had to learn to dodge roll her attacks and I found out that that small dash + triple swing cannot be completely dodged if you roll away with a medium roll. You need to light roll away, or medium roll forward to the right. So I respecced to a dex build, unequipped all my armour, equipped a big ass katana (no corpse piler, I knew it was op, didn't wanna abuse it) and all the damage increasing talismans I could find and found out the fight was so much easier this way. Still took me 50 tries total, or probably more. I've gone through the struggles of learning this fight, and I think I know it better now than any other boss in the game. So it pains me to see Rat kill her without even learning how to dodge the waterfowl dance lmao.

It's just a special version of the AoW Double Slash, it has the same attacks but higher range
Yea she looks so squishy with that weapon, that extra range is so good at safely staggering too
My buddy beat her with this plus mimic tear while I was raw dogging it with the falling star jaw bone. Needless to say he beat her first

But destiny is actively challenging himself people comparing what hes doing to this run are cap, dude just stun locked her out of every major move and chunking half her hp in one move, people who whine about the game being hard just dont understand that difficulty is totally optional in these games theres always gonna be some broken bullshit and u can overlevel to shit

@@andreiradu7851 People keep saying he's over leveled. Normal level for this boss is level 120-135 earl looks below this to me. His HP bar and his mind looks fairly small for someone at end game content - he doesn't look over level 135 to me.
Yeah rivers of blood is broken if you just spam the L2 to be honest it's weird watching him kill malenia when he clearly has no idea where her actual openings are but regardless I consider it impressive as hell that someone who never played a souls game managed to solo her. He could have made it even easier with like another 15 points in vit and heav armour.

Rivers didn't make it that much easier, bleed is the strong bit, plain katanas are also pretty strong/anything with bleed.
at least with a katana u have to dodge some shit or get close and hit them u have to learn the attack patterns
not just spam 2 buttons from range and get free stagger and big damage and a bleed proc

But she is much easier with rivers of blood.
I've done SL 1 playthroughs of darksouls 1 and MALENIA is so difficult that I can't even be bothered to continue attempting to beat her, I open the game have a couple of attempts then give up. Tempted to respect into a rivers of blood build but even then she will still be hard just not borerline impossible.
The only thing that can make elden ring easier then other souls games is if you include spirit ashes - which I don't because by that same logic summoning a player could make any boss difficult.
The end game ER bosses are way harder then any other souls game but some of the OP weapon arts bridge this gap somewhat

@@bidoofftw you can dodge it tho but it fairly complex, you run from the first few sword hits and then for the last one you run towards her and time the roll
@@bidoofftw ayo i know this is a month late, but if you ever go through the game again, you can either use barricade on shield so the stamina doesn't deplete when she hits you a million times, roll away after the last attacks because the wind attacks will hit you regardless, she will do a slight pause before they hit ( she heals but its managable ) or just spam bloodhound step and pray to god if you have no strategy.
you can also spam her with magic, frozen blade adula is insanely good which you get from ranni's questline at the end ( from the dragon i think? )
generally frost is the second best status effect against her if you find bleed too cheesy.
also summoning black knife tiche basically melts her healthbar and takes aggro away, reducing the chance for "waterfowl dancing" you even further
or just learn to dodge it, it's pretty fucked up but you can actually learn it which i wouldn't recommend since it's a bullshit attack, and still will hit you 5% of the time since the last bit is rng of doom.
good luck never hearing her name again when you fight her.

@@ElZedLoL If you pay attention you would see that stream timer keeps going up and there are cuts. As people sub he increased the timer. So the actual amount of time for him to beat the boss was almost 6 hours.
