A24 should be ashamed of themselves. Best movie of the year and they made sure that only about 37 people saw it

I live in Kansas City and it was in our theaters over the summer and this past month (they even gave out free tickets to AAA24 members). KC is not a huge market so that means it was in at least 30+ cities… it’s also on VOD. I don’t really get why A24 is being blamed for the lack of Oscar nominations (even though it got 3) and not the Academy’s historic apathy towards Black stories/actors. Maybe I’m missing something?
