I just removed the window regulator because the regulator has been broken for months and am now driving with no window regulator, now suddenly my car door indicator is showing door open 24/7. I had to turn off the interior dome light so my battery doesn’t die. I’m hoping that the new window regulator will solve this.. I’ll check back after I install the new window regulator and let you know if the door open indicator is on or off… hopefully it’s only showing door open because the window regulator motor plug isn’t plugged into anything right now. Update: installed the new window regulator and all is good! No more door open indicator, it must be included in the plug in the window regulator.
Is it the same for a chevy sonic 2012? My car is in the shop and I'm borrowing. My mom's twenty twelve chevy sonic and this just started happening today, Thankfully, the ding sound only activates when the vehicle is not moving and it only makes the interior lights. Stay on a little longer than they normally would. So it's not going to kill the battery. But it's sucks that this happened when I am borrowing it even though it doesn't seem to be causing any issues.

Hi sir, i hope you’re well. I have the opposite problem. Dash does not detect that driver door is open. I’ve searched everywhere and I couldnt find a video talking about door open but doesnt send signal to the dash. It’s very frustrating. Pls help. CHEVY CRUZE LT 2017 1.8L Automatic Push Start.
I’m having this issue with my rear passenger door and it’s really annoying. Only happens when I put the car in drive and only sometimes when the car is in park. What part do I need?

I've got the exact same problem. I took my regulator out and now have the door saying its still open. Did the new regulator fix the problem?

How do you know which door cause the problem?
It should show wich door it is on the cluster. Mine does anyway
Mine does that but if I roll the window down it make it go away 🤷♂️
