So many great CCR songs..."Long As I Can See The Light"
Creedence Clearwater Revival also recorded outstanding covers of "I Put a Spell on You" and "I Heard It Through The Grapevine" and "The Midnight Special" among others. The extended version of "Suzie Q" rocks for almost nine minutes. The pop radio version cut out the trippy middle section. Less inhibited rock stations would play the extended version mostly at night back in the seventies and eighties. Dale Hawkins original version of "Suzie Q", from 1957, also features great guitar work, and is performed uptempo, but with less bass amplification and a cowbell of some sort keeping time over the verses. It's also only two minutes twenty seconds long.
First Stones, now CCR…you’re killing it,wow keep it going!
🤘🏿🤘🏿
This is a great song of CCR. I remember we had that single. Awesome music, goosebumps all over. 🎶🎶🎶🎸🎸🎸👍
Badass on every level also the long version is 🔥
Thank you for playing this one. Love CCR.. this is the most under appreciated song of their’s!
If you can get a hold of the extended jam version..."staylist!"
Love CCR!!! 60’s and beyond!!
Anything CCR is 🔥🔥🔥! I recommend their covers of I Put a Spell on You and Heard it Through the Grapevine. Thanks for making me smile with your reactions! ☮️❤️😎
🤘🏿🤘🏿
Biz, you got played. That was the short version. Fogarty was just getting into the bad ass solo.
True,must play the long version
That's true. Almost like "Keep On Chooglin ".
Been waiting for you to do this one, great job Biz. This one will stay in your head
Great reaction to a great song. That 'train' sound was backing vocals.
Memories, Thank You
HS. In Arizona we had boon dockers.....
We would find a location way out in desert, make a fire, booze, weed, ...no city lights, cops. Boom boxes, and blast CCR
LED ZEPPELIN, STONES, all of The Greats...Didn't have cell phones, word of mouth, sometimes up on the mountains....
My 2 Favorite Songs By Them,, This One & "Run Through The Jungle"..A MUST HEAR Classic.
solo fade out (normally it's longer) - My top fav. by CCR was never a hit, but it's one of their finest IMHO: "The Penthouse Pauper". Extended soloing and that voice in there!
What a classic tune!!!!!!!
"Penthouse Pauper", "Cross-Tie Walker", and "Tombstone Shadow" are some good "deep cuts" from CCR. 👍😎
Also deep, "Wrote a Song for Everyone" and "Don't Look Now (It Ain't You or Me)"
The 45 version of this song was so long it was split up on Side A and Side B, you had to stop in the middle of the song and flip the 45! For more songs like this check out Keep on Chooglin and Penthouse Pauper from the Born on the Bayou album.
It was sad when Creedence let go the R&B vibe.
Next ones to hit are Green River, Lookin' Out My Back Door and Run Through the Jungle. All great!
I've always loved this tune. But ever since I saw the movie Apocalypse Now, the scene where the Playboy bunnies are dancing to it, always pops up in my head. I'm not complaining, it's a pleasant thought 😆
I don't think CCR has a bad song.
Fantastic cover track
Biz keep bringing the heat!
My favorite CCR song ✌️they are from my neck of the woods Northern California 😎
It's hard to believe they came from out their. Their epic music sure has the sound of bayous down south lol.
@@spikebeans9563 what about the Doobie brothers? Their from San Jose CA ✌️ I always thought they sounded like southern rock 😎
@@itchyandred4131 yes they do too. Never thought about them. CCR just has a swampy sound to it lol.
Those soulful vocals are from the CCR lead singer John Fogerty, still on the road today playing the great Creedence songs. I am hoping you will play a great song called "Lodi", not a big hit, but a great song nonetheless. The singer finds himself broke and winds up in a town where he doesn't want to be and he sings "Oh lord, I'm stuck in Lodi again." Could Creedence be the greatest rock and roll group to ever come out of the US? Some may say it's the Beach Boys or the Byrds, or even the Four Seasons. What do others think?
Oh yes you are going to Love this one. Enjoy this gem. Thanks.
Your the man, love your picks
Thank you
Born on the Bayou!
LOTS more good CCR
It's amazing how this California band sounded to SWAMPY!
CCR doesn't miss. Hit Born On The Bayou, Midnight Special, Ramble Tamble...😎😎
Its impossible to not imagine the cowgirls on stage when hearing this song now... #apocalypsenow
C.C.R. was such a great band. Check out their song Sweet Hitchhiker. You will love it Biz.
CCR is definitely a band you can do a Deep Dive on. Easily have 20 GREAT songs.
NEAJ! SWAMP ROCK!
The, fire starts.....at the 2cond part......
I put a spell on you,by ccr,is super great.
Hey Biz checkout CCRs song Ramble Tamble.
tight ty ty ty
Good job! GOD BLESS YOU!
The long version is even cooler. Next Creedence to react to? Try "Penthouse Pauper".
Long version is the only version... the 60s and 70s man...I'm telling you.
Thanks
ty ty ty ty tyty
You are welcome
My favorite by CCR.
This swamp music Biz 😂. Get into them it’s worth the dive
Pretty sure the "train" sound you hear is voices.
I knew this was the short version just by the time of your video. Too bad!
I think you’ll love Green River too.
Not a train.(backup singers!)
You can play this right along with Skynyrd, Allman Bro's, Molly Hatchet, JJ Grey, Blackfoot etc. Man that band is so good you'd think they was from Jacksonville wouldn't ya! 😁So Let's see who can figure where that last line is inspired from.
Dale Hawkins tune. Johnny Winter does a great cover of it too!
CCR- Green River, Born on the Bayou, Run Through the Jungle.
You should also listen to Born On The Bayou! I'm sure you'll enjoy it
Next CCR tune is "Midnight Special".
Ok. Now you have to do "Green River". It is an Americana icon. Swamp rock from a group from San Francisco continues to mystify me. His name is John Fogerty. He IS CCR.
that shit is swampy Biz!
Facts
CCR.... Tombstone Shadow
The longer version of that solo plays alot longer.
Run Through The Jungle
Does not get much better than this.
John fogerty leads this band with awesome vocals
Bro , that's what used to be called "groovy" .
Swamp style .
have you reviewed I Put A Spell On You? I Heard It Through The Grapevine? Born On The Bayou? Ramblin Tamblin?
I have
BAAAMM!

The singer is JOHN FOGARTY
Sincerely, Teh McFogarty
Its John FOGERTY...
@@mackssboo My bad, seriously. No relation, but got me interested.
Please check out j dials band, Stoop down,, And detroit breakdown please❤
Sweet hitch hiker please
Too bad Fogerty got screwed on that contract thing. He was CCR.
It just recently got resolved ✌️
John Fogerty is his name. The only musician to be sued for sounding to much like himself! You may want to check out his solo work too! I suggest Old Man Down The Road. Do the video! Sounds like Creedence
React to The Doors- L.A. Woman
☮️💜🎶
You need to listen to the album version...longer & better.

Definently long as I can see the light....jon Fogerty is king.
John Fogarty = HOF.
NOT A TRAIN!!! VOCAL HARMOMICS!! LISTEN!!
You think this soulful? It is. Listen to I put a Spell on You. You better have the fire extinguisher nearby...♨️♨️♨️
The crap that's played on the radio today, those bands should have learned a lesson that there's no greater music then Rock throughout the 60s, 70s, 80, even into early 90s, after 1995, down hill from there... Hey don't take my word for it, Gene Simmons said ROCK IS DEAD... So hold on to those great bands from the pass.. Because that's it...
CCR gets down inna groove
John Fogerty on vocals and lead guitar as well as the main song writer.
Definently long as I can see the light....jon Fogerty is king.
