OMG I love Face to Face. I actually still own the 7 single of "Here we are" with the cover that appears at 27 seconds into this video. Bought it for R2.99 at Musica. That was many years ago.. now I am in my 40's and living in Canada.. but I still have a soft spot for our own SA "Duran Duran" ( another band I loved lol). Wish F2F had songs on iTunes. I would so buy it!!
I loved face-to-face, I was in my middle to late teens and I still remember them like it was yesterday including the little cheeky kiss I got from Keith McFarlane one day… I don’t think I washed my lips for about three days after that. I never got another one tho 🤪
i did some dodgy drum programming for these guys in the uk in a studio, they were a very talented group of guys..i would love to get in contact sometime...
What was the purpose of this documentary? It's so odd and cathartic. Was enjoyable to watch as a piece of apartheid-era ephemera, but seriously, what was deal here? Would love the backstory. Who came up with the idea and the bizarre angle of music's profound loss via this band stopping due to funds and market?!
Been looking for thie piece since the mid 80s. You are a star. This really takes me back when music was made abd played, just for the love of it!!!!
Really enjoyed there music, they were my favourite SA band in the 80's

Ditto! Who would have thought that a 13 year old charou living Durbs in the 80's would have loved this band?! Such is the power and reach of music...
Great SA band and good group of guys! Enjoyed seeing them live at Ellis Park. Thanks Dave S for taking me with you to their concerts, it was fun.
Such good memories,
My best south African of all time
