Hi Keith, I did it. Before seeing this video. I thought to rebuilt it from scratch and got stuck while creating interfaces on WLC for Vlan20 and vlan10. Now I watched it.i am going to build it from scratch now. Thank you.
Man Keith this came right on time. Ive been learning about dynamic interfaces, SSID's and WLC's. I just did a video on my channel for them and im going to download this lab to practice.
1) I did troubleshoot and fix the lab, it was awesome thank you, and I will go watch the walk- through for any additional insights. 2) Thank you so much for sharing what the issue is with tagging on the trunk to the WLC. I have worked on a few labs where the management interface is set to vlan id 1 connected to a switch port set to trunk with vlan100 set to Native, and that works, until I decide the management interface should be set to the management vlan, at which point I lose connectivity to the wlc from the management pc. I was scratching my head as to why, if it was a PT thing or WLC thing that I didn't fully understand. 3) You clearly put a lot of man-hours and creativity into finding a way to make this demonstration possible, thank you :)
@@mariusrostand8329 Keith does provide a walk-through of the solution here ruclips.net/video/YzAxl1DHciQ/видео.html or, if you would like to reach out to me on the discord server I may be able to try answer any specific questions discord.gg/6Pgrqsx
Keith your videos are the best, I have not tried the lab yet but I did notice (or were you leaving a clue?) that in the virtual wlc you did not appear to link the ssid/guest network to the vlan (20?) which you had set up previously. Again this is great info and your presentation style is amazing, keep up the great work.
Thank for this. I was having a lot of issues setting this up. The WLC would stop pinging when rebooting after the initial configuration and couldn't figure out why (not sure if this is the issue you are referring to). This video helped me to understand a lot more than reading this subject. I was able to solve the issues yay!. Although, the corp cellphone took me a minute to figure it out hehe
I almost cried when I couldn't get the employee phone connected to the corp wifi, I kept thinking it was something to do with the VLANs, but I figured it out, just! I need to pass my CCNA soon :'(
I'm done, problem about port shutdown, power pluging, SSID inactive, incorrect, problem on AAA server such as username, port... . thanks you for very much.
Hi Keith, I really appreciate your generosity for sharing all this valuable knowledge. I am working with a large enterprise in San Diego as a Network Engineer and I have access to the Cisco account from where I can download a legal image for vWLAN but I am not sure which version should I go for to replicate 8510 Controller being used in our organization. Please share the download link and walk us through the installation process on VMware Workstation by creating a video on this topic as soon as possible. Thanks!
So the CorpWifi uses WPA2+802.1x. However in Packet Tracer, when selecting 802.1x on the wireless employee device config, it requires you to fill in the WEP key field too for some reason... Was that your experience too? I'm wondering if it's a bug edit: Oh oopsI misunderstood how it works. Client uses the WPA2 account setting, not the 802.1x account setting.
OMG I was about to say can we do real equipment instead of packet tracer....cause for getting a job in real life I can't just say, Oh I never touch a router in my life but I done it on packet tracer or GNS3, I'll be call a paper CCNA and then laugh out of the room. But luckily your awesome and used real equipment... could please do more physical lab training instead of all this emulation simulation stuff....Thank you for the AMAZING content you always put out
Hy man, i try but it is very hard for me... I configure interfaces to be trunk, but that wasn't the entire problem, i try other strategies but i can t figure it aut ... Plese help me with some tips... 😔 It's very frustrating
Hi Keith, I love your videos and presentation, always with smile. I was able to figure out everything except port but I found bandwidth of wireless end devices 300mbps and when I add a new it show 11mpbs only.
This is awesome. Thanks for all of your efforts. Can you please tell me , how did you add all the notes and image on your packet tracer file. Thanks a lot
Thank you for the question Avijit Deb Nath. I changed the background picture in PT to use an image that I made that included the graphic of my logo, and the instructions.
Got both smartphones working but not RADIUS. PT kept asking for a WEP key which I didn't set up, so it was strange it kept asking for that. Great lab, though. Stumped me. Be great to see what the RADIUS setup is supposed to look like.
Thank you Hank Foss for working on that lab! Sometimes PT acts up. In the troubleshooting labs, sometimes I have the incorrect port (between server and RADIUS client). Occasionally I will completely remove the RADIUS pieces, then put them back (to verify them) especially in PT. Way to go on the lab. I think there is a video walk through for this lab in the PT playlist.
@@KeithBarker I am also struggling to understand connecting a smart device to CorpWiFi using 802.1x because of the WEP key. Packet Tracer demands the key be in HEX, but I configured the key with Cisco!23
Thank you for sharing, the interesting content, that was the subject of my exam last week! Question: why sw1 and sw2 in your topology? as it doubles the configuration of valns and trunks. just MLS1 is sufficient.
Those switches simulate access layer switches connected with trunk links to the multilayer switch MLS1 which is basically located in a control room, far away from access layer switches and APs in real life topology.
@@KeithBarker At school, we have physically implemented a centralized architecture with 1 router, 1 switch, 1 controller and 1 Ap and a radius server. we can replace the router with a firewall
Thank you for the question marius rostand. Save your config in packet tracer, at the point you are stuck, DM me on my Discord server and attach the file, and I will take a look.
Fix all, but not dhcp. I'm super sad. I excluded dhcp on wlc, not necessary at all. First check was the helper address, but it was right. To me everything was right. Let's see how stupid am i. By the end of January my ccna exams waits for me!
Ahahahaha, just watched the solution video and dunno how, but packet tracer is the guilty! I fixed the lab but dunno how dhcp is broken. There was no dhcp issue to configure! What a buggy application jesus!
