The $66,250 of two years ago buys about 20% less today, so Bitcoin at $70,230 today is worth 80% of a bitcoin two years ago. It would have to get to $50,000 to be equivalent. Bitcoin may or may not be inflation immune, but the dollar that it gets quoted in is not immune to inflation. Still a bargain below $45k, Get it while it's hot. If you missed the 2017, 2021 bull run.

i don't think it is. Once bitcoin crosses it's all time high, it becomes the new bottom. Anything under 69k is a good buy. It's still advisable to work with a fiduciary advisor instead of relying solely on speculations

The rising interest rate can surely control inflation, but won't prevent erosion of the eroding purchasing power of the US dollar. I have learnt my lesson this time. The banks can't be making money off my money, while inflation eats into it. Here's how it works: The bank gives out your money as loan, and charge interest obviously higher than inflation rate, and then give you, the depositor, interest lower than inflation rate. That means net loss for you. That is why I prefer to invest, and on average, my advisor makes returns that always beats inflation!

thing is here, the difficulty continues to increase as the mining continues, all part of the design. so over time more processing power is needed and more electricity and the mining process will slowly grind to a halt. so i cannot see this being a long term thing, something else must end up being used to send money, something with is quicker and cheaper to process. maybe a store of value not sure what else it will do well, it reminds me of my first mobile phone, it works but dont use it

Jack is such an inspring guy. I wish it all happened when I had his age as I always stood for the dilemmas in the world. About the halving that is coming up. Fred Krueger word it nicely and that is that the halving in itself will not do much as it is only 450btc less mined per day. The btc etf which asks a 6000btc's per day will make the difference if this continues.
No real explanation of why miners will stay plugged in and support the network with less mining rewards. The kid said "transaction fees." However, ETFs have a 0.25% fee so I guess miners can't ask for more than that. Is that enough to sustain them? How stable is the network if many close shop and the whole thing is run a few monster companies?

Not if the value of bitcoin remains increasing, but if for example the ETF managers crash bitcoin while profiting from Bitcoin futures ETFs, then the effect is similar to a Ponzi scheme unless the value of bitcoin regains after a crash.
