    I'm confused about what the temperature is in the studio - we see a T-Shirt, a long-sleeve, and a long sleeve with a puffy vest. Is it 75 degrees or 65?

    Guys, kudos on these short, topic specific postings. The long ones were nice but honestly, there are not too many normal working people who are passionate about getting faster, that can sit for almost two hours and listen to the podcast. Keep the short ones going. Best breakfast companion 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

    I definitely found the importance of rest to be key to my productivity. Those hard efforts can never be sustained if I don’t get ample rest time.

    I needed this podcast, guys. Thanks for reinforcing that recovery is just as much (if not more) a part of my training as the hardest rides.

      If you didnt get sick, then I'd imagine you weren't working at an intensity REQUIRING rest.

    You need energy to build hence eat when recovering. Come out fresh and rested ready to go go go.
    Nobody comes out of a fast going go go go. They say eat.

  • @darinsteele7091

    I've done fasted rides before and it causes me to be starving after the workout and then I over-eat. If you're going to fast then just don't workout, don't mix the two because I think it's useless.

      Fasted rides have to be strict zone 1-2 (6-7 zone scale), no going into zone 3 or higher on hills and no longer than a couple of hours unless your body is used to it.

    I don't fully understand keeping intensity high during a taper, I mean it's intensity that is the most tiring and strenuous! If keeping fitness and being fresh is the goal then surely longer zone 2 rides would be more beneficial?

    • @TrainerRoad
      @TrainerRoad  3 года назад +2

      Those efforts aren't meant to be 'strenuous'. You're not building those high-end systems during that phase, just keeping them sharp. :)

      I was starting to feel like I was copping out on shorter rides with maintained intensities.

    @TraineRoad how rest week should be planned ? every 3 months , after 2 weeoks of power endurance ?

    • @TrainerRoad
      @TrainerRoad  3 года назад

      This is where Plan Builder comes in handy! Rest weeks depend a lot upon your goals and target events, so a structured plan helps take out the guessing! ;)
