wow kinda disappointing that Tecnos Japan developed this Popeye game but they couldn't figure out how to use the spinach power up or were probably not allowed to by the ip owners so we get a constant rinse repeat trope instead of actually being "powered up" and fight the opponents which was pretty much depicted in the classic cartoons.
Kinda sad because this was the last game system generation hardware where a Popeye game or others could be made in pure 2d sprite art graphics before 3DO and Atari rushed their 3d hardware pretty much triggering a next generation hardware war where too much coverage was given to 3d graphics games.
