We can no longer imagine Thursday without chic throws of magnets into the water! A magical atmosphere of surprises on the opposite side of the rope! The positivity and cheerfulness of the guys is just something! OH MY GOD! This can be watched endlessly! Trolleys from an underwater supermarket!

I love how excited you get by the things you find. Shopping carts and keys get the same level of excitement as an archeologist finding a bone.
So people take the shopping carts home, but are too lazy to bring them back, so they ditch it in the water. What a decent human you must be to do such a thing
Actually we have someone who collects them where we live and returns them to the store.

i pulled 4 guns, 15 shopping carts, i lost count of the bikes, 2 trips to the metal recycler netted 1600 lbs of metal for the summer, it was my first season magnet fishing, salt lake city, utah
Hi, Leigh, Nikki, Remon and Wim. Another great, but very tiring, canal clean-up. A greater variety of trash this time.. bikes, shopping trolleys, a radio etc and the biggest surprise was the organ. Excellent camera work as usual, Nikki.

@Rita Donovan it's going to take a lot to get people to stop they don't ever think of the environment but the mag fisherman are doing a service that they do not charge for and as you have seen there is alot removed from the channels and they help police and boaters who depend on the channels and once in a while they are rewarded with a great find but not always Rita thank you for your comment well have to talk sometime I would enjoy it.
Those lobsters may be crayfish/crawdads/YABBYS(for Australians). I always enjoy your enthusiasm and positive attitude.
Shopping trolleys, bikes, and that organ was a great find, cool episode
We do know that the favorite pastime over there is throwing bikes in the canals. It's just really too crazy that so many people lose their bikes by idiots having nothing better to do then steal other people's bikes and toss them in the water for fun. As always stay safe and healthy.

I just got rid of an organ like that after cleaning out my parents house. I had the junk haulers take it away! I could not imagine throwing that heavy thing in a waterway! That is crazy!!

The multiple foot pedals and double keyboard identifies that instrument as an organ, rather than a piano. We had something similar in our living room when I was a kid. 😜😁

the search magnets are strong, but the speaker magnets are not, you can only fish for coins with them

You were correct when you called it an organ. The multiple foot pedals are the difference. With all the switches and dials next to the keyboard, it was (once) definitely an electric organ. If there were any churches nearby, I'd ask how long ago they had it stolen from them.

If you use a polarising filter on the camera, you can see through the water surface. (if i'm correct) Would work great with this :)

Every night a bunch of kids pitch 5 shopping trolleys and 10 bikes into the canal.
Every day Leigh and friends pull 8 bikes and 3 shopping trolleys out of the canal, plus some knives and baby lobsters. It is a [bi]cycle of life.
