Part of what made Overwatch so toxic was the competitive players who had no appreciation for hard work. They care more about winning and don’t recognize personal growth.
As a guy with nearly 40 hours+ on Loki you better bait out his cool downs if you plan on diving him. If you don't good luck finding out which one is the real one. You have to dive him 2-3 times. Now if your team has forced his cool downs and he's moving around then he's a free kill. That Loki will then ask where his team is at.
Yeah dude i always bait loki green thing then i just wait for him to reload since only the real one reload and then i dive him works like 90% of the time
I find it so weird that they felt the need to nerf spiderman, the hardest to play character, but you have wanda, who can literally stand still, press and hold the fire button while barely looking in the direction of someone and still deal a lot of damage, along with having I think 2 get out of jail free cards. I feel wanda should have to aim, have her attack be the beam, but a straight line that goes to your crosshair, because it feels so dumb dying to someone who isn't even trying, just holding a button. ESPECIALLY when you accidentally walk in front and it locks onto you and you were already low so it just insta locks and kills you.
My biggest learning curve was readjusting my ego. When the game first came out and I was limit testing Spidey it gave me some bad habits like over extending without the proper resources. As soon as I gained the discipline to stage my engagements properly I started to pop off. I think there will forever be a place for Spidey in the meta as the best infiltrator ever. Sure, Black Panther does more damage, but he doesn't have the staging potential of Spidey
19:56 This holds true for every dive character. Venom, Psylocke, Iron Fist, Spider-Man, Wolverine... As a healer you'll constantly get flamed by these for not healing them when they attack. Just know that IT'S NOT YOUR JOB! If they return to the backline and find you, yes then you heal. But as long as they are hunting picks, they are on their own and should know it.
Exactly I don’t expect heals unless I’m frontline like a tank or if I come to you cause I couldn’t get to a med kit And to the Luna snow mains who give us their snowflake before we go off, y’all are the real MVPs
To be fair Venom SHOULD come back for heals, and Wolverine is supposed to push their tank into your team so he should be in heal range.The rest should learn where the packs are.As Luna these chars and flyers are the ones I give my mark.With Mantis its much easier to heal Spiderman though.
For my Controller Spidey gamers, To maybe mimic the scroll wheel to jump suggestion. Maybe bind Jump to L3? Its a thing I swapped long ago during early fortnite, and yes it take a bit to get used to. But omg, the ability to jump while not moving the thumb off the right stick helps so much with Spiderman. So you don't have to awkward move the thumb between Jump and the right stick

Always land a basic web tracker-pull-upper punch combo before using Spiderman's ultimate. To confirm a kill. His ultimate is not the hardest to escape. Which means dive in when you have your ult charged at 95%. The opening combo will charge it fully.

the b-hop is more effective when you web shoot right before you land and jumping as soon as you touch the ground so you don’t accidentally double jump it gives a lot more momentum and lets you travel pretty far so long as you don’t hit a wall
A perfect buff for Spider-Man would be minimal damage increase, that actually allow for self healers to be killed by the bread and butter combo. Or at least something that actually gives him the ability to effectively dive, “knock out”, and get out

What I found to be the most hardest about him was definitely his up-close move-set. I felt completely overwhelmed by all these people gunning me down before I could get to them, and when I did it was nearly impossible to kill them. But I changed from moon knight to Iron Fist a few weeks after the game started and fell in love with the up-close move-sets, and can’t wait to retry Spiderman and try Black Panther. As someone who recently picked up Spider-Man this video was amazingly helpful! I’ve done really well with him so far but I noticed I’m too reliant on his upper cut and symbiote bond that I’m completely ignoring crucial parts of his combos like his double axe slam and basic punches!
Been finding success starting to play spider man in plat, after ranking up with other dps champs (57.7% WR dps) and tbh this vid 25 minutes in is making me want to maybe one trick him, sure i can go 20/5 but i NEED to be dropping 30 terrorizing their team, your gameplay is so clean, i NEED to get this good on him. I feel like im barely scratching the surface and making due, when i can delve into a well of knowledge.
Great video! Im currently maining only spiderman, i play in P5 and definitely found it difficult to not use auto swing. I’ve been doing good with him on the default settings, but after watching this im definitely going to have to get on practice and perfect these settings. You genuinely hit all the key points of things I do to make spidey work and pointed out everything I dont do. I think implementing your tips will take my spiderman to the next level. 10/10 vid!!

Just wanted to add a dmg tip: if you find yourself getting the overhead punch with the uppercut combo, try to get a web cluster on them in the middle of the overhead and uppercut punch it’ll help you delete tanks when they are being focused
A good Spiderman is the ultimate headache.Dont also forget he wrecks the two flying heroes that are a menace right now.Dont think though I can play him.I learned Namor just to counter good Spidermans.And a bit for Panthers.
when i first played marvel rivals i thought id main spidey since he’s my favorite hero but man was he difficult. i ended up picking up psylocke for the time being and when i got lord for her i decided to try spidey again, long story short im a couple hundred off of lord and he’s my top played hero now
I felt like the first ten or so hours of Spider-Man were terrible for me as I just went into ranked games, no combo or anything at all, and just died a lot.
The hardest Rivals hero, yet doesnt keep in mind that every strategist he murders in cold blood is way harder to use when Spidey's around. Jokes aside, it was cool to see the journey.
try b-hopping with right-click and then e into a cluster of enemies, then uppercut, then ult. Pretty much garuntees a kill on all the enemies who got hit by the uppercut

Impressive. I use spidey often in gold 2 and hes very situational imo. It also depends on if the team clumps together or spreads out. Right now gm players are in gold, so a lot of times its damn near impossible to get a pick because the healing awareness after they know your diving.

Doom match is great for practice rn. Swing on the buildings and memorize the couple health packs & outside portals. Teaches you a lot about targeting

13:00 you don't need to use the webswing. Just bind mouse scroll as the alternative button for jump, and then simply jump > scroll > left click.

Impressive. I use spidey often in gold 2 and hes very situational imo. It also depends on if the team clumps together or spreads out. Right now gm players are in gold, so a lot of times its damn near impossible to get a pick because the healing awareness after they know your diving.
