I have the same bike. Xpro sent me an adjustable carb free and a upgraded rear shock about a 1/2” taller than the factory one and much stiffer. It’s been a good starter bike. Upgraded the stock grips and the chain guides etc. the factory stuff fell apart
Yeah the chain guard I just ripped off.. I adjusted the rear shock as I'm not the normal rider my son is alot lighter but says it rides better now... as for the carb yeah regardless of how I get it lol the factory carb just needs to be replaced lol... yeah made a few upgrades replaced a few brake levers but she still takes a beating... love this little bike.

The hose is the crankcase vent, it burns any oil that is evaporated from the crankcase back through the engine. To pass CA emissions. You can unhook it from the carb and just run it down in between the engine case and swingarm pointed at the ground.
I'm surprised you said it ran rich from factory, normally bikes are jetted really lean from factory to pass emissions.
A pipe and high rev cdi will give it a good bit more pep if you want more power.
Oh wow thanks for the awsome info yeah it was dumping out black smoke for a while.. then I changed the carb because the factory carb won't let u adjust anything. And I couldn't even get to the jets because it was sealed up with rivets.

Totally agree lol. Hi , thx for the videos by the way , and i'm wondering if you had to re-jet the vm 26mm carb as i bought same bike for my grandson? So i bought the same carb also its way to rich ?
Nah never changed the jetting... although it wouldn't hurt.. maybe a smaller jet for colder weather. But this thing has been screamin since we got it... im noticing the seller for that carb changed so any 26 to 28 mm carb works great with these bikes just not the factory one.

Remeber tighten all nuts amd bolts and screws. Especially rear shock.. that was the first to get lose.
Online says it’s a 4 speed manual, your model doesn’t have a clutch lever. Or did you opt to get one with the the slipper clutch?
Yes I specifically chose to get one without a clutch lever because my son hasn't mastered that yet
Hi, thank you for this very informative video. My son is 9.5yo (4 ft 10), has some small experience riding automatic dirt bike. I want one with the manual clutch so he can learn the skill. Do you think the 27.9in seat height of this model is fine for his height or you would go for the Titan which has a 29.7in seat height? How about the Tao Tao Db17 (manual), has it got a 30.7in seat height (some website state much higher) and would it not be too big?...If you have a minute to reply it would be awesome...Thank you

Just posted the size comparison video henri hope this helps... my son is the same size as ur son lol I would go with the bigger taotao db17.. this xpro may be too small.. but the Tao Tao 125cc he will grow into very nicley

Does this bike sort of lunge/kick when going from neutral to 1st? Mine (I have 3 of them) all have a bit of kick. Have to be careful to hold front brake. Not sure if they are idled too high or if this is the norm for semi-auto.

Also, you can adjust the idle on the cable near the throttle. I sometimes start off in 2nd gear ..not sure if that's a good idea or not, but it seems to be better that way. And after two years this thing is still kickin
Have you rode it ? Is it actually peppy for an adult I'm seeing mixed reviews. I mean a 125 is 125 so it's just smaller but same power as the adult correct ?
Yes it's not as fast as my 125 2 stroke but it can giddy up has alot of torque took a bit for my son to get used to but yeah I ride it alot too lol it has 4 speeds and the top speed I got it to was 45with the new carb. And it's about as loud as a yz 450 4 stroke. I bet if it has 2 more gears it would go faster... but I damn near pop a wheelie every time on 1st gear launch.
I'll post a video of me riding it this weekend it's getting new tires so I'll post a video keep an eye out for it.

Hello, do you think this will be a good bike for a beginner? I am 17 and my height is about 5'6". But the issue is that I don't really know much about bikes. I will learn through RUclips, I'm looking for a bike in this budget (700-800) yet easy to use and learn on, I want a bike that I can fix myself whenever it breaks down and you think if I buy this bike it would be a good purchase? and the reason for me to get a dirt bike is that I want something that I ride car ride point A to point B (approx 15 minutes of driving whenever I will use it). This bike would be small on tou.you.. I would get a size bigger.. take a look at the taotao db17

I see the carb you linked is a 30mm. The Xpro storm comes with a 26mm. Did you use the intake pipe that came with the carb?
No I just swapped the carb and bolted it to the factory manifold. The gaskets will seal up nice. But I fitted the new manifold and that also seems to fit nice and run the same with the new carb. So I guess I stall at ur own discretion. But I used the factory manifold from xpro
Have you checked the plugs to see if the bikes running rich/lean? Just curious if the size and extra air flow has caused any changes.
Yeah plugs are good runs normal now since I changed the carb. Before I did it ran rich. But since the change it seems good.. fores right up and I'm able to warm it up and start jammin..took it for a ride today and ran awsome. Quick throttle response and better performance

Nah she kicks on easy... 1 or 2 kicks ...2 if cold.. I recommend getting the carb in the description... make a massive difference

Yeah amazon has plenty of different pipes and silencers for it just match up the sizes and you should be able to find one cheap

The 125cc taotao db17 model is a size bigger but same motor. We have that one too I'm on a kx125cc kawasaki 2002 2stroke ..much bigger but he can keep up until I hit 2nd to 3rd and I'm gone. But it's been a few months now and it's still running awsome.

Yes I got the vm26.. fits and works perfect... I posted a new video for the 6 month ride... u can see how well it runs

That's what I said and he was too big for this bike already lol.. but yes this is the 14/12 I just bought him the 19/16 storm 150cc
@overlandadventures2294 so was that carb you bought not the same thing. Or is the one in your link a different brand than what's in it.
So I ended up upgrading the carb to a nibbi... I mention it in another video but this bike still runs and that new nibbi carb woke it up a while lot.. I recommend the nibbi.

No but it does need to be registered so keep the title and sign it as the owner of the bike take it to the DMV amd get a tag. Its pretty cheap. Amd have fun it's a fast bike ill be putting up another review in a few days keep an eye out for that

@@MousePad9 yes you need to register it. But I still ride it around the block but we try to ride out in the desert where allowed. But either way if u ride offroad or on the street u need to register it. Anything over 50cc needs to be registered but laws may differ depending g on where u live

No plate... its a sticker or tag u stick on the bike so its visible in case u get stopped off road.. but on the streets most dirtbikes are illegal for road travel unless it has turn signals and a head light and tail light... and the proper tires for road travel... u also need a motorcycle license for the road.... but if it's to Olay in the dirt... u just need tha tag is all

No its illegal, I already hot pulled over, ride on dirt areas where its not private property or where you wont bother ppl and you should be good.

Hell yes!! We are actually going to be doing our 1 year video on it... it will be a video 9f us all riding on the trail probly with my heavy ass on it or my son. All depends but yes keep an eye out for the video.
