I bought it and it was my 1st mid palette I've ever purchased from her and I love it like they don't blend away and stay put all day and I got so many compliments!!!! You can just put any color combo on your eyes and it looks gorgeous and soft at the same time but it's definitely eye catching!!
I absolutely love it! For my colouring, it is perfection! I think people often has issues when they expect her cream to powder formula to acts like "regular" mattes. They need to be packed on and not brushed/swiped on. And then the colours do come out beautiful and saty on all day. I use the Smashbox eye primer underneath all eyeshadow

I agree. I did get it and Natasha could’ve done better. As Amy said so well that what Natasha was known for is lost here. I think she’s caving to mass market appeal. This is NOT what I come to Natasha for and she especially doesn’t seem to like to deliver it in her midi format for some reason. I’m not sure why? 🧐😩🤔 As I really miss those pow 💥 creamy deliciously decadent chroma-crystals she used to make. And she really could’ve delivered some of that here along with some strong duochromes and maybe even one multichrome. It misses the fun impact I’m expecting with Natasha. 🤩 That’s what she was known for to me and that’s what I want her to stay loyal to her name for. Hummmmf. Lol!

I have a lot of Natasha Denona palettes, some $65, some $129. and both $239. I think $65 is a great price point for the usual ND amazing formulas. However, if that quality is lacking then $65 is pretty pricey. I'd honestly rather pay more for great shadows than $65 for mediocre ones. Many people I watch have said this palette is lacking as well, so I'll pass on it. Instead I ordered the new Nomad Cosmetics Paradise Islands palette - it has positive reviews, is only $44, and gives similar vibes..
I 100% prefer Menagerie Pastel Pup for a true, definitive pastel palette. It has everything I need: true matte pastels in every tone I could want, a matte black, and a matte white. Perfection. I did NOT have a good experience with the brand (customer service, specifically), but I adore that palette. If I run low, I will absolutely repurchase. I basically have all of the pastel palettes, but Pastel Pup is my absolute favourite. If you have medium or darker skin, I'd recommend something else, however. Something more pastel-brightish. Before Pastel Pup, my favourite was Shroud's Creepy Cute. That palette contains one of my absolute top fav matte formulas ever. SO GOOD. BH Lost in LA, Glamlite Ice Cream Dream, and Give Me Glow Pastel Dreams are fantastic, and the 3 Colourpop 9-pans are pretty good, and definitely closer to true pastels than pastel brights. The worst pastel palettes I've tried were Nomad's Tokyo Harajuku (the mattes are so finely milled and don't seem to have enough binders, so they don't want to build or stick to each other? but the toppers are super pretty), By Beauty Bay Pastels (8-pan matte palette), and Pony's collab palette with Morphe. The latter two are obviously much worse, but Tokyo Harajuku was a massive disappointment, to me, because I was so hyped for it. I still love everything else about it, and I've kept it, but it inevitably falls to the bottom of my collection due to lack of use. If Nomad reformulated it (like Ace Beaute), I'd buy it again in a second. 😋 I did decide to keep the ND Pastel palette, specifically for travel. If it isn't obvious, yet, I have a strong preference for all-matte palettes, because I want to use my special indie singles every time I do my makeup. However, I would never bring them on a trip. Way too risky. The ND Pastel palette is sturdy, the shadows are packed pretty well, so I think they could travel well. Plus, it has some decent shimmers, so I'd only need another one or two extra palettes for depth. 👍🏻👍🏻 I'll make it work. I would never bring Pastel Pup anywhere, because I think those mattes might just crumble at the slightest fall. They're so, so soft. I would NOT be okay with losing it, either. 😭
I thought this palette was pretty & a perfect Spring/Easter release. I just don't use pastel mattes as a rule. I prefer light shimmers paired with a similar but slightly deeper shade version in a matte when working with colors like this.

I bought this palette and I actually really like it, I am not a pastel lover, but this one works out for me. I pair it with my Huda Mercury Retrograde and other Natasha Denona eyeshadows. A lot of indie brands products are made in PRC and I do not buy them because of that.
Thanks for your review! I just found your channel because I was actually looking for a better alternative for this palette and I found your pastel series. I ended up purchasing the glamlite ice cream palette, but this one is still really pretty to me
I’m glad I passed on it. I have the Violet Voss Sugar Crystals palette (based on your recommendation). It’s still in my collection and does the job, with some fun shimmery fun shades. Love from the spooky Pine Barrens in NJ
I feel this palette is less bright but it feels more genuine pastel and less pale neon like glamlite icecream dream or some of the other pastel recommendations.
It looks very good on you. I wasn't sure where you were going with your choices, but they came out beautiful and perfect for Spring/Summer. I feel as if every company that comes out with a pastel palette gets trashed be it Urban Decay to ND. A cornflower blue or mint green matte is going to swatch different than a pale orchid or pale peach from a more nude palette. It's like comparing apples to turnips. Personally happy to see a palette with more color and tired of 50 ways to make a Nude Palette, how many do we need. As much as I love color I didn't buy her last colorful one as the colors were too dark for me and too many shades I'd never use. Whereas this one has mostly shades I could work with and few that are too in your face for pale skin. I do like the way it came out on you which will make me feel better about buying it. Thank you!
it’s cute but seeing it being used i’m starting to think people are REALLY working it to get it to look INCREDIBLE. for $65 i don’t want to work too hard to make a palette look nice! why i love my soft glam palette sm and have bought more ABH shadows since that palette was released
I've loved all the palettes that YTubers loved to trash lately. I loved ND Cyber, love this one... I think that there is a widening disconnect between YT makeup styles and what average consumers want or buy. Not everyone wants super bright colors that are act like full on pigments instead of eyeshadow, not everyone likes super glittery shimmers, not everything has to be always cranked up to 11. Subtle is beautiful too and I am kind of disappointed to see a lot of channels I enjoyed watching increasingly shitting on products that might just not be made for YTubers and collectors, but for average consumers like me... Not saying there's anything wrong with giving a product a bad review, but there is a tendency to dogpile on certain products...and to look down on anything more...geared to consumers and not reviewers.
I mean I may be a reviewer but I’m also a consumer. My reviews are based on what I love to wear. I did another look with this palette today and had trouble just getting the shimmer to apply. I don’t think that makes sense for a palette that is $65. I also saw a lot of negative reviews from my subscribers and on the Sephora app. Not from other RUclipsrs…
@@AmyLovesMakeup Amy, you have hundreds of palettes, you are not a consumer even though you use makeup. Think of it this way: an average person will judge a wine differently than a wine taster that has had hundreds of wines, including the some of finest in the world. A wine taster is not just a consumer of wine no matter how hard they try to be, their tastes are just shaped differently. If you had a bad time with the palette, you are only being honest by sharing that. That's ace, not what bothered me. But you started this video with a formed opinion that was already very negative, you said the colostory was nothing special...and now you're saying all the reviews you saw were bad...so what was the point of doing a review? You walked into this set to not like this palette and, surprise, you did not like it. That's what bothers me with a lot of channels lately. "Oh, i don't like the formula of this brand, but let me buy new realease and make another video about how i don't like the formula", "oh, I hate the colorstory of this, let me buy it and make a video about how i hate the colors". This trend of buying things you don't like just to tell viewers in how many ways you don't like it is putting me off beauty YT. Maybe this was not your intention at all and I am lumping you in smth you are not part of...you look to me like a sweet person, I am not looking to make you feel bad. I am giving my feedback as a content consumer. And, like you, I am honest, sometimes I have good things to say..and somtimes...I am a bit put off. If you don't find my comments informative or useful, please just disregard.
I just bought this palette during the sale and have worn it twice. The looks were beautiful, watercolour-like! However, I was super disappointed that the shade Bora is pretty much one of the lightest shades in the palette (and I keep thinking I can use it to get a smidge of depth)! I also got fallout with it. I'm also super disappointed in the duet shade, it's super soft, I can barely see any sparkle or duochrome and if I don't use a glitter glue under it, it just fades away within an hour or so :'( even spraying Duet didn't keep it from fading... I like some of the other mattes and was happy with the Mint Frost and Dainty shimmers, but now I'm wondering whether it was worth the money...
Thank you for being honest. I don't think it's worth the price; it's only worth getting whenever it (inevitably) goes on sale at Sephora, which I bet will be in the fall. So for anyone on the fence, you have plenty of time to think about it.
I thought about getting it with the 20% off, but I think I can dupe it with my indies (especially the Nomad Tokyo palette). If they ever have it half off then maybe.
The light white shade is supposed to a trichrome or multichrome, but the fact that you described it as a not-too-unique shifty white tells me enough about this palette lol. I was sort of excited about this because it's almost completely vegan (except for only one shade i think), and it's easily accessible in Europe unlike many indie brands with great pastel formula, but I'm probably better off with my Lethal mattes and the BH Lost in LA palette that I just purchased.
Yeah…. When I was looking at the palette trying to decide what to do for my thumbnail and saw the official product photo I had a little laugh at that shade being edited to look so shifty. It’s nothing like that at all 😂😂
I ended up getting this palette despite the overall “negative” reviews of this palette I’ve seen because, at least with the people I’ve watched, it seems like nobody actually likes pastel shadows that much to begin with?? So it was frustrating trying to figure out if the quality was bad, or if the palette and the shade selection just weren’t people’s cup of tea. I appreciated your take on the palette because you seem to like pastels and use them, so you have a good baseline for what to expect. I’m excited to try it out myself, I think it also helped that I got it with a gift card, so it’s basically like me getting to try it for free, so I’ll probably be less harsh if I end up having issues because at least it didn’t cost me anything 😅
That does sound really frustrating 😅 I hope my video was helpful because I really do love pastel eyeshadows. And like I said at the end it’s not that it’s bad it’s just that I don’t think it’s $65 good but you can definitely get some nice looks. I did another one that should be going live in a video this week 😊
Good afternoon Amy! I've been waiting for this video to hear YOUR thoughts! Love that you matched your sweater to the palette 😊💙💜 Im also a sucker for packaging.. 😁 Love your channel so much🙌
I bought it and returned it. While I thought it was cute it just didn’t work for my skin tone and that’s ok not everything does. The most disappointing shade was the purple I did get it to show up after building and building some more however I still had to reach into other palettes like Glamlite’s cake and Hudas mercury retrograde to get depth. And honestly I could have just used those two palettes without ND and created similar looks. So while I would have loved to have been able to add another ND palette to my collection I just didn’t feel it was worth it considering the price and the amount of work I had to put in in order to come out with a decent look.
Hi i bought mine and i love mine , however i also bought several pastel eye pencils to go with , i actually bought mine to take mine on holiday , we are going in july to the mediterranean, so its going to be very warm , so for me it will be perfect, i have all her mini palettes so yes i will most likely take a couple with me , i have used mine a couple of times , used with a proper primer it looked very nice i have no complaints , in fact i enjoyed using it very much ,i only shades i will not use is the lemon, but thats by personal choice . as for due chromes i am happy being a mature lady it has not settled into any eyelid creases , but for me on holiday i certainly do not want a full face of bright makeup thats for sure .so the more delicate the better, the secret is use a smaller brush and a packing brush if you want a deeper colour but then you are defeating the object of a pastel palette !
I think this pallet is lack luster because of all the other pallets that came before it. Pastel pup, Creepy Cute, Nomad Harajuku, Terra Moons, ect. Plus Terra Moons and Glamintrix did the pastel multichromes (wish Terra Moons didnt discontinue them). I think this pallet doesn't contain anything special to set it apart. Maybe if this had a couple multichromes. Or a iridescent inner corner color similar to prophecy or gifted. It needs something to make it interesting.
Okay, I feel like my first comment was kind of rage-y so I wanted to come back and say this: ND formulas rank so high on my list usually. I think the reason I was so disappointed with this palette is because I also got in Heather Austin x Adepts palette and it blew ND out of the water. I don’t think it was fair of me to compare these palettes because the color stories are so blatantly different. I’m glad you liked the pastel palette so far, Amy!! Hopefully more people make it work and like it rather than being disappointed and hating it. ❤️❤️
Every review I’ve seen with this palette has been really underwhelming to me, even when fairly represented. I think if I’d purchased this I would have been very disappointed. I think Nomads paradise island looks like it would be more impactful than this. I love ND color stories for the most part. This just looks lack luster to me. Nice review Amy thanks for your two cents. ❤️
I ordered it and after a glance I sent it back. We cant return make up here in germany unless its untouched, so I didnt touch it, i wasnt even tempted. It just looked so boring compared to the Glamlite Ice Cream Dream Palette. But I love the look you came up with
I bought this, but haven't received. I actually think the swatches look more intense than the shades look on the eye. But I was expecting pastel. And pastel is what I'm going to get! 😁
But there is Bh Cosmetics Lost in Los Angeles is probably more affordable pastel palette. I did pick up this palette, but again, I collect ND palettes and I'm also a sucker for packaging 😁
I wanted this palette but nah I’m like meh I don’t need it. I have tons of palettes with my Pat McGrath Motherships being the most expensive I’m gonna pass on this. Great review!
I skipped this one after seeing reviews but I’ve been dreaming of the ice cream palette ever since!!! If u had to recommend a pastel palette with mattes and shimmers, which would it be 🤔 I have bh Los Angeles but it’s just not super cohesive IMO.
I would probably go for ice cream dreams (if you love the whole color story, there’s a lot of non pastel shades) or the violet voss sugar crystals palette is still really great and strictly all pastel shades
This is the first palette I ever returned to Sephora 🤣 it's not horrible but underwhelming for the price,I collect the midi palettes but this one was not worth it
The purple should have been true to pan. I think that disappointed a lot of people, myself included. I have the ice cream dream palette and I feel it's so much better and I love Natasha Denona. I like the beauty bay pastels more, the bh cosmetics more, even the pastel shades in her loco palette and the one in the retro I've panned. It just wasn't her best for sure.
I'm not much of natasha's Denona fan what I've tried I'm like it's nice but not worth the money. Saw it was pastels and I know her other shades that are pastels are so so plus I'm not much of a pastel girl
I used the palette again today and I used the milk primer instead of my usual primer and omg I could not get ANY pigment onto my lid, I had to use my finger and dig in the pan and pat it on the lid 🙈 for $65 this should not be happening
That’s a pricey palette to get a one dimensional look. The blues and purples look like the two options to deepen any looks, but let me tell you, you get nothing. No depth in any other combo. The blues look the same as the purples or the green once blended. I’m the same skin tone as you. I used the ABH primer same as you. I started with a purple blue look same as you. Dig in and see if you can pull off a $65 look the next time too…The shimmer quality shocked me. I think it hits my angry button because my mother-in-law couldn’t work a single color with her coffee complexion. We laughed so hard and had a great playtime with it but only because it was so terrible she laughed until we were crying because of the ridiculousness. Oh well, one miss for me out of all her palettes isn’t a big deal overall and I think my 6 yr old niece who gets my castoffs will LOVE it!! (My positive spin 😆).

I’m glad I passed on it. I have the Violet Voss Sugar Crystals palette (based on your recommendation). It’s still in my collection and does the job, with some fun shimmery fun shades.
Love from the spooky Pine Barrens in NJ
Mine just came in the mail today! I'm not expecting a ton, but still excited nonetheless!
Oh wow! Your eyelook came out stunning though! 😍🥰😍
I did the very colorful one on ND Instagram and I love it so much minus the blue on cheeks
I feel this palette is less bright but it feels more genuine pastel and less pale neon like glamlite icecream dream or some of the other pastel recommendations.
I think this look is super pretty!!💜💙💛
Thank you 😊
It looks very good on you.
I Love this palette! My favorite ND palette. I don't understand the "problem".
Thank you for being honest. I don't think it's worth the price; it's only worth getting whenever it (inevitably) goes on sale at Sephora, which I bet will be in the fall. So for anyone on the fence, you have plenty of time to think about it.
Yeah I’m glad I got it 20% off for the Sephora sale
😁 Love your channel so much🙌
Oh wow! The swatches though! 😍🥰😍🥰
Good morning happy Thursday morning and I just wanted to say that your eyelashes is so cute you are gorgeous and I loved your channel
I’m glad you like yours 😊
Thanks for watching 😊
It’s not great , but I do think the looks I get from it are different from anything else in my collection & are really pretty, so I’m glad I have it .
I ordered it and after a glance I sent it back. We cant return make up here in germany unless its untouched, so I didnt touch it, i wasnt even tempted. It just looked so boring compared to the Glamlite Ice Cream Dream Palette.
But I love the look you came up with
You made this not so hot ND palette look amazing!
Great review! What is your favorite pastel / baby blue Single eyeshadow? Thank you in advance!
This palette definitely reminds me of the BH Lost in Los Angeles palette with just a few differences
I have the Lost In Los Angeles and will stick with that. I don’t wear pastels enough for an expensive palette.
Such a cute look
Yes I agree it’s the price. It’s not a bad palette but not amazing either 😊
I bought this, but haven't received. I actually think the swatches look more intense than the shades look on the eye. But I was expecting pastel. And pastel is what I'm going to get! 😁
I like mine. Illusion can be duped with Terra Moons and Pariah House with more shift, but overall I don't not like it.
I feel like Natasha Denona hasn't been doing special shimmers recently. It's pretty sad. I still love her mattes, though!
I love my blend bunnie surge palette. I also got to use an affiliate code for money off.
It’s such a good palette 🙌🏻
But there is Bh Cosmetics Lost in Los Angeles is probably more affordable pastel palette. I did pick up this palette, but again, I collect ND palettes and I'm also a sucker for packaging 😁
First 🥇. I wanted to get this palette but based on reviews I decided to skip it. It seems like it's ok at best. I do like the eyeshadow look you did.
Where did you buy that sweater?😍
You don't want the shimmers to overwhelm the soft mattes ya know. I think that's why she did it like that. Just my assumption though.
You could be right… I just feel like you could get the super soft not that special kind of shimmer for so much less.
@@AmyLovesMakeup true that!!
I wanted this palette but nah I’m like meh I don’t need it. I have tons of palettes with my Pat McGrath Motherships being the most expensive I’m gonna pass on this. Great review!
I was shouting zest at my phone hahaha. I'm glad you picked it.
😂😂
personally I don´t like high pigmentation, so I think I would like this palette if not so expensive :)
Thank you for this video! Can I ask the name of the little pencil brush with the red handle you were using? It looks perfect for the outer corner!
I believe that is the BK Beauty 207
Thank you!
„The problem“ is when you are a collector. You realise that this palette is too pricy for the specifics and colors but you still buy it 😅
I want your sweater where did you get it
I got it at Marshall’s last spring I believe
I skipped this one after seeing reviews but I’ve been dreaming of the ice cream palette ever since!!! If u had to recommend a pastel palette with mattes and shimmers, which would it be 🤔 I have bh Los Angeles but it’s just not super cohesive IMO.
I would probably go for ice cream dreams (if you love the whole color story, there’s a lot of non pastel shades) or the violet voss sugar crystals palette is still really great and strictly all pastel shades
Love your jumper :0) xx
Thank you!
I finally just gave in and bought this lol.
This is the first palette I ever returned to Sephora 🤣 it's not horrible but underwhelming for the price,I collect the midi palettes but this one was not worth it
Of course you look beautiful, when do you not! 😘😘😘😘
Thank you 🙈
The colors build up some what too
The purple should have been true to pan.
I'm also quite fair.
I love you, Amy! You’re v nice and smart! XOXO Heidi
👍👍👍👍
That red/coral shade irrationally bugs me so so much!
Same
I'm sure you're aware but the title days "deanna" my phone does it to me all the time lol 😘
Oh noooo 🙈😂 I hadn’t even noticed
@@AmyLovesMakeup autocorrect at its finest lol
I'm not much of natasha's Denona fan what I've tried I'm like it's nice but not worth the money. Saw it was pastels and I know her other shades that are pastels are so so plus I'm not much of a pastel girl
I used the palette again today and I used the milk primer instead of my usual primer and omg I could not get ANY pigment onto my lid, I had to use my finger and dig in the pan and pat it on the lid 🙈 for $65 this should not be happening
Geez 😅😅 What’s your usual primer?
im so glad i skipped this one after swatching it.
yeah! that red shadow is bleh 🤢
Everyone is not saying it's so bad
I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews 🙈🙈
@@AmyLovesMakeup me too!! I have to see a lot of people rave about something for me to be interested.
I love ND, but it is not carmine free. We are not at the middle ages anymore. We should evolve.
I don’t like this pallete at al cute to see but on the eyes so disappointed 😔 glad I skipped this one! 💕
