- Kelly Clarkson's divorce from Brandon Blackstock has gone to ugly places, but on August 12, the celeb got herself a big win.
After her estranged husband fought to throw out the ex-couple's prenuptial agreement, asking for Clarkson to provide significant monthly payments to him, a court has determined that the prenup will be honored. Naturally, Clarkson (and her accountants!) are pleased.
Divorce lawyer Christina Previte spoke to Nicki Swift about the former partners' "high conflict divorce," with Blackstock making major demands of his former spouse. Now, Clarkson has much less to worry about. Watch as an expert reveals how Kelly Clarkson is winning her divorce.

When Kelly's husband and his father tried to sue her for $1.4 million, she countersued and discovered they had stolen millions from her! I bet they never expected that, and she probably didn't even know they had done that until she was forced to fight off their lawsuit. If they weren't so greedy, they would have gotten away with it.

She was a smart woman for getting that in place beforehand. I told my daughters..Do not marry before you have a prenup. Expect and hope for the best but prepare for the worst...especially in communal 50/50 states.

They had a prenuptial agreement. This isn't double standards. He tried fighting the prenuptial agreement because he wants her to support his lifestyle while she has primary custody. This has been going on for almost a year. Check your stuff before you comment harmful things towards women

He was making/stealing millions on his own with his management company. If a woman was making that kind of money, she would not be awarded much if any in the way of spousal support.
