    I'm 17 year old girl from Portugal with autism and I really like this video. I also think you are very sweet and I have a special interest on northern European languages, so I might as well be learning Norwegian sometime soon!!

      I’ve never been to Portugal, but someday. Very kind of you ☺️ That’s fun! Which languages? Scandinavians or northern liks Germany and Iceland and stuff too?

    • @amandacesar4830
      @amandacesar4830 4 года назад

      @@WiwyWish They can vary a lot depending on what you're looking for (location, culture, language family). What all linguists agree to be Northern European languages are Scandinavian Languages, Icelandic and Finnish. Most people will also consider Latvian, Lithuanian and Estonian and some even further with German, Dutch, English and Polish. I can speak German and some Finnish and when I'm done with Finnish, I'll follow up to a Scandinavian Language. :)

      Wow, thanks for info! So you know portugese, english, german and a bit finnish?? That’s a lot of languages!! Have you taught yourself?

    • @amandacesar4830

      @@WiwyWish I find that self teaching anything is pretty hard. There are so many ways to start and I just don't know where to, so I never actually do. I can do a lot of work by myself like translating and writing which helps a lot, but I have a teacher for all of my foreign languages. Also, living in Europe gives us an amazing opportunity to travel easily, so finding places (in my case in Germany and England) that accept my needs as autistic and allows me to experience my target language is really what makes it all more fun!

    Thanks for this, I've been thinking of doing a similar channel but haven't worked up the confidence yet!
    (Also your English is great)

    Hey Sara (sorry if I misspell your name), I've just come accross your channel, which confirms my general opinion as a neurotypical person, that the more I get to know about autism the more I understand how tough life can be for people on the spectrum. I really look up to you guys! Take care and keep posting videos as long as you feel comfortable with it!

      It’s correct spelling, thanks for writing it that way ;) And THANK YOU for wanting to watch my videos and wanting to understand the autistic spectrum and the people on it. What made you interested to know more about it if I may ask? ☺️

      @@WiwyWish Sure, you may ask. :-) I met a very kind person a few months ago, who seemed to be a little bit "odd' right from the start, if I may put it that way. :-) But I still wanted to keep contact with her. Altogether we only met 3 times, but we have been chatting on messenger since the first encounter, and the more I knew about this person, the more I was convinced that she might be on the spectrum (she displays a number of specific traits of ASD: social isolation, social awkwardness, special interests, unusual communication style, sensory issues, coordination issues etc.). So I started to dig deeper into the subject to see how I could get closer to her (and eventually give her at least emotional support). But I am not sure wether she is aware of her own condition, and even less sure if she knows that I already have a clue of her condition. Ever since we first met, I have been obsessively reading into the subject (Tony Attwood's The Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome was of great use to me) and watching RUclips videos on ASD, and that's how I came accross your channel too (through this video, to be more precise: ruclips.net/video/OtNwQ4nCpfE/видео.html). So that's my own story with ASD in short. :-)

      That’s a great story, you should make it into a book! I know kind of what you mean. DID, which is a dissosiative disorder, makes some kids brains to spilt up the personality into fragments, so when they grow up they have several people living inside the body. And me, NOT having this diagnosis, got obsessed with it like two years ago. I don’t research it anymore, but I think getting interested in other peoples life and how they function, helps us a people to grow. :)

      @@WiwyWish You mean this person I met might have DID as part of ASD?

    • @faguriga81
      @faguriga81 4 года назад +1

      Or you just wish to point to the fact that you know too what it means to obsessively dig into a subject? :-)

    Hi, great job! I have six kids and three have varying forms of autism. Also, as a parent pondering if my daughter shows signs of high functioning AU. Heck, even I was different growing up. You did a great job!! Also, curious about where you live bc we've looked into moving to other countries, but am unsure about resources there for kids with autism. We've looked into Sweden, Norway, Iceland , Canada, Ireland , Scotland , etc
