I wasn't expecting a continuation of this series. Talk about a pleasant surprise! Emerald was my favorite game.

Emerald is the Hoenn game I've played the most. It also happens to be one of the least sold mainline Pokémon games, though.

Also, Brendan is a great fighter. Surprised to see him get physical as we don't see people throw fists in the Pokemon world. Except lance of course

Yeah, this animation seems to follow the games not the manga, but who knows, maybe we'll see May go Tarzan and dress up in a leaf bikini like Sapphire.

Very nice contrast between May and Brendan's journeys. Brendan is more direct, just going from point A to B, even if he has to get rough while doing so, like with Team Aqua. May, however, is content to let wanderlust take her forward, going everywhere she can to find new things along her journey. And tiny May and Jasmine trying Strength was precious. ^_^
The Hoenn games may not have been my first, but they are so nostalgic to me!
Great work! I really like the different style of the background art. Makes this series feel different from the Red/Gold sagas. Also the use of May's ORAS outfit for her as a child is a nice touch!

Your animation skills have gotten so much better since Red 1 and even before that when you made battle scenes. Like you're encroaching on full studio team skill level and able to pump these episodes out every few weeks. It's amazing. Congrats. This video truly shows how far you've come as an animator Pedro. I honestly didn't even knew there was a part 1 I was confused for a moment.
I really like the intentional disconnect between backgrounds and characters this time. And the callback to the climax of the Gold Series near the end was nice.

May is an Itemholic like me, I approve! Hoenn has a bunch of unseen ones in the first few routes compared to Johto or Kanto. I use itemfinder a lot.

This is fantastic! So much jam packed into the episode! From references to the updated graphics (puddles and reflections in the water) to the cute collars and outfits on the zigzagoons (and the reference to the nugget on the Lady's zigzagoon). Man, you never fail to impress! I love your videos so much and I'm always so happy to see one! I know RUclips has been beating you down lately, so I really appreciate that you've stuck it out and are still making content. It's inspirational!
I also love how you tie your series' together, with things like May and Jasmine being childhood friends and the Rocket stuff in the Gold series. It makes me really look forward to what's coming! Love the flashback to May and Jasmine's friendship, the inclusion of Brendon, as you were with Kris in gold and blue + Green in Red. So many little details from the string shot binding pokemon to the Rich Zigzagoon and the fight with the Aqua grunt. I love it all.

The amount of frames makes this feel like 5+ minutes easily, despite being 3. A lot of effort here and I enjoy you doing like 3 different pokemon series at the same time! Been watching for 4 years.

Yesssss, I finished a playthrough of emerald recently (prob my 100th one lmao) so its nice to see a continuation. Its my favourite pokemon game ever. I love how may wears the oras outfit when shes younger.

Wow, this episode is so cool! It was cool to see May training her Wurmple to make it evolve into Silcoon shile Brendam was fighting Team Aqua with is Treecko. May was finding out that poison attacks are good against grass type pokemon and she got to do a double battle and she use her Mudkip & Silcoon to do so and this is how May Silcoon got to evolve into Beautifly just before she arrives to Rustboro City!

I absolutely did not expect this in my timeline today. Especially, since i wasnt even aware that there was an episode 1, thats over a year old now. But i kind of like it, considering that this story was supposed to take place long before gen 2 does. I like that its kind of in between the other stories.

I love the emphasis on HMs in the region where an HM slave mattered most 😁
Especially with her having Zigzagoon. Learns everything other than Flash (the irrelevant HM) and Fly (the second best HM after Surf)
