I don't like Mario Kart 8 DX because I hate the double items. In double dash it was good, in 8dx it just promotes item spam since you can't swap. Not to mention the item balance is garbage, with most items just being "use to win" instead of any skill. Plus, shit online

You can really hear the difference in Scott’s voice. He sounds more confident and generally happy to talk about a game he cares for.
I gotta say, this community evolved a lot since I last saw/played this game (and yes I say game, because this is more than a SRB2/Doom Mod at this point).
Also, thanks for using DiC Sonic as a showcase, it means a lot to me as the KC (Kart Character) creator and this video did give me some motivation to go back to the game ^^
Seeing Scott talk about SRB2 in at least some form was not what I was expecting today, but I am more than happy, one of the best Sonic fangames out there and it makes me so happy people still play and talk about it to this day

I used to played it all the time since the week it released, but part of why I moved on was because the servers got smaller and smaller.
Even with lag, everybody still had a good time. There wasn’t even that much lag; the game doesn’t use fancy 3D visuals or anything.
This is how every racing game should be designed, mode-wise.

Honestly discovering this game through scott's streams (and lythero's) was an incredible experience. Heck I even got to play a few rounds.
Great video! Admittedly I haven't played SRB2 Kart in some months, but looking forward to going back to play it.

Doom mods run on Android as well if you already have access to a decent device. Never tried this, but I play Doom 2 with Brutal Doom on my Pixel 2 pretty effectively

It doesn't punish mistakes and the online components are half-assed at best. I enjoy 8, but 64 and Double Dash are much more competitive imo

There also another doom mod you should try out, it's MegaMan 8-bit Deathmatch (MM8BDM) is a FPS with MegaMan, you could play multiplayer and its free.
