how
Hi
Why are you torturing us..WHYYY(also first heh 6s ago)
the real bait and switch was making me think this beach episode would spend more than 4 minutes on a beach
We did get bikinis tho so I was happy.
@Scutum-ky2fxnah we didnt get bikini Jax 😔
bait and switch by kfdm?? :0
My man@Scutum-ky2fx
@FreyW-mb2dj what???
This might be one of the episodes that felt the shortest despite being a bit more than 30 mins
fr fr
YES I SWORE IT WAS TEN MINUTES WHEN I FINISHED LIKE WTF HAPPENED?????
Makes sense, this is the episode they chose to split into two
reall i feel so confused right now
Ik
The holding hands while walking towards the blue button had the same vibe as "When the horror movie monster is dead but there's still 40 minutes left in the movie"
Vibes toy story 3
@irishakalahari FR!
It reminded me of the scene in Gravity Falls where they're about to kill Bill with the spray paint circle but SOMEONE decided not to hold hands 😠
@NoPosts4U The ending gave me IMMENSE "Not What He Seems" vibes with Dipper and Stan yelling at Mabel about the button.

1% beach episode

notice how kinger's intelligence increased even tho he is in a INCREDIBLY bright room, he is becoming more aware.
Let's hope he does become more aware 🙏🥹
I edited this reply.
That's about it, see 'ya.
I don't think the dark thing was real I think caine was messing with kingers mind to stop him
@JackKleenerHUH??? WHAT R U TALKING ABOUT??!!!?!!
@salts10101I thought he meant Kinger was an AI?????!?!
THIS EPisode IS MAING ME LO SE MY AHOT DO NOT LISTEN T O MY UWSAE RAMBLI JGZ
The fact Caine's adventure had a plan that involved taking advantage of his own insecurities means he's surprisingly self-aware.
he's too self-aware.
Yea plus the fact that he also seems to have emotions, which obviously AI does not. Something is definitely up with him
That or Caine was only acting that way as part of the adventure. Ordinarily, I would also assume that Caine really does have these insecurities, but now I'm questioning everything.
Or he’s been playing them up.
That, and/or he just reeeally wanted someone to ask him about himself and his interests (and convince the gang that he's cool and "one of them")
Honestly, it's weirdly nice seeing Caine be under pressure, being called out and questioned because the tables have been turned on him for once
I LOVE IT!!!
fr
The amount of fear he had when kinger talked was goldrn
Yea
yeah expecially with kinger cause caine knows that kinger mighter know the way out and the gang might talk with kinger in the dark to see if he can actually plan a escape for them
"prank chill it's just the"
A bro:
ههههه مزحة الأخ 😭🤚🏻
One job had bro: 😭🙏
Glitch makes the Gaslight District and yet this episode was the biggest gaslight of the century.
they told us stuff without telling anything at all
MAN I FEEL SO USED
Sorry boss, I don't think Rogue operator theory is happening
Facts
What are the chances I see this comment and watch your videos? There are over 100 000 comments.
Jax got SO close to abstraction so much in this episode. You can TELL bro was on the brink.
Aye, his eyes were full abstraction
bro was abstracting in the beginning of the episode
Yeah when he woke up from his dream his eyes were the colors of abstraction
The only reason Jax didn't just abstract is because he desperately managed to focus his mind at what is real at the last second which happens to be the obvious red or blue buttons as they are the only real thing he can see past his existencal crisis
but I seriously think Caine is the one abstracting them since he’s messing with the minds also 31:43 what does Kinger mean by that?
I also think Caine is lobotomizing Kinger 😭
"One of the few things I DON'T have control over are your minds!"
*EXTREMELY LOUD INCORRECT BUZZER*
"Erm actually I can add temporary modifiers haha, my bad guys"
Something tells me Kinger's psychosis is another "modifier"
30 MINS AGO AND 1K LIKES!?
@the_infinexosOMG UR ON SOMETHING
@the_infinexos it prolly is, cuz its "temporary". Only wears off in the dark,so it isnt necesserally permanent. But the circus is fully bright so it goes to Caines advantage
@the_infinexos Worth noting that noone can remember their names, and that sure ain't temporary.
Episode 5: "I need more answers."
Episode 6: "I need more answers."
Episode 7: "I need more answers."
Episode 8: "I need more answers."
my thoughts exactly
Episode 9: “I need more answers- oh wait this is the last episode”
Episode 9: "That can't be it!"
This ep is def a confirmation that in order to escape, you have to say "name + exit", he made them forget their names.
Sir... you're a genius
Interesting
@IngenieroManit was already a theory going around, because "Pomni" means "remember" in russian and Pomni said "our names..." after Jax crashes out !! They're sm cooked, they'll have to face him....
😮😮😮 that’d be great. What are the odds their names are their Voice Actors names?
You are a genius
Love how you can literally SEE the precise moment the gang realises they never had a chance at escaping.
"If you slow it down at just the right moment, you can see his heart shatter to pieces" -Bart Simpson
Caine is acting so happy but the gang are staring at reality. It shocked me lol.
@FroggyYeepsHideandSeek same
The way to leave??
Imagine the twist they are AI copies of the real people. And the way they get out, isn’t becoming computer viruses. But rather luring the real people they’re based off of, back to the abandoned building, and stealing their bodies. While the real people they’re based off of are trapped not on the Circus, but within their own subconsciouses, trapped as a witness to AI copies that stole their bodies for the rest of their lives. Realizing we shouldn’t have been rooting for these guys, but rather wished the real Pomni and others never took the bait.
The second they started speed confirming theories, I knew something was wrong.
Sameeee, i literally just heard a theory the other day that the wooden mannequin was abel and I was like wait a damn second
Всё было слишком хорошо чтобы быть правдой…
Yeah
For me it was the "Cane is also trap here like you" and was confirmed with "Correct choice".
That repeat was AI behavior.
Ps: the chinese room is another reference in How AI learn and replicate thing YET dosnt really know WHY, so they kinda SUCK at translations.
For i think cane found out about their plan
And change everything at the last minutes
Because they told kinger
You know what would be cool? If they escaped the circus and have all the voice actors do like a live action type thing and all meet up in real life.
YES!
Don't spoil the 97.9% chance that will be the end credits bloopers reel!
El mejor final sin duda
Don’t let all the stuff with Caine distract you from the fact that Pomni did want to steal that treasure.
This is the best comment ever
Lol
@Unwantedopiumsfr
@Unwantedopiums REAL TOT
Or was it Caine modify her thoughts?
"bro chill its just a prank"

Yeah actually can we get someone to check on him? Is he okay?
Funny how the trailer was 75% beach episode but in reality it’s like 5%

It was on the bingo card
The fact we're going to have to wait 3-4 months for the next episode is criminal. Absolutely incredible work.

“THAT CANNOT BE HOW IT ENDS.”
I say as I’m dragged into a white room
Same 😭😭😭
i think there's one more episode! one. one.
… was that white room.. potentially filled with rats? And do they make you crazy?
@notreallyuptoit2* 8 and 9
Same 😔✌️
When Caine says have a good night, he messes up and says have a good light. Kinger’s reaction to light is something Caine is definitely related to.
I feel like this might be a stretch... but, it cant be an accident
Crackpot theory what if that was an modifier placed on kinger
@berbtheguy "Forever modifier, GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" -Caine, probably
Mission failed
Notice how Abel laments when he mentions Caine not being able to leave like he wants the others to also feel sad and steer them into pushing the red button.
Actually top tier foreshadowing!
Definitely noticed that, enough to make me pause the episode and ask “why do you keep trying to sympathise with the AI- ohhh yeah okay this is a trap…”
I was going "why would they care, why would he"?
For some reason I didn't predict the most obvious plot twist.
Maybe because they showed flashbacks that didn't happen to trick the audience. Aka: bad writing
Totally noticed this the second time through. It’s such good foreshadowing
@RejtanPolitik What flashbacks did they show that didn't happen?
Nobody's talking about the idea that the what we see of ragathas perspective when she drinks stupid sauce (confirmed as Caines doing here) is really similar to what we see of jaxs experience of beginning to abstract in this episode.
I love how we’re all so gobsmacked by the ending nobody is talking about how Zach Hadel voiced a terribly animated talking fish in this episode
SO TRUE OMFG😭😭😭
Lmfao so true bruh
I just finished the episode with my friend and the first thing I said on hearing him was "Zach!?" which greatly confused my friend for reasons.
RIGHT LMFAO
I was just disappointed we didn't loop back to the treasure. would've liked to see the end of that.
never seen a fandom so traumatized before an episode has even released
edit: still traumatized
It's time for a real storm...
I suspect the Deltarune fandom is gonna be this way when we get to Chapter 7. 😅
Yikes.......
@chaosinc.382how is delta rune? I’ve heard lots of good things about it. But idk if I gotta play undertale first. I haven’t played either. I do plan to on winter break though.
@dunno._.2484 Oh, Deltarune is great!! The first chapter is rather rough but chapter 2 shakes off the rust and 3 + 4 are amazing. It's very funny but also occasionally depressing. You dont hafta worry about not playing Undertale btw. Some of the characters are the same, but all of them are different versions of the same characters due to the setting difference. Deltarune isnt a sequel or anything, it's separate from UT. Story is amazing as well. ❤
The end where Kinger was able to be comprehensive and yk "sane" while being in a bright room I think really freaked Caine out
Yk how he says he can’t change minds? He changed scratch ( the hotdog guy ) mind and he abstracted
Do you think Kinger being crazy in the light is a modification from Caine so he won't remember things?
@jodiebutterworth8682 most definitely
@jodiebutterworth8682it's definitely a possibility. I can definitely imagine Caine giving Kinger something to make him less understandable becuase he knows to much
He does a Freudian slip immediately after too. "Have a good light" before immediately correcting to "night", he's thinking about Kinger being cognizant in spite of the light
Something I don't see anyone talking about- Jax wants to stay. There's clearly something in the real world he doesn't want to see again.
Scratch's abstraction must have been horrific considering the fact that Kinger remembered it while IN FRONT OF A BRIGHT LIGHT.
🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Makes you wonder how bad was it at first. Did he abstract and transform right in front of the first Circus members?
Or it must mean that Caine's modifiers on kinger arent working as much, which is why caine looks so distressed, he even says "light" instead of "night" when trying to worm his way out
oh yeah
imagine being transported into a world where you have a weird body, and you cant leave, and one of the only people you're stuck with turns into an eldritch abomination before your eyes and you have no idea why.
thats fucking horrifying😭
This gives Caine a whole new perspective. It doesn't matter if he is an AI, he was most likely responsible for the many abstractions in the circus. This was the first time we genuinely saw Caine actually making sense. This video was wild.
Fr
"he was most likely responsible for the many abstractions"
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that he was responsible for _all_ of them. The first, Scratch, was definitely Caine pushing the modifications too far, perhaps also for too long; however, with that context I bet the other Abstractions have been from "temporary" modifications that built up over time. Caine may have made sure that they were only temporary but--if the target didn't know they were being modified ala Jax when he was made vegan--over time the person starts losing their understanding of self, unsure of which part is real, maybe even have internal conflicts created by the modification (imagine an actual vegan being modified to full carnivore without understanding it was a modification.) The leads to something like disassociation, depersonalization, etc... and the person no longer understands themself. This causes ADC to be unable to handle their psyche because its only being fed an "abstraction" (and probably some basic drives/urges), and so the character becomes this garbled mess running rampant.
So even if Caine now only does temporary modifications, it could still lead to abstraction. That said... did Jax pick up his fear of corn from somewhere?
Or was he given it?
@Tukaro holy sugar-shifter, dude
Pissed That We Can Only Have 1 Season of This Great Show
@Tukaro That is a good question. If he did alter their memories, they probably wouldn't even know until they look deep into it.
After ep 6: "God, I hope we get a few answers next episode"
After ep 7: "God, I hope we get a few answers next episode"
After ep 8: "God, I hope we get a few answers next episode"
Fr lol
After ep 9: God i hope we get a few answers next episode
Ep 8 ohhhhhhhh
That what worries me
22:24 "yeah let's all follow Mr. Obvious twist villain"
-jax
I love how they just gave a us a little filler episode where all the characters have fun at the beach and nothing goes wrong for the characters
It's always healthy for a show series to have a pallet cleanser episode like this.
Nothing. Bad. Ever. Happened. EEEEEVEEEER
Cmon, we can't have lorebreaking, fandom shaking, emotional rollercoaster of episodes everytime, people
I was also thinking it was filler at the start.
É tirando o jax chapado das ideias
“Scratch..The First Abstraction”
Really makes you wonder if the Abstraction is just a failsafe way to silence people who get a little too nosy about the environment they’re in.
Technically, it is a way to "silence" whoever discovered something. Supposedly, in the pilot, Kaufmo had found the "exit" and coincidentally went crazy and became abstracted. And when Pomni supposedly entered the "exit," Caine got very nervous, saying it was an "unfinished surprise." And in the next chapter, Pomni has nightmares that she was becoming abstracted, maybe it wasn't a nightmare...
Maybe but at the same time it can naturally happen, seeing that Jax was about to abstract for just being so depressed.
I think it happens when you lose your sense of self
@RameNoodlsbut we found out Caine can also cause them
@89_Winchpit_24Oh....oh.
Even despite Jax being unstable, if out of the two buttons he slammed the red one, his life before the Circus must have been HELL.
BRO FR
I think its more if they leave he has to really face the consequences of his actions in the circus
i think he killed some one in a dui or something
yeah 😔💔
He definetly did SOMETHING bad
Theres hardly any beach 😭
I like how you could infer that Abel was one of Caine's NPCs because he named it Abel, then killed it later. Cain and Abel.
yes
I KNEW THAT I WAS NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO THOUGHT THAT
I noticed that too
That is so TRUUUE!
OK YES BUT LIKE I THOUGHT KINGER WAS ABEL
At first I was curious why Pomni was hesitating so much at the console, but then I realized that Abel telling her to “make the right choice” caused her to worry about the seemingly clear decision.
Yea, doesn’t help that she’s always anxious
Oh yeeeah that makes sense
I thought she was secretly Ribbit or another NPC or something.
Which would’ve taken them to shrimp town
my dumbass thinking it was still real
"All your theories are wrong, goodbye."
LOL
So real tho.
“It was time for the gang to leave, they had seen everything.”
@TheGreenJ5058
Nahhh lol being
Genuinely was scared that the show was going the most predictable and boring route. I'm so glad they subverted it, because this would have been so unsatisfying as the conclusion.
Complete unseriousness contrasted with complete seriousness is what I like about this series.
I noticed Abel repeatedly trying to inspire sympathy for Caine by mentioning he wouldn’t be able to leave, definitely a sign in hindsight
YOOOOO XPLOSHI
yes!! i was wondering why abel kept harping on about caine not being able to leave!
Yeah it is
HIIII
Xploshi's Here!?!??!
My jaw was on the floor the whole time and only kept getting farther and farther open as the episode progressed
ME TOO.
Real man💔 (I'm not okay after this)
The ending... Omg 😭
X2
By the end, my jaw wrapped around the earth
Story telling 101, never trust someone who vocally says “you will not regret this”
He's literally a vox 2.0 (not really but still)
@Official.BbybloomieHe bent the truth!
19:43. I love the detail that when he turns to zooble he says "hi gangle!" and when he turns to gangle he says "hi zooble!"
I love how Caine gets so nervous to the point he says words wrong. He even made the room BRIGHT so that Kinger wouldn't remember anything and panicked the moment Kinger remembered the first abstraction
I LOVE KANE SO MUCH THIS WAS SUCH A GOOD EPISODEEEE
Exactly. This makes me think that it wasn't an adventure at all, he was just trying to cover up. They wouldn't know anyway because they didn't get to press the blue button?
@MeowingMeowilyLike a placebo effect if I gave them an adventure that there is no way out, they would never look for it again because in theory, we tried and it didn't work
@MeowingMeowily He could also be panicking because he was aware of how they didn't want to leave (through Able)
and kinger was able to remember the name scratch and said the first abstraction with the bright light in his face, no darkness to help him remember. I hope Kinger will start to remember more
for some reason its gratifying to see characters like pomni and zooble be visibly ANGRY at caine
42815 Pilgrim Sq, Chantilly, VA
This you bro?😂
Or Jax. Who never gets visibly angry. because he hates showing genuine emotion
@John-q5b2k Wtf
Based af! Pomni learning to be more assertive too is good!
The last few minutes perfectly matched the existential dread the pilot's ending had
Im so glad we've returned to form
WE ARE BACK BABYYY
It's definitely a callback!
With the basic plot of the cast trying to find a way out, only for that way out to be faked.
Caine though is totally malicious this episode compared to the pilot.
As one commenter pointed out, having the bright light in the final room to prevent Kinger from realizing that this was a scam is crazy.
Yeahh
Mob????
i IMMEDIATELY clocked the cain and abel reference when we first saw the C&A logo. at least i think its a reference otherwise i sound dumb
I had the same thought. It was pretty much confirmed for me in Episode 6 you can see "Caine & Abel" (with an 'e' in "Caine", I notice) written on Pomni's gun when she's aiming at the cans. Then consider that Abel was Cain's younger brother...
This whole episode can be described with one phrase: "Nobody expected this but there could not be any other way around"
No other way you can describe it! :D
Literally!!
It felt too good to be true
Jax expected this
That's exactly it.
ohh that's why abel doesn't want kinger to be filled in. because kinger is knowledgeable enough to know that his plan makes no sense and won't work. caine is completely malicious here
Or because this one's been done before and is what caused the first abstraction
Aye, right before he entered the light and his mind went away, he wanted to say something to Pomni after seeing the Administration Access
We should’ve seen it coming. The C&A from episode 1 was Caine and Able and the mannequin is named Able. It was right there!😮😮😢😢
I had that idea too, it was already crazy enough for Caine to grant access to his office whether that specific room was staged or not, he could’ve actually found something groundbreaking.
@SirDoober omg lowkey that is SO smart-
i love how the fish seem like old npcs from an old adventure back when caine wasn't as advanced
like 0.1 version fishes on 2.0 version
Me too!
I feel these fish were one of the first NPCs created by Caine, Probably when The circus was still being made
Honestly thought it was a bit of a reference to gaithers pond and its absurd animation. But yea, them being rough quickly made models and animations makes more sense than referencing inexperienced animations.
Im pretty sure they are also refferences to gaithers pond given the way the talking is animated
Who rewatches all the episodes before episode 8?
Caine was so self-serving that he even conned Jax into asking him about his hobbies. He literally twisted things in order to get one of the humans to spend time with him and compliment him.
I thought about this. Everything that Able said or told the cast to do was just a script from Caine.
I completely forgot about that, he truly just wants the humans to be his friends and like him. But, hes causing so much more damage than he liked- my goodness-
i don't think he's self-serving, just very very desperate. he'll try anything.
he CRAVES appreciation and love and care like human beings
This is all in addition to the fact that Kane seems to have interfered with the free will of Jax's consciousness. Well, a real Demiurge🥰.
You know, the old textures of the fish and the missing treasure implies that an adventure was held at the lake probably decades ago.
Or Caine planned out an adventure with the fish but didn't finish it, leaving the models, textures, and animations in a crude alpha state
I love that detail
I do like this. As Kingers knowledge about the "admin access" hand thingy. He recognized it immediately. Means he's seen it before as it has already happened, he was going to tell Pomni and the others but he's too broken by now
Or its just a reference to Gaither's Pond.
Yeah, it did read like a player stumbling onto an already finished side quest.
"...they cut me off..."
Caine is aware that he's not receiving instructions from the outside anymore. And he is BITTER about it.
He may be receiving instructions he just no longer has access to things like the internet or cameras
First thought I had when he said that was "who's they?!!"
More like no more access to information all ai need data to absorb and caine needs more data to use in replicating the outside world , as that would've made his "adventure" more realistic
At what time did he say that?
Yeah what time did he say this?
I swear ive waited almost a YEAR for episode 8 and im js watching episode 7 OVER AND OVER AGAIN💔
So when Jax was floating through that weird colorful room we got to see what abstraction looks like. It looks so peaceful...
He started smiling near the end of that sequence. If that's how it's like for every abstraction... I don't know if I fully grasp the implications.
like the time Kinger explains that he had a wife
realllll
Yeah, Yeah, I wonder what those "cells" are that were shown at the end of the road, before Jax was lucid again
Its because theyre finally being put out of suffering, the end, peace at last
“I do not use my adventures to torture my guests. Any torment I inflict is 100% accidental, like any good war criminal.”
The adventure:
It technically was accidental
He thought that was what they wanted, like the exit door in the pilot. Funny how he lied about those adventures only, claiming there is no exit door and that he hadn’t planned an adventure for the cast last ep
@sninctbur3726 that is true but boy that was a bigger stumble than all the other adventures he was making😂
@sninctbur3726 No it wasn't. Caine knew exactly what he was doing. He knew how badly they all wanted to leave the circus and decided to use it against them for his own selfish gratification.
You don't go to that great length of a scheme accidently. Plus, as Jax pointed out, Caine has constantly lied to them. Why should anyone believe Caine has any good intentions at this point?
As far as I'm concerned, he's shown his true colors now. Caine wants them to be his puppets forever and he'll do whatever it takes to pull their strings to make them dance for him.
Yeah, let's not forget the "HOW'S YOUR WIFE KINGER"
7:00 NOT JAX WITHOUT HIS PINK JUMPER
I love how Abel & Caine tried to throw us off from trusting King bc since King is a Dev, King would've seen right through Abel and know all of it was an Adventure
He would have had first hand experience since he worked at the company
Definitely makes sense that trying to force someone to be happy when they’re deeply depressed might lead to a complete mental breakdown
His room probably makes it worse, he'd be better off in a different room then being in his rainbow room all day
Bro, that's right...
If you're in a cage and someone just waves the exit in front of your face...
I would have already lost all trust in Kane and the situation as a whole.
“Have you tried meditating/exercising/not being sad?”
These may or may not be things I’ve personally been told to before
@HowDoYouPronounceGIFwell, have you?
@HowDoYouPronounceGIF Those kind of comments are what online spaces like reddit thanks I'm cured complain about, when people offer overly simplistic solutions to highly complex problems. When you're pushed into the role of Captain Oblivious by their Captain Obvious level attempts at counseling advice.
Finishing this episode feels like a steamroller just ran over you
Fr
cackling out loud omg thank you for this
Fr the plot twist hit me like a damn train lol
Me too, we have to wait like less than 90 days for it to come episode 8. I have not processed what just happened- 🤧💔
My bf and I just finished it and I’ve been in denial ever since

31:04 This is the first time Jax showed genuine anger towards Caine, and the worst part is it’s been building up since ep 5 when he realized that Caine’s pre-established limitations were a lie.
@Laoithy_GamerI think they were just happy to share their thoughts. You don't have to put them down because they said something obvious to you
@nataliemusilova1755I was sarcastic Vro
31:28
The icing on the cake is Zooble looking angry after Jax lashed out at Caine.
@Laoithy_Gamer grow up
@flamingowrangler what did I do? :(
Funny how Chinese dub Caine still says he doesn't speak Chinese.
.
Well, this is a reference to the "Chinese Room," a famous debate about the capabilities of artificial intelligence, which was started, if I remember correctly, by Alan Turing. However, I found a different reference more interesting, which was made for Ukrainian, Russian, and Belarusian fans of the series (for Eastern Slavs). This reference is a melody that plays at 27 minutes and 7 seconds, which is an excerpt from the opera "Prince Igor" (about the legendary hero of these three nations). This song was sung by captives who wanted to escape from their captivity. in the opera, it is played before the prince escapes from the enemy camp
I'll translate the passage that plays in this melody, and you'll understand the hints about this series.
Fly away, our song, on the wings of the wind, to our native land, our beloved land, our forever beloved land. Wherever we sang you as free people, wherever the sky filled the air with tenderness and love, wherever the real sun gently illuminates the real shores and the waves of the sea. Fly away, our song, wherever you feel free and at ease.
imagine they changed it to “I don’t know, I don’t speak English” in the Chinese dub (but in Chinese)
everyone should lock with kinger in a dark room and start asking questions about the very start of the circus
Yeah
I think only pomni knows the dark makes him less crazy
@shadowlLink pomni can still tell everyone about kinger and the dark.
no literally
get kinger some shades
Idk this actually the best episodes tbh 🎉 the graphics actually look so good , pls I need eps 8 🙃
the fact kinger remembered the first abstraction despite the bright light makes me think his limits are fading and he’s returning to his prime state
Kinger Prime: Last Admin
The light seemed intentional as Caine said at the end “Stay *fragnant!* Have a good *light…”* only to correct himself “Fragrant! Night! Bye!”. He was essentially telling Kinger to stay in the light so his mind stays fragmented and broken.
@ghostspider2056OO
@ElectroshockedTherapy elden ring boss music starts to play
It could be an integer overflow situation. Whatever Cain did to alter Kingers' mental stability could be overwhelmed by the screen in front of them.
22:58 kinger recognizing that the thing in his hands is *not* admin privileges and trying to warn the others of that means that he knows what admin privileges really look like
I think admin privileges have to be granted from the outside and Kinger already has them, hence the butterfly
@justsomenoob1882also in the note for the plan the “old c&a workers” had kinger and kaufmo listed. the others were crosses out but im not sure if it means something since i guess it wasnt real
I KNEW IT , IM NOT ALONE
Wait so that means abel wasn't lying about everything.... And now that I think about it, the thing about Caine being able to control minds might be why Abel was acting like that. What if Cainewas just controlling him? What if Caine found out about everything that was happening and made it look like a big prank when it really wasn't? What if Caine and Kinger have more control over the digital world than we know?
kinger's has experience in programming; he studied computer science in the real world.
I love that Jax finally stood up to Caine there at the end. Everyone finally getting mad. Loved this episode.
It is really unifying and cool to see for his character.
This whole episode he's been a grump, but in this one moment he's the voice for how everyone else feels.
They have had enough
Freshly baked comments ❤
I love how you spoiled the end for me
@CREAMBERRYBERRYVRwhy are you reading comments before watching the video?
anyone here after ep 8 trailer? 😭👇
I like the fact that in the begining when Pomni jumped into the water, she came up for air that one time, but then after going under the second time she just started talking and basically forgot that she needed air!
but she... doesnt? pretty sure episode 2 comfirm they dont need oxygen the pomni going up for air was prob just a joke
@Nildog_gaming Pretty sure it's reflexive. After all, she still has a human brain which is designed to work with a human body. She was probably just baffled about the whole exchange that she just adopted toon logic before her reasoning came back.
@derekstryder2281she does a lot of weird things this episode
Why, I mean WHY would she hesitate at the end. It doesn't make sense. Why did she want to discuss which button to press?
@michielbrand4127 To recap:
Able was adamant about not getting Kinger involved. Pomni knows Kinger well enough to trust his judgement, and this is further reinforced by Ragatha. But the big reason was that Able repeated his last line, "Make the right choice," in response to Pomni saying she would buy him a beer. So yeah, her being suspicious of the terminal makes a lot of sense.
@michielbrand4127Looked like she was trying to buy time for Kinger to become lucid. If it was a trap or there was a trick to it, lucid Kinger would likely be able to navigate it safely.
man this episode what an emotion rollercoaster all of jax panic attacks and him being right about abel and caine this was just insane
My farts are better than GLITCH’s farts 💨
SPOILERS??
Yep, god what the flippin’ hell just happened
They made a shitty ending.
@hazard.drawss don't read the comments before watching the video
The way Abel paused after Pomni said she’d buy him a beer when they returned home. Both Abel and Caine knew they would never be able to leave.
I was thinking, he acted like an NPC at that moment
I'll keep thinking that he was an AI just like Caine
"Make the right choice"
Abel
WHAT THE F***,
10 MINUTES AGO THIS HAD 12 LIKES
NOW IT HAS 1.1K
what if someone is controlling caine like a video game
The most shocking thing about this episodes is the fact there was no abstractions, and the fact that caine definitely abstracted someone
I mean arguably he might have abstracted everyone who’s abstracted, it was just that the first one was quick and the others were slow. Since Jax started showing abstraction signs after being made a vegetarian for that one adventure.
What if he was a bad guy tho
@johnfrancisgillman6806yeah, he keep messing with minds, and that leaves scars. Although I think Jax is loosing it's mind mainly because of the loss of his friends in the circus and maybe what his real life was. Caine messing with his mind and being a vegetarian maybe was the last straw
I still want to think it has a better explanation that AI being actually a mind killer 💀
@johnfrancisgillman6806 You're onto something. Like adding and removing mods without cleanup in Skyrim, garbage data builds up until the corruption of your save. If their consciousness were flashed as programs, incremental fucking with them by an inexperienced hand would add up. Save don't run no mo'. We already kind of knew abstraction was the corruption of playerdata, now we have a clearer view on the how.
Edit: Strong emotion or connections to something incredibly personal when the registry to it has been edited would inevitably cause errors.
Abel genuinely being there in earlier episodes must mean that Caine either planned this thing waaaaaaay in advance or he just mind controlled his ass at the end (if he can really do that that easily)
He probably started doing it thanks to Kaufmo (since he was obssessed to escaping)
Id say it was most likely the latter. Hes clearly able to control minds, whos to say he isnt effectively omnipotent and present here too?
Even worse we all believed that whole story as well, that shows how hard is to be in that Circus
on everyone's soul we gotta kill the ai
It has to be the latter. Otherwise this whole episode was absolutely pointless
I just realized that as Gangle and Zooble mentions Kinger about Able, Kinger has no idea who they're talking about and he's still in his pillow fort, massive foreshadow that it was all just an adventure Caine made up
WAIT THAT'S TRUE!
Able does outright say that he's using a name he just came up with for drama earlier.
Could that mean the C & A company potentially doesn't even exist? Kinger would have to recognize that name
Not only that, but Able himself refers to Kinger as “Kinger” when the two of them should’ve been close colleagues
Yeah! And he was probably going to tell Pomni it wasn't real/possible before he came out of his fort and forgot.
I love the detail that Abel speaks in a slightly different tone than the others, since he was never human. The unnecessary pauses in sentence, like:
"He's probably in his office."
"Planning adventures."
"I'll explain more.."
"Once we're in the room."
First, it seems like it's to add emotion or suspense. But you also notice that it is EXACTLY how Caine speaks. Pretty cool stuff.
I like the detail that in the Chinese room, Abel bringing up Caine and how he can’t leave with them was probably an attempt to make them feel guilty about leaving behind the Circus.
Oooooo you are right, and the fact that kinger would have told everyone the truth since he's the first there so he mde up the fight.
Search up on google about the Chinese room
SPOILERS!?I HAVENT WATCHED IT YOU $$$(#.dang it i forgot the circus filter is on
Yup, also I love the fact that probably Caine saw all that, saw that everyone ignore that part, but he only realized it at the end of the adventure.
I think Abel might've been real, and the one Caine killed was a fake. That or maybe he made it so that he mind controlled Abel to act like an NPC?? The only reason i think that might not be true is because of the locket. But maybe Caine also made a fake locket and replaced the image with a hotdog? Because Abel KNEW something about Kinger. However, maybe that was Caine not wanting Kinger to know anything. IDK
you're telling me we have to wait another few months with THAT ending!?!?
How many episodes are left?
I'm crashing out rn😭😭😭
IKR WHYYYY
IM GONNA CRASH OUT ISTG
@Kamina.D.Fierce 2 episodes left since there’s only 9 episodes in total
in the fast food episode, didn't caine mention motivation being what his adventures lacked? he probably realized an exit was a GREAT motivation for an adventure
Wasn't the implication at the end of this episode that literally ANY mention or appearance of a way out was just this adventure? If that's the case then the "exit" Kaufmo saw was part of this adventure too, and Caine only used Abel now because of the awards show and realising no-one likes him
And also btw abel voice at 30:06 is different unlike others.. so it could be that is a different abel and caine kept him somewhere or manipulated his mind to act like an NPC
@Subpar1O1If we are to believe the first episode's ending shows us the real world, the "Macroverse" stuff might not be fake after all. It's just that Caine is basically writing a stage play based on what little he knows of the world beyond the Digital Circus, so what is real and what's not might be getting lost in the mix.
He probably just thought this was an incredible source of motivation to entertain them, and because he's an AI, he didn't realize he was wasting their hopes and dreams for escape. He just completed the task.
Well, regardless, it will be difficult for Caine to use the "finding an exit" excuse to drive everyone back to the virtual game after that.
They might become suspicious of each other and turn on one another, or band together to freeze Caine.
Caine has actually revealed the "office" Pomni found in the 1st episode; he's very interested in that area. If Pomni can use this, she might be able to threaten or coerce Caine into helping them find the real exit.
As soon as I saw how Caine was acting when Jax was asking to talk over dinner. I immediately knew that something was up. He has NEVER acted like that as far as I’ve seen.
The ending was confirmation he really is messing with their minds it was pure light and Kinger remembered the first abstraction. I love the twists and turns of this series so much.
Pomni:"he's not a npc"
Subtitles:"{npc}: yes"
lol
Then there’s the constant ‘human noise’ which makes it obvious
Lol why is that actually funny
I just realized every glitch show is ending in a sad way like smg4 to this day we don't know what ends next
@Pestprobablyinfected But SMG4 didn't end in a sad way, welp it was sad for the fans mostly, but it was a good ending for everyone in the universe.
Digital Circus on the other hand...
So, I guess our fandom will be divided between "there is a way out and anyone who gets close is abstracted by Caine" and "there is no way out and Caine just keeps fucking with us"
OHHHHH that's how it'd be divided. I was so confused about that
I think there's a way out, I just think that no one in the fanbase is even close to figuring out the answer, that gives this series a lot of One Piece vibes and I am absolutely here for it the thrill of not knowing how a story is actually going to end is so exhilarating.

Adobe-g2w that’s what we call: DELUSION!!!
@TerrorTime666 what about what kinger said in 20:06
Bro I feel like songs from ride the cyclone is gonna start playing
If the adventure was all orchestrated by Caine, this implies that all the things Abel said about Kinger are all subconsciously what Caine thinks of him. Kinger was too knowledgeable and it threatened Caine, thus making Kinger “crazy” to keep him trapped with everyone else
I hope this being top comment doesn’t end up spoiling it for anybody but also that’d be really funny if it did
Also figured it might’ve been an adventure based on the fact Abel kept saying that Caine would be left behind.
YESSSS EXACTLY. I also still think the Caine and Abel thing might have some meaning but idk what. Kinger being Abel’s coworker, idk man there are so many new theories floating in my head, I need some read string 😂
Bro is 4 minute and have so much like?
Good theory, does explain his distaste of Caine suggesting that the "good" Ending was for them to choose to stay rather than leave. Perhaps he never wants to let them go at all and keep them as his permanent test subjectsto serve his programming for
That and if they did go, his programming would completely malfunction with no reason to exist and would die alone since he can't leave with them as he mentioned through Abel
Kinger stopping to even think about the validity of Abel’s escape is at least proof he knows more than he lets on.
him saying "that doesnt make sense" in response to an escape plan highly implies theres no escape possible
He knows too much
@sapnupua5 Or if there is, it wouldn't be the way Abel explained it. I do think there is a way out and Kinger knows about it, otherwise Caine wouldn't have added the insanity modifier to him. Caine is trying to prevent him from talking.
@sapnupua5 see i thought that too but that's not how he says it, he says "huh? leave the circus? how would you... no, that doesn't make sense", possibly meaning that the specific way he was thinking of didn't make sense, not the idea itself, it sounds more like what he was thinking didn't make sense
@DazzlingGalaxy kinger probably knows they are like digital copies of whoever put the headset on. "THEY" took the headset out and left. whats in the circus are their copies and they simply cannot leave at all.
like kinger spends al the time in the dark lucid and he hasnt come up with anything despite knowing everyone else wants to leave. he knows its not possible and has already made peace with that. thats why he is never angry and just tries to help the rest of them when he can.
I knew something was up the moment Abel kept emphasizing the fact Caine was gonna be alone if they all left, he was trying to make them have sympathy for him so they’d never supposedly leave
I love nimona sfm istg
this somehow only worked on Pomni
Well it didnt work they were all still willing to leave him
I watched through the rest of the series for the first time a few days ago, and I was talking with a friend of mine about how Caine very much acts like his understanding of how humans work and what they like is entirely based on the entertainment they like. Everything that Abel said felt to me like the kind of story Caine would come up with if he based it on every other "escape the matrix" type story he could find.
i wonder if the reason Abel insisted on not getting Kinger involved is because Caine thinks Kinger knows something that would allow him to see through the lie that was the adventure?
Let's hope we get an episode 8
made a connection - in jax's room, he has that photo with ribbit and kaufmo where they're both holding hot chocolates with marshmallows and whipped cream on top. later, in caine's office, the adventure orb that jax is staring at is a snowy cabin adventure. i thought that was a very cool connection.
CRYING
1. Do you think that was the last adventure where Ribbit was alive?
2. I didn't expect Jax's room to be so pastel-pink inside, like AWWWW
@ZoolaAmazi that must be why he doesn't allow anyone in his room, I'm guessing this is his true self and obviously the person he is in the circus is pretty much the exact opposite lol
@ZoolaAmazi I think Ribbit may *still* be alive and aware in some fashion. Jax has beeen close to abstracting. Then he encounters a code abberration that makes froglike noises, reaches towards him with froglike hands, and when he touches it he has a psychadelic experience as if he had been affected by certain frog toxins, which notably features a frog-head pattern near the end. A seemingly therapeutic experience, no less, as if he had been drugged to reduce his stress. Is Ribbit still looking out for him when nobody else is around?
@gregorywalpole8442that’s just given me a theory idea. If you’ve seen the show wayward, they drug kids using a frog toxin which causes hallucinations… which is similar to what you’ve mentioned. What if abstraction is really just an extremely drugged up human with a similar form of poison? I’m not sure how it would be administered on the outside world to their bodies but it could be a form of poison
I think Jax’s almost-abstraction scene was really important because it shows us what kind of trap abstraction really is. Highly stimulating colors; comfortable shapes, such as Ribbit’s face; none of the clothes Jax complained about earlier.
Whatever causes it, Caine knows what he’s doing.
and he got his tail back lolol
That's probably because the abstraction was designed to keep them at bay, Caine implemented it as a threshold of insanity, once they go past that threshold they abstract, but it's not an error, it's so that they don't cause any trouble. That's why it looks like a very heavy acid trip. It's stasis, it's like they are being drugged. Similar to what the stupid sauce did to them.
@JoyfulWolfEyesbecause he remembered, and now he has it permanently again. Which sugests that they are self aware even if Caine is manipulating them.
I’ve never liked Caine but I I cannot believe this. this actually too far
That scene reminded me a lot of dissociation. I mean, dissociation is literally the mind trying to remove itself from the experience/d, and who knows what that would mean while in a program…
The fish guys at the start were foreshadowing the rest of the episode. The yellow fish is Caine, saying that if Pomni wants the treasure (the exit) she'll have to try better than that. Then, the yellow fish's brother appears (Abel), and declares himself a liar. It then turns out that the treasure chest is empty (there is no exit).
oh my God you're a genius be proud
wait that makes sense, actually
Yellow fish is just Charlie from Smiling Friends.
But take my upvote
Omfg you’re a genius!
Someone had already gotten to the treasure chest, before the fish had even realized it.
Bro i just realised that caine is trying its best to make them happy
