There is also an access tunnel that links with the First Dhaka Elevated Expressway and with Mass Rapid Transit; there is a network of roads to connect terminal-3 with the adjacent Dhaka-Mymensingh Highway. A total of 70% of the funding for the Third Terminal, which cost Tk21,300 crore, is coming from the Japan International Cooperation Agency. The contractor for the project is the Joint Venture of Mitsubishi Corporation, Fujita, and Samsung C&T Corporation (one package for the entire civil works). The consultant of the project is the joint venture of Nippon Koei, Oriental Consultants Global, and others. Renowned architect Rohani Baharin designed the three-story third terminal. Her portfolio includes Terminal 3 at #Changi_International_Airport, Terminal 2 at Wuhan Tianhe, and several other international airports.
