In 1986, Cheryl Pierson was a 15-year-old high school cheerleader who was being sexually abused by her father. She thought killing him would put an end to the torture. "The more I fought, the more violent it got, so at that point, at 15 years old, I just let him do what he wanted to do just to be done with it," she told Inside Edition. He changed his life for the better while incarcerated, got his GED, started helping other inmates learn how to read and write, and eventually obtained 3 college degrees while locked up, including a master's in social work. That just goes to show you situations don’t make the person. Seems like he turned his life around and made the best of it with what was handed to him. Thanks for the info. It’s a shame that things had to go the way it did and he had to lose 24 years of his life to save hers. The dad got off too easy. They should have gotten him locked up and let the general population give him his karma.

I don't know what to think... This is so wrong. The hitman sits in prison and the woman enjoys her life to the fullest. There could have been other ways to handle this but it could have been risky for her own life if the dad would have gotten really angry and killed her or revenge when he eventually gets out of prison
