I love your show. Have you guys ever considered doing a show in northern Illinois? The fox chain produces nice size walleye and there are tons of them in there. Or even the pecatonica river. Our long standing state record was broken twice from that river within 3 months of each other. 14 1/2 and 15 lbs. I fish that river quite a bit and it's pretty rare to see another person fishing. Would be awesome to see you guys do a show there.
I personally prefer to tie the main braided line to the fluorocarbon leader using a uni knot but you could use a barrel swivel. I always connect to the lure with a #2 cross lock snap.
Hi James! i absolutely love your show! I enjoy picking up tips for ice fishing.... i was wondering which ice fishing rod you guys prefer... the tuned up precisions or the quick tip precision, i am 14 and i love fishing for perch, i have tried your jigging tips, but the only way i get results is when i just leave the jig still, even then its just the 5 inch fish. i dont know if i am just missing the hits, or if my rod is not sensitive enough, so i am wondering which rod you guys prefer, i want a sensitive rod tip, but one with a really tough back bone for the tough pike, i was also wondering which reel you prefer hooked uo on each rod?
Absolutely. A Detroit River / Erie show is tops on the list for next spring. It just didn't happen this year due to time and distance but James and crew are committed to making it out there in 2015.
My guess is this is mid to late April? Opener in WI (if this is considered WI anyway) is usual May 4-8 and spawn is done by then. They indicated some walleye still spawning during filming.
InDepthOutdoorsTV Yep, especially with the temperature changes you guys experience, I can imagine those coming loose at any time. Good news is shimano is one of the few manufacturers where you can order parts without any effort. fishshop.shimano.com, looks like the part number is RD13282 if it's a 2500f.
Went fishing for the first time this season! It was only pond fishing and didn't spend too much time, but still felt nice reeling in the jigs!
I’m convinced & just ordered one of these lures.
I fish the Oconto break water a lot but never get eyes that big. That's for the vid and great show !!
Wow green bay really is on fire in this episode. Those are some pretty walleye.

smithlikeswessen thanks for the leads
Who would give this a thumb down? You guys make some awesome shows.
jealous people
People that don’t have a 300hp Yamaha
Do you tie in a barrel swivel in between? And do you use a quick snap or the direct. Love these lures.

Also what length do you guy's prefer for each of the rods, 36" or 32"?
holy walloping whopper walleyes batman....man those look fun, I'm chartreuse with envy!
How to you Connet line to ripping rap? And also how do you connect them to shiver / jiggin rap
I like to ask a question I stay in Toledo Ohio I fish the Maumee River can I catch walleye around March the mouth of the river leading into the bay
Can walleye see 10 lb braided line? What kind of line are they using in this video?
Great show, some supertankers for sure.
I’ve been looking for along time what episode and season is it at 0:18?😂😆
Is there a commercial for krank bait?
Walleyed again, love it, ever chased them on a fly rod?
No, not to my knowledge. Catching walleye on a fly rod consistently would be one heck of a challenge.
Great video, great walleyes. What kind of reels are they using?
Do you have to use spinning gear for this technique
ever thought about coming to Lake St Clair/Erie/Det River or do you guys stay local..minn/SD/ND/wisc?
Absolutely. A Detroit River / Erie show is tops on the list for next spring. It just didn't happen this year due to time and distance but James and crew are committed to making it out there in 2015.
Great episode!
some good tips
i think someone made a huge typo...47 deg C water temp...haha 116 deg F? haha, had to bring that up
How long do the fish run like this? Dates would be nice
Guessing early march to mid may, spawning season.

me again James! I was wondering if the crew has ever thought about coming to south east Ontario... like Kingston and Bellville area?
Evan Caird no
Awesome Walleye's what pound line and which brand were you using?
Both guys were using 20# Sufix braid which I believe is a 6# diameter.
The sufix Performance? and thanks
Frank KeeganOutdoors
Sorry to be unclear. Both guys use Sufix 832.
It's no problem don't worry about and thank you.
+InDepthOutdoorsTV I like using a heavier 832. With 10# test, you get a lot of "Wind Knots" because its pretty limp.
Farmin eyes again? Good stuff. You guys should hunt some brown bass when the season opens up.
Looks like you lost your cast control cap on the CI4?
Those little caps need some lock tite. They're always falling off never to be found again.

Were you using a monofilament or fluorocarbon leader with that 20# braid?
Ashton Sullivan either would work but we were using flouro.
What pound fluorocarbon were you using and how big of a leader?
Ashton Sullivan typically 12 to 15 pound test and approximately 4 ft long.
Thanks Great video
I'm just curious. If I go to Wisconsin and want to buy a 4 pound Walleye from a guy fishing by the lake, what would he charge me?
umaxen01 $10.99
If they're not keeping any they'd probably just give it to you
1drosefan $10.99 Hahaha... I'll get the penny back !
I want to fish with you guys so bad!!
Kyle Vincent hire the guide.....
