We are essentially seeing 15 years of problems surfacing at the same time. As hearings and investigations go on, we will hear more and more. My guess is we will continue to see new things pop up until January 2026
this actually just sounds like good post manufacturing quality control and transparency on behalf of Boeing. Both Boeing and Airbus resport on such post manufacturing issues if/when they arise.
It’s beginning to look like Sabotage!!!! There are 787 series in the skies at the moment than most airframes only second to 777s. It’s becoming ridiculous and I’m now having doubts as to the accuracy of these constant negative reports of this most versatile airframe; the 787 series
The CEO would be out front & centre claiming the FAA is ‘fake news’. O’Leary is the biggest Boeing cheerleader & wouldn’t be surprised if he gets happy anytime something bad happens to a new 737
Given the fact we haven’t heard any landing gear accidents of 787 so far (which it would for sure go on media), I am cautiously optimistic that this is a positive sign of transparency on Boeing/FAA side.
All assembly lines (no matter what product), they should take inspiration from a formula 1 pit stop where 1 individual has got only 1 thing to do when a race car enters the pitstop. This way they can concentrate on just the 1 thing / area and a significantly lower number of lapses occur.
I have given up SQ flights from Adelaide to Singapore Bangkok because they have removed the A350s and changed to suspect 787s. Now I am glad I did, no Boeing deliveries should be allowed until all is sorted once and for all.
I feel sorry for the technician that was put under so much pressure that they felt the need to cut corners. I hope they find a work/life balance somewhere that'll lead to an overall better quality of life.
How have they still not completely halted the assembly of 787s? If airbus was pulling this crap they would firstly be grounded then have its production line stopped. Why the double standard?
I tought that this expression "quality escape" was jumbo mambo speak from Boeing CEO Calhoun to describe Boeing various production issues. No doubt that term is savantly crafted to imply that Boeing indeed is comitted to quality, only sometimes there are small issues (escapes). This is a typical PR expression that actually maole no sense. So I am very suprised that the FAA would use the same Boeing PR spin in their report.
I get that "Quality Escape" is a widely used term. But I hate that soft language like that is used in aviation. Where is George Carlin when you need him😂
Boing should get back to Seattle, sack the bean counter Moneymen from MacDonnell Douglas, rebuild the engineering force, halt series production of commercial airplanes, concentrate on military aviation, and completely scrap and rebuild the commercial sector, review current model programmes, scrap the 737 completely and get that new 797 underway. Sure, they’ll take more losses in the short term (military side will keep paying the bills) and the 797 must be aimed at the Airbus 320 series and fully replacing the 757 successful combination with room for further iteration. It must be a “wide narrow body” with 3 PAX numbers models from the start. From the ground up. Otherwise, the Commercial Airplane Division is doomed. The Chynese are coming, and Airbus is ruling the skies.

at least the issue was identified prior to any actual faults appearing.

Now both the CSeries and Dreamliner could have landing gear collapses...
You think that’s bad, imagine if it was Ryanair using the 787 how much more landing gear inspections will be needed
Ryanair can’t really use it unlike the 737 which was made for hard and firm landing
The CEO would be out front & centre claiming the FAA is ‘fake news’. O’Leary is the biggest Boeing cheerleader & wouldn’t be surprised if he gets happy anytime something bad happens to a new 737
Informative coverage as always!
What a mouthfull - I wonder if there are any 'outtakes'?
C-Series now the 787. Come on this is getting ridiculous. There has been almost no good aviation news recently.
There was an AD for the A350, albeit years ago and likely solved, about a similar thing with the landing gear for missing pins
So maybe it's that more reporting is happening?
@@TankEnMate No but it's not just that. The crash in Sao Paulo and a lackluster Farnborough. It just seems a bit rubbish at the moment.

Any good news out there for Boeing ? Glad my next flight in 2 weeks is on a 350
Didn't check for cracks in landing gear parts during and after assembly? Gotta love people who try to beat airplanes together with hammers.
When will Boeing learn that by moving 787 facilities to South Carolina to save money, they've destroyed quality control.
the move wasn't the problem, they just would have needed to move/build an adequate QA as well.
Tell that to the accountants and MBA. They are focused on EBITDA.
Regardless of brand all aircraft requires regular preventive maintenance, not to tarnish a good quality dreamliners.
What’s next???🧐
How have they still not completely halted the assembly of 787s? If airbus was pulling this crap they would firstly be grounded then have its production line stopped. Why the double standard?
Would this be the same FAA who originally passed it with flying colors as well as the 737 MAX? hmmm all of a sudden they are the safety experts?
Idc, I still love the 787
Bet you'd think differently if you were on one where the gear punctured the fuel tank.

I guess these aircraft should lip sync for their lives and may the best airworthy queen win! 😂

How does the FFA just make "SUGESTIONS"??? And traced back to 1 (one) Technician?? A Scapegoat that will be well compensated.
Feels like the movie “Groundhog Day”….it just never ends for Boeing!
It will go on for quite a while. It's no surprise whatsoever.
Whatever happen to inspections by peer or supervisors? "Quality number none!"
Boeing really doesn’t care anymore about safety at all
😂 1000 787 in service.. did 1 had a collapsed gear ? No...
When will Boeing ever catch a break.
Quality and boeing should NEVER be used in the same sentence.

going to Mexico on a 787 lol
