Jos, try citronella oil if you are going out. Or if you can and if it is allowed over there after taking vit c, take vit b complex as well, ( vit c helps break down vit b complex) mosquitoes hate the smell that vit b emits from the body after ingesting it. I am also like you mosquitoes, insects loves me. It is annoying as hell
Use a green tea body spray smells nice and keeps them mosquitoes away.... i swear by it and everyone else ive told too!!

Your one of the only people who knows what it’s like to have eczema without having it 🤪 but then imaging little ants are just crawling all over your skin on top of the mosquito bites! Funnnnn

You can take hay fever, antihistamine medicine to help stop your body reacting so badly if you get bitten by insects.
Use a mosquito lamp to electrocute them to oblivion, leave it on as long as you want. Clean the dead bugs off by turning the lamp off and use toothpicks. You can find them on amazon.
Last year our area had a bad swarm of mosquitoes and we all had welts from the bites. We got a lamp and it helped slow down the onslaught. But other than that we had to wear long sleeves during summer last year. Be conscious of opening doors and open windows. Repair any screens. If you really want to keep them out of the house, you can get a screen door, but that's up to you.
If you wear thin clothes, mosquitoes will still get through. Trust me, I KNOW. It sucks
Go to costco get Hydrocortisone extra strength. It helps reduce swelling over time. Not that good in keeping away the irritation and itch for a long time, but helps heals the welts.
Also another theory on bites is that some people are more allergic to mosquito bites than others. My mom used to be one of those people where she would never get bites, but due to extreme stress and getting older, her skin changed and now when she gets a bite she gets an extreme reaction. So yeah, good luck to you Joslyn.
For the mosquitoes, i, from chile and here we have tons of them, a trick my mother taught me is to put a bit of apple cider vinegar in a cotton round and dab it in different parts of the body, once it dries it doesn’t smell and i swear, you wont get bites, im highly allergic so this is a miracle cure at least for me. Hope it works ☺️
My boyfriend also gets bit by mosquitoes WAYYY more than me. It's crazy. Same with his mom. He thinks it has to do with blood type.

Mosquitos hate citrus smells so that’s an option, like lemony and orange-y smells

Joslyn use Tiger Balm on your bites. It's amazing. If you have some Vicks Vaporub at home try that. You can get Tiger Balm from most big drugstores.
There’s types of outdoor incense that keep the bugs away!

I read that the concentration citronella candles put out isn’t enough to actually do anything, and that a good options is to put up a fan aimed at you because they’re bad at flying
I get bitten *A LOT* too! The second I go outside at dusk (ya know, on a scorching hot Australian summer day where you can’t step outside without spontaneously combusting & finally escaping outside for some relief) it’s open season on my body! I’m over it- I need any advice available to stop being bitten! But once the bites have occurred I agree with Joslyn, the cross with your nail in the bite works in a pinch if you’re out at a restaurant or something. Otherwise have some alcohol swabs at home, (hell, keep some in your purse!) at all times. When you get bitten take a swab & hold it on the bite for a few seconds & it takes the itch away...for good!
I'm sure someone said this already, but you can ship your Macbook to Apple and they'll fix it remotely!

Mosquito advice! I grew up in the south's swamp land and everyone uses Avon's Skin So Soft products or Johnson's Baby Creamy Oil (green tube) to prevent bites and use Chiggerex 2x (or store brand mock) for post care. Hope this helps!
And also picarden bug spray works too. It's made by different brands but picarden is what you're looking for as an ingredient
Get the “bug bite thing” on amazon and then put hydrocortisone or Benadryl cream and if you can’t not scratch put bandaids on which helps them not get irritated when your legs brush against things

Tea tree oil makes the bugs go away
There is a thing called the bug bite thing and it sucks out the poison that causes the itch from mosquito and it works right away!
I’ve heard bathing with peppermint scented soap works because they don’t like the mint smell. (I think Dr. Bronner’s has one) My best friend’s grandma swears by using creamy baby oil before you go out in the summer. I’m allergic to them so my bites blow up like balloons.🙃Hope this helps! 😂😂
I have never found anything that repels mosquitoes or relieves itching that well except something called a Bug Bite Thing suction tool. It would be ideal to not get bit, but stopping the itch is the next best thing. I use it as soon as I notice a bite.
I grew up with Mormon parents and I don't drink that Kool aid soooooo I was ALWAYS lying to them 🤷🏻♀️
I used to live in spain and used to be FULL of bites. I SWEAR by using the tree oil on them, the itch instantly goes. I don’t know the science behind it but it works!! Xxx
I'd be very interested to be outdoors with you Joslyn because I'm also the one who always gets attacked by mosquitos and literally everyone I'm with never gets bitten... So I'd like to see what happens when both of us are there. Would we both get attacked? Or would they choose just one of us? 😂

Post Bite:
- The X with your nail
- Benadryl topical cream
- Chalomine lotion
- The Bug Thing (amazon)
- Squeeze the juices out!

What the hell?? I just started watching this, got distracted because I had to entertain my dog, went outside, GOT BIT BY A MOSQUITO ON THE FACE, and then continued watching exactly when Lily said you never get mosquito bites on the face
Jocelyn!! Try AVON Skin so Soft body oil. You can get it on Amazon. I live in Oklahoma by a pond that is a mosquito breeding ground. Also I think I have a blood type mosquitos like! It works for me when gardening and grilling. They hate the smell of it. I think it smells really nice!

What helps for me with itching from mosquito bites is a gel with menthol.
I think the mosquito thing has to do with blood type, specifically the Rh (positive or negative), cuz my dad, brothers and I all have O+ and my mom has O- and mosquitos flock her but not us really
Thats legit me but with flea bites. I have so many scars on my lower legs/ankles from numerous flea bites but my mom wouldn't get bitten AT ALL. I never understood, and now I have permanent flea bite scars that'll haunt me forever hahaha
I have the same problem where all the mosquitos eat me up. I went to Cambodia and got over 100 bites on one hand (my whole body was covered though) and the other people with me barely got anything. There they were saying if you eat lemongrass that it repels the mosquitos. I noticed I got less bites when I had eaten lemongrass. But they make these bracelets that have scents to it that repel the mosquitos and those were AMAZING. They totally worked. I had to have one on each arm and leg but it made a world of difference.
Apply heat to the fresh mosquito bite! I use really hot (not hot enough to burn, obvi) water for like ten seconds. Some people like a warm spoon, things like that, but I think it's something to do with the heat deactivating the proteins in the mosquito's saliva?
I was told to eat more garlic. Apparently that helps with mosquitoes
Joss get a thermacell. It works anazing to protect against mosquitos around where've you're sitting
Dont eat bananas. Mosquitos apparently like people who eat bananas. I dont eat them and I still get eaten, like suuuuper bad sooo....???
I get eaten alive from mosquitos. Benadryl at night helps and I use cortisone throughout the day to help the itching, plus using a cold pack on it. The bites I get youd think they were spider bites because they get hard and grow to a point where, if the bite is on my calf, it'll take over my calf. But Benadryl to help you sleep through it and then cortisone and ice pack.
Vitamin B is suppose to help with Mosquito bite. I took them 2 weeks before my holiday last year and I didn’t get bite.

For repelling mosquitoes and other bugs, put peppermint essential oil on your neck, elbows, knees and ankles. Just a drop or two at each spot. I use it when I go scout camping because I am allergic to most bug sprays.
I have always had a problem with mosquitos in my country. The only thing that helps with bites is vodka. I pour vodka on towel and just hold the wet towel on bites and it helps with itching.
Vanilla is a natural mosquito repellant! Buy clear vanilla and rub a thin layer on your skin, and it smells good too! Works as well if not better as DEET.
Mosquitoes love your pheromones. But I also heard they tend to bite certain type of blood types more than others. I am O- and get bite quite a bit. Maybe my blood type produces more pheromones.
Once bitten, with your finger nail put a plus sign in the center of the bite to help with the itch.
Joslyn, my dad has gotten so many things from construction sites. He worked at many sites where the owners threw away perfect good things. My washer and dryer are from a site. I have had them for 4 years now, and they still work pretty well. One man's trash is another man's treasure

I bit by mosquitoes so often. According to 23andme, I am more likely to get more mosquito bites than others based on your genetics and other factors.

The ‘deep woods’ off spray is better than the other ones. And ‘after bite’ hurts like hell but does easy the itching a lot temporarily
There are mosquito bracelets on Amazon that emit a high frequency that keeps them away
I knocked a picture frame off the wall and it broke so before my mom got home I was able to find wood glue, glue it, left it dry and hang it back up before my mom got home from work
for mosquitoes: deets good but try not to put on heavy perfume or deodorant as they're attracted to it. also dont wipe sweat off because its sort of a natural repellent.
for after you get bitten: cold water rinse, Benadryl cream is a lifesaver (idk if you get it in the usa), the x's from your fingernail releases some of the itchy toxin thingies cause it opens it up!

I’m not sure if these are only in Australia but we have mosquito coils that you light and they the smoke/scent is a repellent

I am SUPER allergic to mosquitos too. The only thing you can do is those fun poisons or bug candles. Recovery? Use CBD creams or oils which will help with swelling and itching!

Jos!! I am a mosquito magnet too. I can be in a group of people and no one but me will be bothered. It's annoying! I think it is the smell of our blood though-- like a sweeter smell or something. You can use the bracelets that make ultrasonic sounds or something....also, citronella candles and bug spray 🤷🏼♀️

Well ladies since i am a mom of a 22 year old I'll share a lie I told my daughter and this one is sort of in defence of parents everywhere lol. Some lies are helpful ha ha ha. So my daughter's dad and his mom kept putting her in diapers so I planned for a time when they weren't going to see her and ummm I told her they don't make diapers anymore lol I then kept her out of the baby aisle for a long time. When she was about 4 she yelled mommy pointing at all the diapers in the baby ailse ha ha ha!!!!!

I'm so gullible too!! One time I got offered a piece of "edible tape" by a friend and I was super curious so I tried it.... Definitely wasn't edible.
I've been bitten on the face before it's not fun, and also a family remedy i use for bites is too wet your legs with water and put salt on the bites, it dries up the bite and stops the itching

We have a “lake” in our backyard so we get mosquitoes sooo bad, like we have to run into the house at night or else they swarm but the off backyard fogger spray kills them all within minutes for about 8 hours. Get yourself a can and spray the patio before hanging out and you should be golden
For bites try rubbing alcohol on a qtip or cotton ball and hold it on for 5-10 minutes to dry out the bite and neutralize the poison (i live in Phoenix, az and I get super bit up and bad allergic reactions to them)
I’m not sure how to prevent mosquito bites but they sell over the counter numbing cream that will make the bites stop itching. It’s literally a life saver. I have also seen on tik tok something that’s called “bug bite thing” that is supposed to suction out venom or saliva from bugs.
If you take b vitamins, that should help with mosquitos being attracted to you, and there are these silicon bracelets you can get that basically work like bug repellant but you don't need to spray yourself down

Eat more garlic, as odd as it sounds I swear by it! I live in Florida and we have a ton of mosquitos and I put garlic salt on everything and never get bitten.

For future reference Benadryl helps with the irritation of the bites. I live in city know for mosquitoes.

2:00 what I hate about Apple specifically is how, when my laptop broke, I was told we have to have an “Apple certified” (whatever that means) technician to look over the Apple device and fix it. What sucks is how limited these services were at the time and how long they take to fix it, it drove me crazy.

girl i’m allergic to mosquitos!! go to a dermatologist.. they gave me a creme and it’s amazing use it three times a day. in between i use cortisone. they have a stick with aloe vera. it’s great.
also get a citronella candle! for a natural bug repellent i put citronella oil in water in a spray bottle. ik this sounds excessive but i’m allergic and i get welts and it is extremely painful so in my opinion it’s worth it!!
