Good video, but i think theres more to it the certain teams playstyle and practice being stressfull - and i doubt theres a single IGL out there that wont call on the fly, but having a base to start from makes this easier. I think this is alot more about everyone on the team wanting the same, aiming for the same goal and understanding what they are willing to put in, and what they expect in return - Our old line-up had this as a issue, some players wanted to prac alot and others wanted to prac less - and that hits a team harder then a loss - because all of a sudden you arent moving in the same direction. Meta change or strats, or what ever you want to put it to - i think the most important thing for a team is that everyone is on the same page. theres no easy way there, im glad you guys can make it this far consistantly by focusing on having fun, but other teams wont be able or even want to, for me results = fun, i get my joy from winning not from playing, that might sound sad - but thats my only drive, and i think theres other players with the same mindset.
IGL's need to make the game fun for the team too, need team bonding instead of having BIG EGO's in teams thinking they are better than others so they dont need to train or put in effort during practise's. St0rm-x I'd disagree, the IGLs Job isn't too make you have fun, it's too help you and the team to win. Tell a nfl team captain that you just wants have fun and you'll be told to find your own out. There's no need for partipation medals. You've clearly got some beef with the way you write your comment.
i aint got no beef with anyone, past is the past. this isnt no sport. its a game. Games are supposed to be fun, everyone finds fun in their own way. i have fun in playing the game because i enjoy the experience of playing 5 vs 5, if teams are going to disband just because they lose or cant make the finals where is the fun in that? gBots are clearly having fun. They used to be really good at one point, but now they are slacking and not getting results. but they are still together having fun.
This is not a chess game. Even with a book full of strats you can't adapt to every situation. You can call it "core" strat. I'm calling those "EV+" strategies (coming from poker). Those strat, if the defenser don't do anything special, will have a huge win rate. This is why we won S2 by winning 16 maps on 19. Game by itself can be boring, especially when it's really bugged and giving an advantage to some players (low ping one). Also, you can have a lot of fun with a strat book, depending of the way the leader apply those strat. I've been to strict. I'm here to win. I feel no fun in losing.
