@johnevered9640 I did not mean the busy street life, I know the area. But knowing that someone might come directly into a room while you sleep.. I just wouldn't feel safe, especially it still being London, not some quiet small village where everyone knows everyone and no one breaks in. But that can be just me and my anxiety, and others who agreed..
3.5 million for a house with little natural light, an apartment-sized kitchen/dining, small bedrooms, no garden or yard, no garage and not even a parking space, and parties right outside my door....no thank you!
Every single one of these sorts of videos has a load of comments like this - just needlessly whining. Let’s have a look at your little gaff, Veruca Salt.
That's one cute mews house! Jas always does an awesome job presenting, including her cutest giggles! Tom and Jas are the ultimate estate tour power couple!
That top floor best fits a girl's room...and that snuggle room is her play room. It's a beautiful home aside townhouses mew's houses are my favorites too ♥♥♥♥ Thanks jas
Paying for location over property! The plant room could be in the basement and allow the top floor to be a full master suite, as the one they have is smaller than some hotel rooms, people who can afford this could purchase for the night! Or make the second room a small study and the top floor the guest area with a small bathroom. Also there is a Doctors office at the end of the Mews so it's not private or gated off like Kensington Park Mews. Although it's at the end and private...which sadly means people can spend hours breaking in without being noticed, as I have seen happen in Mews many times over the years! So Let's hope the security is fully secure. All in all a good property, but the layout needs work and adjusting as it's set up for a couple mostly.
We had friends who lived in a mews house near Hyde park corner. Very cute house. But we didn’t stay there as they didn’t have a space to put us. 3 bedrooms but one was theirs, one for their toddler and another for his office, he was a magazine Journalist. Sold up as soon as they could and moved to Norfolk. Sold it for just under 2 million. Got a beautiful detached house in South Norfolk.
@@markwhiting4322Not everyone entertaines in the kitchen. Some of us have evolved from the one'room cottages the peasants used to have. I don't like people underfoot while I'm cooking. I like an enclosed kitchen......big enough 4ME.😊
I was a guest in a mews in Bayswater. The community was delightful and in the summer it was pleasant intermingling with unlimited champagne. Not your typical street party. Most work at least 12 hour days every day.
I live in a mid terrace house probably worth £100k. I have a drive & front garden & my private space is accessed through French doors down into my wildlife garden with fish pond & separate wildlife pond. I know which property I would rather have.
£100k for a terraced house???? you must be in some crappy part of the city/country. Your paying £2 million for the central London location and the history of these mews. I'm guessing your house isn't round the corner
I love it makes me wish I had lottery funds now. I know the neighborhood well as lived at Bayswater. My only issue is the security I know some streets have a security gate. Not sure about street parties either. But love the amount of space and how functional it is. I love all the textures and furnishing.
Beautiful home and gorgeous renovation. For the city, location and the quality of the home it’s actually not that excessive a price tag. (Though I suspect it probably would be out of reach for most of us however, we can admire! ) Probably more suited to adults - single/couple - if it were to be a permanent or main home. Not entirely suitable for children - sharp edges, glass, and long drops into light wells. But for one parent entertaining their teenage kids over a weekend or thereabouts - ideal! Great presentation too by Jasmine.
The better way to look at mews houses is more of like a hypercar or piece of art work. Practicality, space, parking and all other criteria used to measure value of regular housing doesn't really apply here. It's more history and nostalgia 😊
Interesting. I'd never really thought about the origins of these houses, and how this explains why lighting them properly is so key. Close community is a plus, however, I probably prefer purpose built houses, especially from Victorian or Edwardian period!
I always want to see these houses BEFORE the interior got ultra modernized. The house and the location are amazing, if I had the money I would have to do major renovations
Ditto. Why do people buy a classic, only to destroy what makes it special and gives it its distinctive charm? Just build something new and modern but leave the classics to those who appreciate them.
@@leilal8053 Agreed!!! If needed I would think updating the plumbing and maybe some wiring (if it's really old). So many interiors have been ruined beyond repair...Painted WOODWORK is never cool in my book...
Nice home and presentation (though a long video), but it's missing the floor plan. Without the floor plan we can't imagine the house please put it in future videos :)
I would definitely have a big kitchen with dining in the basement and a sitting room on the entry level. Master bedroom on the top floor with a bathroom in place of the snuggle room and a study / home office where the external staircase is leading to. Then perhaps it could be worth c.£3 M
No drive, or parking available, no garden and no natural light. It looks like they have the lights on all the time so the electricity bill must be horrendous.
@@andyhall7032 unless you intend on needing to drive somewhere. Then, not so good. School runs, large grocery shop trips. Friends and family coming to visit etc etc etc
Wow! I thought I lived in a ridiculously over priced area in California in Carmel Valley near Carmel by the Sea but that little place with the little kitchen and little bedrooms without a yard, I don’t think so.
A small kitchen is fine for a house that is staged like a showroom with empty drawers. But a full set up dining table. It doesn’t look like anyone lives there (not 24/7) and if it is occupied then they probably have enough choice to eat out in London. And I guess the stairs to the bedroom could be used for guests or you can rent out that room.
3 front accesses for ease of break-ins, cut off living area with glass so light can get to basement? Not a kid friendly home. What is cost unfurnished as design not for everybody? This re-do missed its mark. Lost opportunity sadly. A/C in “some rooms”? Sounds uncomfortable in summer. No yard, no taste. So sad.
Nice house, but the dinning room looses a lot of space for the ligh entrance. Maybe there could be some kind of glassfloor. I don't like the decor, sorry.

To have staircase directly from the street to your bedroom in a big city - pretty hard to calmly fall asleep I'd say...

I don't know why they didn't extend the kitchen across the whole wall. The space for the chaise lounge doesn't seem to serve a purpose.
Yeah, it’s small, it’s expensive, not a lot of natural light, but it’s a mews house in London! But the decor, love it! Very nice!
