A couple of things come to mind here regarding the business owners or managers responsible for these ‘Ella’s; 1. Weather knowledge, 2. Safety, 3. The cause and effect of poor preparation, those getting blown out to sea could cause off shore damage to vessels and marine life, 4. Anchors for the umbrellas, OR 5. Bring them in and secure them prior to the storm (see #1 above), and finally, 6. Charging an astronomical fee for the use of these umbrellas and having them blown away is karma on the business.

@@maxmannella4073 first I'm not a bro!! bro. Nothing stupid about it. You do it with tents, canopies, etc. Seen where people have gotten hit by beach umbrellas that went flying with a slight wind.
A woman was impaled and died during one of the storms last year in Rehoboth or Dewey
That happened in Virginia Beach. It was her birthday and also her wedding anniversary 😢

Tbh, I'm from Texas, moved up here a few years ago after I'd finally had enough and so far, I only miss the length of the growing season there. I can't grow peppers or tomatoes in the mountains but berries do alright. It's a learning process. Lots of indoor plant chaos. 😜
