Gavin Heintz In Halo canon, Reach was reterraformed after 2553. So, the planet didn’t die completely. In fact, there are a number of planets in Halo lore that are re-inhabited after being glassed.

@@kingjohn6519 a year late but the Halo wiki says as of halo 5 only a small portion of the African continent is still uninhabitable due to the glassing and the UEG being cautious about starting large-scale reconstruction efforts in the area due to fears that some Flood spores may have survived the glassing.
The city of New Mombassa itself, however, is being reconstructed as a part Project Rebirth, which aims to rebuild areas damaged by the Covenant during the Invasion of Earth. That’s actually where the monument to the fallen is at the end cutscene in Halo 3, so presumably the reconstruction is going along nicely.
The image on my head of Jun sneaking cliffside and suddenly Six and 3 other guys start shouting and spinning the LASO alarm is so funny I can't stop laughing imagining that.

yeah I was about to also say Long Night of Solace would have been better. Like the vehicles have shields how to you get back shields in sabers. Do you just run into the enemy and hope you don't die?
S B the shields for the Saber recharge on Laso. This is coming from someone who completed it on Laso
@@SB-og3sl Currently working on Long Night of Solace (Reach is the only other game I still need to beat solo LASO for), and thankfully, the Saber shields don't follow the black eye skull. They get taken away quite easily, but they'll recharge if you let them, which makes the Saber sections quite easy, especially if you stay behind Anchor 9 and let the AI do the fighting for you. It's the section between landing on the Corvette and the invincible Pelican turret at the end that's a real prick to complete

But on the other hand, if it's actually that bad, the answer's simple.
It will be multiple nights.

It’s a rollercoaster of emotions, joy and relief from checkpoints, desperation sadness and anger from all the deaths. It all comes together to form a masterpiece. I’m loving every minute of it lol!
I honestly thought with "The Longest Night Ever", they were doing Long Night of Solace.
If it takes them 3 hours to do Nightfall, Long Night of Solace is going to be an Extra Life length stream with the spaceship section.
That and the refuel area where there's a general and 3 ultras. Not to mention everything else lol

I love Gavin's refusal to run away from enemies he knows he stands no chance of beating
It's actually smarter to commit when 1v1ing an elite. If your first melee doesn't kill and you survive their first melee, circling around to their back for a second smack is safer than running away, in which case they just gun you down.

@@projectpsion I mean honestly it would not be interesting AT ALL to see an actual LASO run (meaning using the optimal paths) since that would involve skipping about 70% of the game. But yeah, it would be nice to see them know the skips exist, try to fight it out strategically then if that is just not working do the skip instead of spending 3 hours on one level.

It is actually really interesting watching people try to skip things in LASO without knowing the skip paths. Seeing people just figure it out is great, seeing people bash their heads against a brick wall...less so.

I think the best part about this is showing just how many different ways a Halo level can go. Enemies can choose to attack in half a dozen different ways, and it really effects how you progress.
Gavin’s right the hardest destiny strikes are the nightfall strikes, and they were near impossible in early destiny 1

This really made me appreciate armor-lock and hologram, the two AA's I almost never used during my Reach days. I was a sprint and drop shield player. They really are like classes!

The soldier’s names are always randomized each time going thru a level. The level exodus I’ve had many encounters with the 4 different Rooster Teeth names for marines

It's also very luck based to try it that way, there are so many things that need to happen perfectly just for them to actually make it through without dying. What you don't see are the 100+ hours of them attempting to do that successfully
@Jeff M imo, speedrunning is super boring on something that resets you/resets itself. To each their own though

To Ryan, enemies only fall for holograms if you deploy it out of their sight. If you deploy it while they are looking at you then they ignore your hologram

I like how they get mad at Gavin for prolonging the level like 10 min and Michael dies when they literally were done and prolonged the video an hour
You know, if someone doesn't have shields but they have full health, you can just shoot them in the body so they can grab a health pack.
The Camo Elites were nicely silhouetted when in/against the bubble shield - no one seemed to notice, or maybe they didn't think it was useful.
I feel bad for them, but I'm enjoying watching them spend so much time in a Halo title. Plus, it's really satisfying when they beat the level.
Fun fact: This level gets speedran on LASO in about 3 minutes.

well this one you can ignore almost everything and when you get to the tower part you can glitch out of the area ignoring that and no enemy will spawn after the glitch.
Watch a guide video and you’ll be able to do it in like 6 minutes first try

I would like that as well, but it's a stupid amount of work for a series that only has moderate success.
I think Jeremy is keeping count. They said it was just to much unnecessary work for a series that isn't as popular.

It really seems like the others can only hear Ryan like half the time he's talking. They ignore what he's saying so often.
Ryan also often just runs into fights when 3 others are trying to plan something, that's why they ignore him. For ex, when gavin was trying to go invis and kill the 3 elites, ryan was just running up the stairs

A 3hr video for a mission that can be done in arround 4-5 minutes by just hauling ass, along with a bit of a cheeky glitch through a wall with a forklift haha. Cant wait to see how long 'Long Night of Solace' will take.
To answer Gav, Beam Riffles are like snipers, but Focus Rifles are like the Sentinel Beams from halo 3.
