Welcome to the first video from my Disneyland 2019 series. I visited Disneyland in California as part of my 30th birthday celebrations.
I flew with Norwegian in economy from Gatwick airport and started at the Sheraton Inn in Anaheim for the first night before moving to the Kings Inn.

The iconic "moldy water" smell..lol. I love that you mentioned this, because I was totally thinking that on my last Disney trip. It does smell strange, but that ride is so classic and awesome, I don't think anybody minds!

As someone who's planning their first trip to Disneyland which will happen to be a solo trip if it really happens, I'm very happy watching this, and I'm only at the intro! ❤️

Hey Charlotte ♥ I just found your channel a week ago and I'm now watching allllll of your vlogs, one after another :D I really like your style of vlogging. And by the way: I think it's so cool that you flew by your own and went to Disney all by yourself :) even if just for a day or two.. I've never been to Disney on my own / travelled alone and I can imagine that would be such a cool and new adventure. Your trip to Disneyland this year was a wonderful way to continue your 30th birthday celebrations. I also enjoyed your Italy vlog where you went with Adam and spent your actual birthday, especially the chairlifts in Capri.
Batuu looks incredible. I also get sensory overload such as becoming overwhelmed by loud music in a shop for example. Other parts of this vlog I liked were the Matterhorn and It's a Small World rides and the Fantasmic clips.

I'm saving up to go to Disneyland next year for my 18th birthday and this is really helping me know what to expect because I've never been to Disneyland (or even America tbh)
I just arrived in Anaheim and am currently doing that stay awake for as long as possible thing so I can adjust to the time difference! The perfect accompaniment

There is also a pet cemetary at Haunted Mansion in Disney World, it is in the exit 😊. My favorite ride.

I don’t think they sell them anymore! I only found it in one store - art of animation in DCA - I bought it when I went in March, but they weren’t there anymore when I went in June! I want to upgrade my phone but get the same case 😂

Just starting my research as headed to Disneyland for the first time next April. I’ve been to DLP many times and WDW a few times - do you have any recommendations or must-dos specific to California?
Bromine is the stuff that makes that lovely smell in Pirates. I wish someone would make a candle scent of the pirates ride haha. Can I ask, your flight from UK to California. Was that a direct flight? Thanks

How does the ssss work? I didnt know that existed!
If you're travelling to the USA you may get SSSS status. It stops you from checking in online and you get extra checks at the airport including right before you get o the plane. I had another bag search and was swabbed around my waste band and hands. It can be totally random - I had a new passport that i'd veery flew into the US with before and had two estas because I'd renewed my passport - maybe that was it but you really never know!! XX

Did you use WiFi in the parks? I’m going in February and worried about using the Disneyland app and using up all of my phone data x
The WiFi is intermittent and I relied on my data a lot but they do have it and it does work in most areas xx

Not thick at all. You get as many fast passes as you can fit in. We averaged about 7 or so a day xx

Love the vlogs but that max pass is scary, really hope they don’t bring that sh*t to Orlando.
I don’t think it will be making its way over any time soon. It’s actually quite useful in Disneyland and I prefer it to a full paper system. Saves running round the parks to get your fast pass x
