What an ending and great karma xD But honestly so many of those clips were him making issues out of nothing from cutting mini roundabouts to not looking far enough ahead and speeding into problems making it worse
Knowing the UK roads, the guy videoing is causing some of these issues himself, and some of them aren't even issues at all
came to say exactley that
100% this - he's driving aggressively as opposed to sensibly and putting himself in half of the situations just for a video clip. I suspect he's rapidly heading for a triple heart bypass
Typical dash cam driver - “I’ll save that one”
So true. My ex brother in law set up a Facebook page of his dash am footage moaning about the other drivers when most of the time he was a fault. Proper muppet he is 😂
No he isn’t
I wasn’t expecting the old bill at the end….classic 😂😂😂
In a few video the dashcam driver was at fault. He often doesn't anticipate the road ahead... he also has a problem negotiating mini-roundabouts.
Totally agree, he's incredibly inconsiderate and seems very unaware of the space around him
Yeah, I'd be embarrassed to upload these. He even cuts the same mini roundabout twice with the same result.
speeding up in the middle of a mini roundabout and cutting across it just to be able to honk someone who went through it perfectly acceptably. hes genuinely the most dangerous road user in any of these clips just looking to cause conflict.
Electric scooters (unless part of a registered hire scheme with registrations and insurance) are illegal in the UK. Not allowed on the roads or pavements. That doesn’t stop them though
There are actually 31 areas that on a trial basis e scooters are legal to ride on the road within the UK as long as you're within one of those areas, many of which are entire cities.
I don't really see why though, just cause people are scared of them shouldn't mean the people who can actually ride them suffer.
Yea it's ridiculous. My mate kept getting stopped off the police for riding his scooter to pick his kid up from school and not being insured, but when he tried to insure it, he couldn't. Yet another mate got burgled at the same time (roughly) and the police never showed up. Priorities are all wrong in this country.
We had the scheme here a couple of years back.
Numerous injuries and sadly even a death.
Needless to say, the scheme was scrapped.
@101steel4yeah and most places in the UK who had schemes had scooters abandoned all over the place. I think they were all more trouble than they were worth
The guy driving the car is not a good driver. He is supposed to anticipate the actions of other road users and drive accordingly. He wasn't doing that at all.
yeah kinda agree, he defo causes some of these issues worse, tbh he might be known for it.. lmfao but ye some of this is oblivious out there.
9:22: This is why Ben is needed more; that chemistry is gold. hahaha
2:35 "He is on the wrong side of the road because he is on the right side of the road."
Not many countries in the world this sentence actually makes sense. 😏
8:30 Electric scooters are illegal over here, you can't ride them on the pavement, a road or a bicycle lane, but it's still legal to own one
"Maybe this guy's the problem in some ways". Nailed it. He's clearly just looking for content, but half the time the other drivers aren't doing anything wrong, or he's in the wrong himself.
4:48 what you’re missing here is that in the uk you don’t undertake, ever! Lane discipline is huge there. Not like the USA or Australia where you basically pick a lane and drive in it: there it’s kept left at all times
context man, it depends. now i aint saying just blindly do it but dont just sit behind a truck just cuz of this or near left of it. alot of this is just the guy driving being a drama queen as someone else said in the comments. theres always idiots on the road wherever u go.
Nothing hits harder than the passion 🤏 of British road rage swearing. The rage in the video was mild.
The swearing here isn't so bad, I had a step sister in Ohio that would make you blush every time she opened her mouth.
17.15 The driver was right to be cautious as that driver allowing the never may have changed lane rather than slowing down for the merging driver .
🤗❤️🏴
😂😂 When you said "maybe this guy's the problem", I'd literally just thought the same thing!! The driver was pretty calm though compared to some I've seen 😂
The epic side eye from your brother at 9:28 when you said you wouldn't cause anything life threatening 🤣🤣🤣
So funny, proper brotherly reaction! :)
Haha I saw it 😂
Around the 17:00 mark, the reason the car in front was cautious and braking is because in the UK, when vehicles enter the motorway from a slip road, we normally move out the way so people can get on the motorway quicker and smoother. So they thought the middle car would enter the fast lane... Because they normally would. They are probably a new driver.
Yep
That's it exactly. They were worried the car on the left would make a last minute turn.
Facts! 💯
The most depressing jobs in the world would have to be installing the turn indicators on BMW, Mercedes and Audi cars knowing they will never be used. You need to watch Dashcam Owners Australia. I love your work. Please keep putting up new material.
Oh jps I have a bmw and I am an ex driving instructor. I don't go over the speed limit either. I have a bmw because it's not a car, it's an out of body experience 😂
The look on Ben's face when Joel says he can drive Joel's car... :)
BTW guys in Europe 'Audi' rhymes with 'howdy'
Audi is pronounced the same way as rowdy
I feel sorry for the wife.
40 years of driving in Brighton and I'm glad I never met this nob 'ed.
Charging into situations to blow his tiny horn for effect, All of these could be avoided in the narrow busy streets of the City.
The reviewer makes things worse when he dosn't know what's going on.
..
He's driving in Brighton and the surrounding area. As a northerner who visits friends living there I have to say that I begin to get scared nearing the M25 and it just becomes a white knuckle ride after that until I get back north. 😂😂
Yep a mouthy southy! LOL
You have obviously never tried to drive into Leeds 😂
@susansmiles2242 LOL yes, I'll second that!
@susansmiles2242 my nephew was referred to a specialist in Leeds a while back and I offered to take him down for those appointments. We did maybe four trips in all and I have a dickhead driver story for each one. I don't plan on driving in/through Leeds ever again 😂
Road rage in the UK: *swearing non stop*
Road Rage in America: "honey get the glock, this guy just cut me off"
Audi driver here. The laugh is that the indicators are optional extras as people never use them 😂😂
Joel, love the interaction between you and Ben. Get him to join you on your next trip to the U.K.🇺🇸🇬🇧
4.34 that manoeuvre is called “ under taking “ , we only pass ( legally ) on the right hand side 🤗❤️🏴
I drive an Audi and I do let other people use my roads at the same time as me.
The shock on your faces at the wifes reaction at the end lol.
Definitely need to see both Ben and Jps driving
I love the way Ben laughs at Joel…Ben is the ideal young brother, not letting his older sibling get too full of himself…and his perfect smile speaks volumes
How the hell did this man pass a driving test?? He breaks so many rules of the road himself!!!
This video is tame compared to some others.
Half these issues are caused by this idiot driver just being impatient and not anticipating situations.
so many of these he should be anticipating well ahead of time. And then he's sat in a middle lane on a motorway with a completely empty lane on his left, reduces the capacity of the road
I saw Brighton in a few of his clips.... it is a nightmare place to drive.
Half the clips are him being a drama queen over normal driving.
Wrong!
and the other half are him causing the problems in entirety
Gotta watch absolutely fabulous comedy in eighties
I love that you've got Ben there! It brings fun to your video 😅
Great video guys, Joel's face when Ben suggested he drive Joel's car and Joel film it all from the passenger seat 🙂
13:34 Your getting better Joel, almost perfect 😂😂
The guy was in the wrong so many times.
@malkakynatas8389 driving in the middle lane and not overtaking in the first few clips. I don't need to go any further.
@malkakynatas8389 rule 264 highway code the left-hand lane on a motorway is the only lane you should be driving in unless you are overtaking. The only reason to be in other lanes would be when they are a specified route which will be indictated by the line dashes being shorter. Want to actually provide a counter argument?
malkakynatas8389 so many clips where hes in the wrong, you're not very intelligent. one where he literally speeds up in the middle of a mini roundabout and cuts across it just so he can honk at another car which went over it perfectly fine. if he were to take the mini roundabout regularly and not try to make everything a conflict then he wouldnt have been anywhere near that other car. hes the most dangerous driver out of any of these clips because he goes just trying to cause conflicts everywhere.
No he isn’t
Well! He was too nice to be on the road😊 "guy - dude - really"
One more thing. The 3or 4 lane motorway. The first lane is actually the Driving lane, the others are over taking lanes. ❤
Although we are supposed to remain as calm as possible under pressure when driving to avoid further accidents, it is easier said than done. I'm someone who swears a lot to myself so that i get rid of the nervous energy but still concentrate on driving after( in my case).
My teacher used to say, "we have to do our best driving, but more importantly, ALWAYS expect the unexpected."
Even though everyone would love to see how your brother does with his driving, dont put him under pressure. He'll need to gain onfidence first. Negative messages dont help - even though you are probably just teasing. Maybe when/ if he's ready.
I find it funny in the video, assuming its the same people, that the woman is controlling the mans temper but when shes on her own, at the end, she doesnt hold back- completely justified though.. love the Karma at the end to finish the vid. Great to see the 2 of you together when you can. 😊
A lot of the 'lane encroachment' ones are because somebody's in a blind spot.
The cam driver really needs to take some lessons again
We do swear and get quite cross but no one gets gunned down.
Hello Joel and Ben. The roads were a bit silly in this year after people were sat in their houses for months. Best wishes to Mrs. Driver after this.
The UK drivers remind me of the drivers in Boston, Massachusetts 🤷♀️🤦🏼♀️🤣🤣
This is for Ben. Here in the UK, new drivers are told the mantra "Mirror, signal manoeuvre". In that order. So before you turn your steering wheel, check your mirrors to check if it's safe to turn, indicate to all the drivers around you that you're *about* to turn, then with a final look over your shoulder, turn. I have nearly 50 accident free driving years. I indicate even if the road is empty, out of habit. I work on the principle of, if I am clearly indicating what I am about to do, then nobody should collide with me.
Idk if I'm the only one but listen to ren he is a British rapper absolutely brilliant
Don't forget, even Police Cars have Dash Cams.
You may like to know that UK motorways are designed for 90 mph driving speeds. This means radius of curves, length of junctions and signposting distances etc. All the elements of the road are for 90 mph.
This seems so calm and nice. I’ve seen so many wild angry clips .
'Allo, 'Allo (Hello, Hello)
Brilliant serie!
Good Moaning. I'd like a tibble for two by the wondow.
15:40 the other driver had priority as the parked cars were on the dashcam driver’s side (left). The truck started pulling out before he got to the parked cars, so he should have anticipated the situation and waited. He was in the wrong.
HAHA hilarious how your say Allo Allo...It's A Low A Low
Bikes have a Highway Code too
a good driver very rare gets issues with others, read road well all around you and spot them, then make it a non issue . driving a lot less stressful make things a non issue so spotting it mile away and adjust
A little tame I was looking forward to Ben learning some new insults and swear words
Not sure that guy should be behind the wheel. Yes, some of the things he came across were wrong, but he overreacts. You can tell by his wife's reaction that it's a common occurrence, too. The 'worst' one is at 13:06 when he toots at a cyclist who's crossing a road he's turning into. Any decent driver should be checking for people crossing before making a turn.
Plenty of these were just nothing incidents you encounter every day on UK roads. He just wasn't very good at reading the road.
I don't drive, but when I am on the bus I notice some car drivers will push their way out of a side street. They literally give the bus driver no choice but to let them out. Then the car driver will wave to the bus driver. I'm sat there thinking, "What a nerve. You pushed your way out of the street and then thanked the bus driver?"
Fun video guys. Ironically, the advert after you signed off was for BMW Cars... Joel you are so right about those electric scooters.
In the UK, it is illegal to undertake. In other words you can only overtake other vehicles when you are in the far right lane.
13.19 driver's in the wrong. pedestrians have priority and drivers must check the junction to ensure nobody is about to cross.
Introduce him to Ronnie Pickering.
That’s what I thought it was going to be
Who? 😁
@101steel4 Ronnie Pickering!!!
This dvr is so intolerant. Of course we make minor mistakes. But a true experienced dvr 'rides the punches' & just gets on with his day without drama.
A good driver takes note of the road signs informing you of the junction number and how many metres, to the junction, and they've moved into the correct lane and indicated. If I miss it, I drive to the next one and come back.
This was very tame 😂
That’s not road rage 😂 you should be in a car with me 😂
Sorry, I also drive a BMW, but I always use my turn signals as well. It has nothing to do with the brand of the car, but rather who is behind the wheel. Best regards from Germany. By the way, I like the content with your brother.
That guy driving is right posh man
The important thing to remember, is that it is illegal, to overtake, on the inside lane, which is the left.
When my mother picks me up i have to build my bottle up before i get in the car it is horrific am constantly tense when am in the passenger seat!!
4:41 straight up illegal
Spot on JPS, everyone makes mistakes.
I have a lot faith in JPS/MUM Driving School to help Ben become a good driver over these last months prior to his test. Good Luck Ben and sorry school is starting so soon for you.
Re our licence plates. You have to be able to read them at 20 meters to be allowed a licence.
Definitely need a driving with Ben series lol
That was the best ending to the video. 😂
18:28, Hahaha LOL 😂
You know what the say about Audi.
it means
Avoid Using Direction Indicators
There's no such thing as the 'fast lane' in the UK.
One thing I see when driving in UK over Germany is trying to watch traffic, see signs and instructions for which damned lane you are supposed to be in... Also, people driving at 50 km/h in the centre lane on tha motorway while the inner lane has massive convoys of 18 wheelers all seeming to happily undertake the idiot in the centre lanrpe!!! Lol.
Try the London Dash Cam.
Loving the England Football Shirt......
British by Birth but English By The Grace of God
This guy is just entitled. A lot of the time he was moaning the other drivers hadn't broken any rules, they were just inconveniencing him. Pedestrians have right of way if they're already on a crossing when you try to turn into it. His motorway lane discipline is poor as he's sitting in the middle lane. Other drivers pulling out to pass cyclists - he should have seen t hat in advance and expected it. Most of this guy's problem is risk awareness and not reading the road. The woman at the end was the funniest.
I completely agree Allan! makes you wonder why he uploaded it LOL
8:42 Same mini roundabout again from earlier in the video and I actually live near it! This happens all the time at this particular one more than others for some reason!
Jp I went for a test drive with a local BMW dealer but failed as I used my turn signals and looked in my mirror.
16:34 Hey perfect drivers, the white car crossed dashed lines. If you hadn't noticed. Not an ideal manoeuvre, but still OK.
This driver in the vid is in Sussex and the clip at 12.55 of The Joker pub is at the junction of Preston Road Brighton.
A lot of us who cycle do obey the rules, but nobody shows us.
That's all very tame and civilised driving in UK it's nothing out of the ordinary, a big let down.
People who have road rage are certified Wallies
Statistically the safest drivers in the world.
@101steel4 Number 4 , after Norway, Switserland and Sweden.
It’s only legal to ride electric scooters if they are NOT privately owned. (Council sometimes provide them). You can only use private ones legally on private land. Not roads, bus lanes/cycle lanes or pavements.
BMW/AUDI drivers are the modern equivalent of 1970´s Volvo drivers. Overtaking on the left is not allowed in the UK, even on the motorways but the cammer should have been in the almost unoccupied left lane, the outer lanes are for overtaking, not for cruising. The electric scooter was being careful, busdrivers have a tendency to pull out over the stop line and he was aware that he may not have been seen.
Most of these incidents are minor and more than half could attributed be to the cammer being impatient and intolerant. A little bit of courtesy helps a lot.
😂Loving the England shirt bud! 🏴🇺🇸 Gavin & Stacey 100% it’s brilliant
As a bmw driver, we do own the roads and the rest are just lucky to be on the road with us 😈
I agree that some cyclists do run red lights......for me as a cyclist myself I keep to the law of the road whenever I am on the road..........
the guy is jaywalking with the bike thats why
