    What an ending and great karma xD But honestly so many of those clips were him making issues out of nothing from cutting mini roundabouts to not looking far enough ahead and speeding into problems making it worse

  • @matthewmaude
    @matthewmaude 8 months ago +161

    Knowing the UK roads, the guy videoing is causing some of these issues himself, and some of them aren't even issues at all

    • @nathanielrosa1
      @nathanielrosa1 8 months ago +17

      100% this - he's driving aggressively as opposed to sensibly and putting himself in half of the situations just for a video clip. I suspect he's rapidly heading for a triple heart bypass

    In a few video the dashcam driver was at fault. He often doesn't anticipate the road ahead... he also has a problem negotiating mini-roundabouts.

    • @matthewmaude

      @vibes6717 8 months ago +4

      speeding up in the middle of a mini roundabout and cutting across it just to be able to honk someone who went through it perfectly acceptably. hes genuinely the most dangerous road user in any of these clips just looking to cause conflict.

    Electric scooters (unless part of a registered hire scheme with registrations and insurance) are illegal in the UK. Not allowed on the roads or pavements. That doesn’t stop them though

    • @arthurhawker2620
      @arthurhawker2620 8 months ago +9

      There are actually 31 areas that on a trial basis e scooters are legal to ride on the road within the UK as long as you're within one of those areas, many of which are entire cities.

    • @bhvillaman4401
      @bhvillaman4401 8 months ago +3

      I don't really see why though, just cause people are scared of them shouldn't mean the people who can actually ride them suffer.

    • @Siobhanavon
      @Siobhanavon 8 months ago +6

      Yea it's ridiculous. My mate kept getting stopped off the police for riding his scooter to pick his kid up from school and not being insured, but when he tried to insure it, he couldn't. Yet another mate got burgled at the same time (roughly) and the police never showed up. Priorities are all wrong in this country.

    "Maybe this guy's the problem in some ways". Nailed it. He's clearly just looking for content, but half the time the other drivers aren't doing anything wrong, or he's in the wrong himself.

    4:48 what you’re missing here is that in the uk you don’t undertake, ever! Lane discipline is huge there. Not like the USA or Australia where you basically pick a lane and drive in it: there it’s kept left at all times

    • @AxPTrue
      @AxPTrue 8 months ago +3

      context man, it depends. now i aint saying just blindly do it but dont just sit behind a truck just cuz of this or near left of it. alot of this is just the guy driving being a drama queen as someone else said in the comments. theres always idiots on the road wherever u go.

  • @KuRushie
    @KuRushie 8 months ago +28

    Around the 17:00 mark, the reason the car in front was cautious and braking is because in the UK, when vehicles enter the motorway from a slip road, we normally move out the way so people can get on the motorway quicker and smoother. So they thought the middle car would enter the fast lane... Because they normally would. They are probably a new driver.

      @malkakynatas8389 rule 264 highway code the left-hand lane on a motorway is the only lane you should be driving in unless you are overtaking. The only reason to be in other lanes would be when they are a specified route which will be indictated by the line dashes being shorter. Want to actually provide a counter argument?

    • @vibes6717
      @vibes6717 8 months ago +3

      malkakynatas8389 so many clips where hes in the wrong, you're not very intelligent. one where he literally speeds up in the middle of a mini roundabout and cuts across it just so he can honk at another car which went over it perfectly fine. if he were to take the mini roundabout regularly and not try to make everything a conflict then he wouldnt have been anywhere near that other car. hes the most dangerous driver out of any of these clips because he goes just trying to cause conflicts everywhere.

    Although we are supposed to remain as calm as possible under pressure when driving to avoid further accidents, it is easier said than done. I'm someone who swears a lot to myself so that i get rid of the nervous energy but still concentrate on driving after( in my case).
    My teacher used to say, "we have to do our best driving, but more importantly, ALWAYS expect the unexpected."
    Even though everyone would love to see how your brother does with his driving, dont put him under pressure. He'll need to gain onfidence first. Negative messages dont help - even though you are probably just teasing. Maybe when/ if he's ready.
    I find it funny in the video, assuming its the same people, that the woman is controlling the mans temper but when shes on her own, at the end, she doesnt hold back- completely justified though.. love the Karma at the end to finish the vid. Great to see the 2 of you together when you can. 😊

    The UK drivers remind me of the drivers in Boston, Massachusetts 🤷‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤣🤣

  • @PhyllisGlassup2TheBrim

    This is for Ben. Here in the UK, new drivers are told the mantra "Mirror, signal manoeuvre". In that order. So before you turn your steering wheel, check your mirrors to check if it's safe to turn, indicate to all the drivers around you that you're *about* to turn, then with a final look over your shoulder, turn. I have nearly 50 accident free driving years. I indicate even if the road is empty, out of habit. I work on the principle of, if I am clearly indicating what I am about to do, then nobody should collide with me.

    This guy is just entitled. A lot of the time he was moaning the other drivers hadn't broken any rules, they were just inconveniencing him. Pedestrians have right of way if they're already on a crossing when you try to turn into it. His motorway lane discipline is poor as he's sitting in the middle lane. Other drivers pulling out to pass cyclists - he should have seen t hat in advance and expected it. Most of this guy's problem is risk awareness and not reading the road. The woman at the end was the funniest.

    Jp I went for a test drive with a local BMW dealer but failed as I used my turn signals and looked in my mirror.

    16:34 Hey perfect drivers, the white car crossed dashed lines. If you hadn't noticed. Not an ideal manoeuvre, but still OK.

    That's all very tame and civilised driving in UK it's nothing out of the ordinary, a big let down.

    It’s only legal to ride electric scooters if they are NOT privately owned. (Council sometimes provide them). You can only use private ones legally on private land. Not roads, bus lanes/cycle lanes or pavements.

    BMW/AUDI drivers are the modern equivalent of 1970´s Volvo drivers. Overtaking on the left is not allowed in the UK, even on the motorways but the cammer should have been in the almost unoccupied left lane, the outer lanes are for overtaking, not for cruising. The electric scooter was being careful, busdrivers have a tendency to pull out over the stop line and he was aware that he may not have been seen.
    Most of these incidents are minor and more than half could attributed be to the cammer being impatient and intolerant. A little bit of courtesy helps a lot.
