can someone explain to me how its possible that all the records are at zero pitch and perfectly beatmatched? ive been spinning records for close to 30 years and have never been so lucky

Funny observation and it's easy really. She selected her music beforehand. Checked all the tracks' BPM. If she didn't find them in digital format then should could have ripped the records (with Audacity or whatever) and analyze the tracks in any mixing software out there.
Or perhaps she listened to a lot of records, figured which are the same BPM and made a set out of them. This option sounds way less time consuming than the first.
It sure is a lot easier to just match records without the pitch especially for an "official live mix" or whatever this is. This way you look cool to the masses both as a chick and a vinyl DJ at the same time because almost nobody dares to notice this small but essential detail :)

Sorry, it just looked like (from watching a bit of your set that you did not beat mix the track and then mix it in.
I saw you on a few occasions move the pitch control up and down quickly a few times and then return it to the same spot it was before.
I have never seen anything like that before.
I had no idea of the pupose of moving it up and down, so i concluded you couldnt beat mix and was pretending to make it look like you were.
Because you know the BPM of the tracks well, this explains why you had the tracks mixing in sync.
But I find that very weird and I will beat mix the new track my my ears and run the track for 15 to 20 secs if possible, so can finely adjust the pitch to close to perfect.
Even if I am just want to sample/scratch with a 4 beat sample, I will still match the speeds but only take 5 secs.
You have to make real fine tunes of the pitch to get the tracks spot on.
The only way I could see you method working is if every track has same BPM, and you always play tracks at +0.
Because of the groove at +0, you can precisely set it.
Any thing else should be beat mixed.

Alevtina I loved the old school mix, you showed that you can do your magic with vinyl as well. In my mind I put you as one of the best top DJ`s in the world and hope you more of this. In my mind I think doing vinyl is a little harder than digital. Alevtina you your super great on this set.

Vinyl is way harder than digital. You have to be more precise with pitch controls in order to beatmatch correctly with vinyl. With digital DJing you have all kinds of tools to help you beatmatch including pitch shifting, and even warping entire tracks to different keys, BPM and much much more if you include a laptop in your DJ routine. There are tons of options with digital performances, but there is something to be said for the sound and feel of a vinyl set as well as the skills needed to perform that way.
