By going 0-1 the loser can run the "lower bracket" and actually make it out of swiss since all the top teams will qualify/eliminate each other.

@WhittleDragon You do realize you answered your own question right? You have to qualify and compete at worlds to win the title. GG played BDS to qualify for the last spot. Therefore, the title still remains in C9s hands and will probably stay there.

No technically if you count play-ins. Worlds 2022, MAD beat SGB (Vietnam) 3-1. Then the next match was EG vs MAD and EG won 3-0.

My expectations couldn’t be lower, but I still hope to see them be competitive. G2 said that they need to learn how to draft and I couldn’t agree more

Like last year, I watched Deft play in champions Que a lot and was a big believer in him, but of course that was when worlds was here in the states.
I’m pretty sure their solo que is pretty much in full swing over there, except for a couple hours of drop off time so they wouldn’t have an excuse to miss out of playing or practicing picks.

C9 will stomp MAD. GG wasn’t reflective of NA. In playoffs they tilted hard and were getting smashed by all other teams. GG was by far the worst team out of the 3 left. NRG is overrated though but C9 is NAs best team
