1.Two types of chiller: DX-dry expansion chiller and Flooded chiller.
2. Chiller standard inlet temp: 12°C and outlet temp: 7°C.
3.Baffle has two functions: support heat exch. tubes and to make prolonged contact of water with hx tube for better heat transfer.
4. Refrigerant entering chiller Inlet temp: 4.4°C and outlet temp: 10°C.
5.Anti-freez thermostat is used to avoid over expansion of water in chiller shell in case of operating thermostat malfunction.
6. Vent valve in chiller is provided to extract the air inside chiller shell section so that more space can be utilized for water.
7. condenser tube size : 1/2" to 3/4".
8. Internal grooving of tubes is done to make so that the refrigerant does not pass with velocity but slowly through the tubes.

sir, is there any seperator installed between the inlet and outlet valve? If not, then I think the inlet high temp (12deg) water will mix with the outlet low temp (7deg) water and therefore the mixture of these two will rise the final outlet temp T (7

No separators are installed, water comes with high velocity from inlet and moves forward due to pump pressure it can not come back it has to move forward and it came out from outlet

you have mentioned the refrigerant out temperature as 50F from the evaporator. But, the heat exchange in the evaporator is latent heat transfer, so temperature remain constant. Or is it that the refrigerant enters the compressor inlet as superheated?
