I have no idea why this man never made it big. You will be missed by real country music lovers, James.
Real natural talent, the real deal.
In my heart he is and that's a pretty big & always been a lonely place, so Ole Slim will have plenty of room to shine! I'll keep on picking & singing his songs long as I'm able.
He did in only two place it mattered people's hearts and Texas. rip James
Yes
He made it big in all of our hearts in Texas and especially Austin. We love and miss him from the bottom of "our" hearts.
This is real country music, sung from the heart. I never found this gentleman until he was already gone , but he left a legacy.
James is one of the best Honky Tonk singers there ever was. He won the Ameripolitan Music Award for Honky Tonk Male of the year in 2015. There was not a bone in his body that wasn’t 100 percent Honky Tonk. He was a true Pal and he is dearly missed.
Well. RIP Slim. Gonna miss seeing you out and about, and hearing your old school style. Wish the music world would've done better by you. You were one of a kind.
THIS is country, the real one! God bless Hand!
He did make it big in my household!! And yes a true country singer will be greatly missed!!! I play his songs everyday!!!
How in the hell have I not ever heard of this man been following country music all of my life and it's a shame I found out about this man after his death in my opinion one of the greatest country singers that's ever lived God bless you James I'll be buying every one of your albums
Thanks you guys! James is the best. It's a privilege to be a small part of these shows. Get out and see live music every chance you get!

Wow. Thanks for the intro, Charley Crockett!
Rest In Heaven James "Slim" Hand
AMEN!! I'm really glad I got to talk to him and drink a beer with him one last time!! Greatest guy anyone could ever meet, so down to earth, and honest!!!
I’m so sad this wasn’t recorded on an album. Or I am hoping I can’t find it because this is SUCH A GOOD SONG! Charlie Crockett does a good job but nothing can beat James Hand, seriously. RIP
THANK YOU FOR RECORDING THIS HOLY MOLY!!!!!!!
RIP James, thanks for the music.
I love the song. In the corner at the table by the jukebox. This man is amazing.
this is real country he gets it, the steel is awsome in this
Cindy Cashdollar
@@TxShoreDog yup!!
I discovered James Hand just today while watching a tribute video of country singers, who recently passed away. Somehow, I missed the opportunity to have enjoyed his authentic artistry, which is very rarely seen anymore. His throwback singing style, stage presence, and movements are very similar to Hank Williams. I far prefer him to more recent country troubadours like George Strait. I would love to have seen him perform live at a Texas honky tonk. RIP James!
Holey moley....what a song, what a singer!!
Charley crockett brought me here a damn good cover
Lord Jeezus what real country singing machine J Hand is. They just don't make em like Hand anymore
This is real country music. He's our favorite.

Real country, reminds me of Vernon Oxford and
Randy Travis.
James had that "Hank Williams" authenticity in his voice

As good an artist as he is .. he is an even greater gentleman.

Just a pure imposter.. before you say anything yes I know his “credentials” but he has gained that by being an imposter
hank Williams if he were living today could do this song quit well as he too has that cryin' shame sounding voice lol.

Only George jones could sing better - no one else was even close not even Hank.
You think he’s ever listened to Hank Williams? Lol
Sounds like he's trying to imatate Hank Senior
