Assalamoallaikum Sir , I am Hafiz Saad. I done my Matriculation in Biology with 92%, I selected Biology due to family pressure because I was a brilliant student but I never accepted this. After Matric I again tried to convince them but to no avail, I had to do FSc(pre-medical) . I secured 91% in Pre-medical, then I tried to make my parents agree for CS and they gave me a green signal recently , I was very happy. I did my FSc.recently . But recently when we made the final decision the admissions in Government institutes have closed, I have taken admission in UCP . But I want to take admission in good IT Universities like FAST , COMSATS or ITU , Sir please guide me I am very concerned about that!!! May Allah bless you

That seems like a GCU policy so only they can tell you what is acceptable for them. Additional Math is almost always acceptable but you will have to spend a year on that. For other options, you will just have to seek advice within your target university.
Aoa sir I have the same condition and I'm studying right now at fast they have given me admission but they (fast university peshawar campus) are expecting me to cover additional maths under 1 year I am finished with my 1st semester and my grades and marvelously good and I'm satisfied but I'm just very concerned with my additional maths what if I fail as I'm from federal board and I only have 1 chance to take additional maths. I'll be giving my exam at the end of 2nd semester right now I nearly have 5 months . Although I have done marvelous in calculus 1st semester but still I'm afraid of what if I fail so what's ur view. What if I fail ? Though the chances are less as alhamdulillah my performance is really good and haven't failed yet in any subject the concern and nervousness is about what if I fail and I'll be wasting my 1 year as I won't be able to take additional maths again and I will be wasted....

It is possible to start earning online even without the first semester of a CS degree. I don't recommend it though since it is not good in the long term. But if you follow the right learning strategy, you can start earning quite well by the 3rd year of your undergrad.

"Saktay" isn't right because a few years back, everyone from Pre-med used to go into BCS and we all did ok. Yes, it takes a little effort but passing calculus isn't that problemati if you put in that effort. I understand your concern though. I guess each student knows their own strengths. My point is only that most calculus teachers would start from zero anyway.

Wouldn't recommend a change a university simply because "sab kehty". If there is a particular reason they give, share that. Otherwise, be confident in where you are, make sure you do courses well. I would also recommend watching the playlists of core courses on the channel if you find that some teachers are lacking in your uni. Best of luck!
I suggest you call the Admissions department in the university that you want to join. They would be able to guide you better. Most of the people are helpful in these departments so even a phone call should be sufficient.

@@muskanali3285 you gotta decide yourself what you want to do maybe try to look for different fields as well for me at first I decided to pursue biochem/biotechnology but then then after looking at its scope especially abroad and then salary packages work life balance etc decided not to pursue and then went on to look for CA , ACCA , BBA BSAF etc at first the subjects taught in these certificates(CA,ACCA) and degrees (BBA, BSAF) were interesting but then again I was not really that motivated for some reason I don't know how can I explain so as the last option I went for computing fields but before I secure admission in any of these as you can see in my comment that I did some months back I was concerned with a lot of things I haven't studied maths but then someone answer all of my queries and finally decided to pursue it (CS) but the fields that I didn't get into does not mean these fields are not good maybe for you they could be better but the thing is research yourself and decide as for my this comment I am actually traveling so my comment is all over the place so kindly pardon my English

Skills matter more than the university but university can also play some part. So, if you can get into a good university easily, it does help. But if you can't, you shouldn't worry about it. I won't recommend BS in Computer Engineering over CS. It might be because I'm not aware of the opportunities in CE. Do ask experts in that area about opportunities there.

I'm not too knowledgeable about this route so I might not be the best person to answer. I will share my thoughts though. You are right that BS commerce would not be too useful since most of the teachers wouldn't even have as much knowledge as you. Practical know-how is rare. If you do CS, you will know both CS and commerce which will give you advantage over both CS and commerce people. You can work on ERPs and accounts systems which are needed throughout the country and the world. Also, there are fields like Fintech which can be very useful.
BSc IT is a good field in itself. Issue it that most people teaching in programs of IT have never worked with any IT stuff. So, mostly it's just book knowledge which isn't useful. So, again, might as well go into CS and then learn the IT stuff on your own (or through certifications).

It's sort of true ... =] But some teachers are really good and some are good at only some things. You can always learn something from everyone. Just focus on what you can learn instead of what the teachers might be doing wrong.

Additional mathematics is the best option if you don't get admission in MBBS 👍. I also did this and got admission in Nust.

Sir I am a fsc pre medical student couldn't get into med college and now I am planning to do bscs so my question is Kai koi problem to nahi Hogi if I plan to do masters or higher education in countries like Germany,UK ,USA , Canada etc etc kindly reply I am very tense Kuch log Keh rahe Kai I should go with but Kuch log kah rahe Kai I should not go with bs CS and I am really worried about future scope of it for me as pre med student

@@muskanali3285 you gotta decide yourself what you want to do maybe try to look for different fields as well for me at first I decided to pursue biochem/biotechnology but then then after looking at its scope especially abroad and then salary packages work life balance etc decided not to pursue and then went on to look for CA , ACCA , BBA BSAF etc at first the subjects taught in these certificates(CA,ACCA) and degrees (BBA, BSAF) were interesting but then again I was not really that motivated for some reason I don't know how can I explain so as the last option I went for computing fields but before I secure admission in any of these as you can see in my comment that I did some months back I was concerned with a lot of things I haven't studied maths but then someone answer all of my queries and finally decided to pursue it (CS) but the fields that I didn't get into does not mean these fields are not good maybe for you they could be better but the thing is research yourself and decide as for my this comment I am actually traveling so my comment is all over the place so kindly pardon my English

Inshaallah zarur. I did premed myself so no reason why anyone else would not be able to.. will just need a bit of effort like everything else in life.

Skills matter more than the university but university can also play some part. So, if you can get into a good university easily, it does help. But if you can't, you shouldn't worry about it. I won't recommend BS in Computer Engineering over CS. It might be because I'm not aware of the opportunities in CE. Do ask experts in that area about opportunities there.

I'm not too knowledgeable about this route so I might not be the best person to answer. I will share my thoughts though. You are right that BS commerce would not be too useful since most of the teachers wouldn't even have as much knowledge as you. Practical know-how is rare. If you do CS, you will know both CS and commerce which will give you advantage over both CS and commerce people. You can work on ERPs and accounts systems which are needed throughout the country and the world. Also, there are fields like Fintech which can be very useful.

BSc IT is a good field in itself. Issue it that most people teaching in programs of IT have never worked with any IT stuff. So, mostly it's just book knowledge which isn't useful. So, again, might as well go into CS and then learn the IT stuff on your own (or through certifications).

But some teachers are really good and some are good at only some things. You can always learn something from everyone. Just focus on what you can learn instead of what the teachers might be doing wrong.
