His stun was from the most rewarding to land ability
That clip of dying to lee sin then the cut away to that 90s video of the kid wall jumping and kicking his friend in the face had me out loud laughing and losing my breath. Shit was great.😂
Basically they hear how difficult was to keep moving to have sol's ball do the actual damage so they decide to forgone that and be like *Q* to win

I appreciate that fact that he is actually useable without having to beg your jungler to baby sit your lane, but yeah. It’s feels cheap to just hold q and wipe a team
Old sol was broken if you knew how to play him, just not against assassins and he was fair to spellcasters so I honestly don’t think he needed rework. If they made a stun passive is is q was interrupted or q would be refreshed if interrupted with half its duration after a second or give him movement speed if interrupted he would have been fine. The problem was if his q was bugged he can perma shove with the passive dmg on orbs. Which they did but he was still op if you built rod and another supporting mana item and keep q on and perma shove roam. So they took out q unlimited time, but then they buffed the dmg. So they felt like it was an unbalanced champion like ryze. But the issue was that if the orb passive were nerfed he was complete ass because he would lose to its favorable match ups and get trained by assassins. So if they just let q have a passive that gave him tenacity, movement speed, or the ability to counter stun the app intent champion even for a quarter of a second it would give sol counter play, specially since most assassins need to ex exits their combo without interruption, unless extremely fed, like Quiana when she can q auto you from 100 to 0 .

Feel bad for asol ngl. They treated old asol worse than old aatrox. Imagine getting absolutely destroyed so badly that his play rate plummeted into nothing. Then riot, due to having their own head up their rear ends and having more ego than the entire world twice over, refuse to admit how badly they screwed up in changing him, and instead of fixing their mistake by undoing one completely uncalled for and awful change, rework him.
Riot was so full of themselves that they would rather completely rework champs (aatrox, asol) rather than admit they screwed up and revert their stupidity.
The issue with old Asol people found his mechanics to be fundamentally unenjoyable. His entire spacing minigame was just obnoxious, while getting kills with it felt lackluster. Good riddance.

no, not in the 'coc inferno tower' fashion, but it does get more %maxhp dmg damage based on stack tho and tics every 1 second on same target dealing extra burst damage
