Tomas Muñoz because it makes sense. We don’t know wether he/she/it exists or not, but by acting as if it exist your create a sense of calmness, trust among other positives in your life. You’d life according to rules set thousands of years ago, by that, really thoroughly thought out rules of course, because they are that old and still managed to survive. What I’m trying to say is; there is no harm in acting as if god exist. There can be as there obviously have been countless wars as consequence of religion and the conflict it can create, but on an individual level I don’t see much harm in it. Hopefully that helps a little :)
Tomas Muñoz but what I’ve experienced over the past year or so is that if you consciously make the choice he does exist, like Peterson does, acting like he does exist and with that you trust that their is a plan. By doing that you trust that ‘he’ takes care of you in some sense, this might be a bad explanation, but I find it hard to explain it. Because I am not religious I’d say myself, but I do do the thing I just described, just because it is easy and it works. Trust that everything happens for a reason, makes the hard parts in life a little more bearable, I’d say. Would love to know your thoughts!

Loved the video and hearing your opinion on some books. It’s so amazing how this channel have evolved over time. Like I have watched you for years, im a couple years younger then you but I love how the your content have matured with your audience. If I might leave a suggestion I would say ”The Prince” by Machiavelli. It is an old piece of literature about power. Quiet a heavy read but you would enjoy it I’m sure. Ask Marzia since she is Italian she might know of it. Machiavelli was from Florence.
Alpha Omegakill I’m actually from Sweden, and I think I’m gonna give 1984 a go. Ive heard so much about it but I have never gotten around to it. Thanks for the tips!
I actually really enjoy these kind of videos, even tho i barely ever read. I love the usual content as well of course, but there’s just something about these more chill or real in a way videos I really love. Please do more book reviews!
I love the videos where he just sits and talks, I feel like we get to see more Felix and less PewDiePie. And I can see that he's still insecure about his content, like for example he says "this is so unentertaining" or "this must be so boring" and stuff like that several times. Not only in this video, but in other ones where the content is actually at its finest. I love these genuine videos, and I hope he sees all the support he's getting in them to continue making them. Also I love the video length, I wouldn't mind if he uploaded the whole 30 minute version. You have our support Felix, do whatever makes you happy, and we'll be happy too❤ (Jesus Christ that was cheesy)
The picture of dorian grey is amazing, everysingle part Henrry starts talking he fucks up your brain lol, because it sounds so logical and convincing the ideas he talks about (that are actually fked up ideas) that you start feeling the same as dorian, pretty amazing book guys, 10/10
Not so sure about that. Every time Henry began with his molonogues, i wanted to leave the book, because he's such a dumbass lmao, and he's such a big part of the whole thing. Seriously, Henry is a goddamn dumbass, nothing he says make sense, or has any phylosophical weight to it. That said, he's an amazing character, it's just that, as someone who's not easily swayed, people who entirely rely on charisma and confidence like Henry rather than intellect and sincerity are not exactly of my liking.
I LOVE this kind of videos I mean I love meme review but this serious/grown-up side of you is amazing You should make more videos like this or like that one where you were talking about things you recommend for people who are just starting to make videos (a video about forced positivity is really good too)
I agree. I mean sure we all love Pewdiepie, but sometimes when Pewdiepie changes to Felix it's a very pleasant feeling to know that he's not some corporate robot that acts only for the views. (Btw last time he did this was when he was talking about his favorite anime which was pretty nice)
He says that because videos like these, although are quality content, get the least amount of views in comparison to other videos like m e m e review, YLYL and LWIAY.
I agree. I like these kind of reviews. PewDiePie just begin to be *bored* by all of these let's plays and games and *games* again. So who not try something new? I apreciate this. I'll give him a try.
Well, he thought that JBP is religious, even though he said that he doesn't believe in God, but is terrified with the idea of God's existence. That is why he said, "I act as if God exists."
@@omathitis8498 the broad answer to that question for him is yes. But the acting as if he does answer is more specific. He's gotten more religious since the book I would say though.
hey idk if u think the content ur putting out is trash or something but i honestly look forward to it everyday. yeah it is a lot different, but it’s definitely a 10/10 to me. so nice job team

Cristopher please stop trying to sound smart when you're clearly not. Just because you're a low-minded person and your brain can't process a video that talks about books when you're used to shut it down, doesn't mean we're all like you :)
Thank you for clearing things up, it's not about hurting me, it's about claiming something that was false. In your initial comment you said that I was lying when I stated that I love book reviews and that I enjoyed watching this video, I spoke for myself alone, not for the rest of humanity.
This is why I love this guy. Name me one other youtuber that has the balls to upload a 25 minute long video discussing classic literature when his fanbase is mostly comprised of pre-teens that care more about video games and memes.
Emanuel Hoogeveen I’d say a lot of his fans are younger (preteens) because kids make up a majority of youtube and probably some of his fan base is teens and adults.
Yeah, I dont really like reading books. I cant read well (dont gave dyslexia, i think, but I mess up the words often) but for some reason liked this video. I dont really watch this channel either. Maybe it was the soundtrack.
I think this video will get less views than usual, but pewds I absaloutly loved it, you do really cool things with your videos, and the changes you make and differences with the videos keeps everything incredibly fresh and it is a very very innovative channel now and I love it. Really good job
I think, when talking about F 451, you need to also take into account the prophetic diagnosis it provides. In fact, one of the messages in the book is something you touched on earlier in the video. It is a book about books, and the importance of not neglecting to read them.
I wouldn't like a video like this everyday but I would like to see this as a monthly series, it was very interesting to watch and has inspired me to read a bit more often as there are many books that I want to read
Yeah i was a bit annoyed when he said that this would be a daily thing, oh wait he never said that lmaooooo he even hinted that it would be a monthly thing..
I really enjoyed his video. In fact, I think my favourite videos of yours are when you're just sitting down and chatting to us/the camera and being yourself.
Fahrenheit 451: a future dystopia where people stopped reading and exploring the nature of humanity by choice, and it got reinforced by the powers that be, and an agent of this authority begins to defect as he learns the truth behind the beauty of life and reading. It’s a very transcendental take on a dystopian future and it is not as depressing. I liked it, but I can understand why someone would NOT like it.
Honestly the idea and the story was soo good but the text in some parts of the book gave me a mix feeling about this book. But overall a solid 4/5. Also if you see this reply please recommend me some books I am trying to read. Thanks in advance.
@@learningstuff8288 I really enjoyed the Super Powered series by Drew Hayes. It’s not the most enlightening series but it’s great super hero fiction imo.
I read the uncensored version ;( but I got the uncensored version so I'm gonna give that a try. I HATE CENSORING BOOKS!! Feels like the start to Fahrenheit 451...

*Dærk 君殺したい,* can you look him with a straight eye and show that you're angry with what his doing? It may scare him, OR provoke him. But either way, for me, I'd have fun having to fight a bully and teach him a lesson. I'm not sure about you, can you do it? If you can, and can show him that you can fight. His bullying days will eventually stop. I recommend challenging him instead of sucker punching him, that way you gain respect if you DO win. BUT all of these are last resort. If your bully can listen to reason then reason with him. Or have a light conversation, ask if he wants a juice or something then that'd be better. His bullying will eventually stop. If he doesn't well, you'd have to show him what you've got now.

Listening barroque music to think clearer
Could be listening to himself to check the audio? Idk.
That is his head, stop being a bigot.
I was just scrolling down reading book recs here and then i come across this comment i cackled
He's listening to an audio book, while reviewing books.
I actually really enjoy these kind of videos, even tho i barely ever read. I love the usual content as well of course, but there’s just something about these more chill or real in a way videos I really love. Please do more book reviews!
GooglePoopGamer you have a weird youtube name. It doesnt suite your comment
ZENNology of Everything I know :P
I made it when i was younger and cant make myself change it.
GooglePoopGamer whats your age
ZENNology of Everything does that really matter honestly
GooglePoopGamer no...yeah...no...
More like unasked advice: Please DO read! Especially when you are young.
Love seeing you do what you love
PigToots i want to do what he loves. Aka marzia

*I never thought I'd see Jordan Peterson comment on a PewDiePie video.*
Me neither
Same
LOVE THIS VIDEO FOR 2 REASONS
1) we feel like we know Pewds a bit more.
2) I can search the depths of comment section for good books suggestions.
Old Soul literally same
Iian banks other science fiction is fantastic. Consider phelbas is pretty out there.
Old Soul read Francis of The Filth from George Millers
Yup
Brandon Sanderson books, you're welcome.
You have our support Felix, do whatever makes you happy, and we'll be happy too❤
(Jesus Christ that was cheesy)
This is literally
*_PEW PEW LITERATURE CLUB_*
Pewdie pewdie literature club
Haters be like DIE DIE LITERATURE CLUB
(tot not talking about pewDIEpie)
The picture of dorian grey is amazing, everysingle part Henrry starts talking he fucks up your brain lol, because it sounds so logical and convincing the ideas he talks about (that are actually fked up ideas) that you start feeling the same as dorian, pretty amazing book guys, 10/10
Loved that book and The Importance of Being Earnest
Not so sure about that. Every time Henry began with his molonogues, i wanted to leave the book, because he's such a dumbass lmao, and he's such a big part of the whole thing. Seriously, Henry is a goddamn dumbass, nothing he says make sense, or has any phylosophical weight to it. That said, he's an amazing character, it's just that, as someone who's not easily swayed, people who entirely rely on charisma and confidence like Henry rather than intellect and sincerity are not exactly of my liking.
I LOVE this kind of videos
I mean I love meme review but this serious/grown-up side of you is amazing
You should make more videos like this or like that one where you were talking about things you recommend for people who are just starting to make videos (a video about forced positivity is really good too)
I agree. I mean sure we all love Pewdiepie, but sometimes when Pewdiepie changes to Felix it's a very pleasant feeling to know that he's not some corporate robot that acts only for the views. (Btw last time he did this was when he was talking about his favorite anime which was pretty nice)
I really wish pewds knew that these are the videos that many people like the most... then he would not say "it's weird because nobody cares about it"
He says that because videos like these, although are quality content, get the least amount of views in comparison to other videos like m e m e review, YLYL and LWIAY.
I love you
Yea just because you and a few others like this doesnt mean these are the videos people like the most
I agree. I like these kind of reviews. PewDiePie just begin to be *bored* by all of these let's plays and games and *games* again. So who not try something new? I apreciate this. I'll give him a try.
17:50 You already did write a book pewds
The yiay book right, that was you?
I was first to like this video and watch it
You mean the LWIAY book? There's no such thing as a YIAY book.
hahaa... yes 😂 I made a Pewdiepie greenscreen contest video appreciate if you watch 😊
It was the LWIAY book not YIAY, that was copycat jacksfilms
Kashyapine no
Pewdiepie staring directly at the words on the cover: “12 rules of life”
Painful
Well, he thought that JBP is religious, even though he said that he doesn't believe in God, but is terrified with the idea of God's existence. That is why he said, "I act as if God exists."
@@omathitis8498 the broad answer to that question for him is yes. But the acting as if he does answer is more specific. He's gotten more religious since the book I would say though.
I love your serious/sincere content. This is what I'm subbed for.
a7neu are you an avid reader?
Steven Harris I am and I got to say these book reviews are the main reason I watch pewds (and the memes too ofc)
hey idk if u think the content ur putting out is trash or something but i honestly look forward to it everyday. yeah it is a lot different, but it’s definitely a 10/10 to me. so nice job team
caroline ray hello
Yeah same here. Its like my day is not complete without watching his vids.
new face filters on instagram today
caroline ray i love the way he makes his vids
It WAS really interesting, I hope you continue making literature videos because I've been reading more books these past few years and need more suggestions :)
2:08 - Consider Phlebas by Iain Banks
5:45 - Brave New World by Aldous Huxley
9:21 - Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
12:33 - The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
16:01 - Children of Time Paperback by Adrian Tchaikovsky
18:06 -12 Rules for Life by Jordan Peterson
It's so interesting to hear you discuss books !! I love listening to book reviews !!
i dont
+
Cristopher please stop trying to sound smart when you're clearly not. Just because you're a low-minded person and your brain can't process a video that talks about books when you're used to shut it down, doesn't mean we're all like you :)
ReZo to each his own ! I love books !
Thank you for clearing things up, it's not about hurting me, it's about claiming something that was false. In your initial comment you said that I was lying when I stated that I love book reviews and that I enjoyed watching this video, I spoke for myself alone, not for the rest of humanity.
Bro Pewds keep doing these type of videos they are really interesting. You should do this at least once a month, I would definitely watch them:)
Do a book club, I'd love it!
That actually would be awesome.
Literature Club!
PPLC???
Dylan Milne if that's the kind of vids Pewds makes when he hasnt slept properly, then i hope he sleeps less in the future
In Da [Book] Club
THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY IS MY FAVORITE BOOK OF ALL TIME
I recomend u "Bel Ami" of Maupassant as well as "Martin Eden" of Jack London
It's a great book , my no 1 book too
Kinda gay 😂😂 but actually same
This is why I love this guy. Name me one other youtuber that has the balls to upload a 25 minute long video discussing classic literature when his fanbase is mostly comprised of pre-teens that care more about video games and memes.
Jake paul
Yeah Pewds is the best and this is a great example of how to share things you like on RUclips
I wonder about that actually: Is his fanbase still that young? His channel has been around for ages, his fanbase must be maturing too.
lol I'm 13 and all I do is read so I appreciate this a lot.
Emanuel Hoogeveen I’d say a lot of his fans are younger (preteens) because kids make up a majority of youtube and probably some of his fan base is teens and adults.
I love these more chill type of videos because it shows the real felix and its so enjoyable to watch, hopefully we can see some more of these videos
Yeah, I dont really like reading books. I cant read well (dont gave dyslexia, i think, but I mess up the words often) but for some reason liked this video. I dont really watch this channel either. Maybe it was the soundtrack.
The way pewds described each book I am looking forward to read again... thank u... need more book reviews....
thank you for the 3 people that asked for a book review 💗
Why is pewdiepie wearing the headphones ?? hhmmmmmmmmm🤔🤔

I think this video will get less views than usual, but pewds I absaloutly loved it, you do really cool things with your videos, and the changes you make and differences with the videos keeps everything incredibly fresh and it is a very very innovative channel now and I love it. Really good job
Loving all the reviews lately😋
Same, I watched the Devilman Crybaby because of Pewds, glad I did, soundtrack was 10/10 😎👍
12 rules for life is a master piece
Agreed!
Of life* jks
But pew die pie did call it 12 rules of life and I’m the arsehole pointing it out
@@jgoldian47 god bless and happy new year mate!

Wow first pew news now a 🙌 *book review* 🙌 Felix you are just full of those original ideas wow
Jamie hahahaa... pew news better though I made a Pewdiepie greenscreen contest video appreciate if you watch 😊
Jamie 'Original'
I think, when talking about F 451, you need to also take into account the prophetic diagnosis it provides. In fact, one of the messages in the book is something you touched on earlier in the video. It is a book about books, and the importance of not neglecting to read them.
I wouldn't like a video like this everyday but I would like to see this as a monthly series, it was very interesting to watch and has inspired me to read a bit more often as there are many books that I want to read
Tricksterking شيفوزني
Yeah i was a bit annoyed when he said that this would be a daily thing, oh wait he never said that lmaooooo he even hinted that it would be a monthly thing..
lol I don't think he can read like 6 books every day while making other videos XD but yeah, monthly sounds great actually
I agree with you on a 200%
Agreed
Book review. This channel just got a 100% more classy.
*pinky out*
I really enjoyed his video. In fact, I think my favourite videos of yours are when you're just sitting down and chatting to us/the camera and being yourself.
Holly I said the same thing!!!!!
@@ItsShatter Ill give it a try. Eventually ill find my genre so ill explore.

Read half of it, put it down. So boring even for a 250 page book
@@themanwithnoname2183 the one I read was less than 100 pages... did I read the wrong one??
I read the uncensored version ;( but I got the uncensored version so I'm gonna give that a try. I HATE CENSORING BOOKS!! Feels like the start to Fahrenheit 451...

JUST PEWDS
I love that pewdiepie just does what he feels like doing, It's so good
Rather than doing the same videos over and over again. It’s ACTUALLY fun.
Original content? What's that?
Agreed. Much better than forcing himself to constantly do Let's Plays he didn't even enjoy or want to do like the old days.
As someone who makes more educational content on RUclips, I like this new series!
educational content? you mean high quality cinematic production?
Judging from your style, i'm pretty sure you edit for Vox.
Quality content 👍
Educational video? lol
As someone who slips plugs into comments, I like this new comment.
The fact that Pewds became more critical of Petersons book after finishing it means that it worked.
Lmao what

I see you're a man of culture as well.
*You watch Rick and Morty?*
I see you are a man of culture as well.
Dean Natuno i swear i saw you on fightTips
*Dærk 君殺したい,* ah, the bullying video. You may see me in various RUclips channels, more often about Martial Arts, Bruce Lee or Chess channels.
Dean Natuno yep, watched that since my seatmate is bullying me as well
*Dærk 君殺したい,* can you look him with a straight eye and show that you're angry with what his doing?
