Thank you for your teaching! I was raised in the Christian church and until 2020 when my church shut down and forced me to look for another and I stumbled upon a messianic Jewish congregation, I would not have known about all these rich truths I’ve been learning. 😀

The parts that resonated most with me were Jim Staley's emphasis on understanding the historical and cultural context of early Christianity and its Jewish roots. He makes a compelling case that properly interpreting Scripture requires understanding what the original authors believed based on their historical context, rather than reading modern perspectives into the text. His explanation of how Second Timothy 3:16 was understood by Paul to refer specifically to the Old Testament helped illustrate this point.

Very good start. My only concern is that it's not just Judah but all of Israel, the entire 12 tribes that Yahusha came to redeem and the gentiles too if we would believe and receive. Many confuse the original Jews or Jewish people with those seen today in the installed "nation" rather than the true yahudim that were scattered (as it is written). Great softball start to bringing folks out of the pagan-based churchianity into TRUTH. It's a tough road for those who have been living deceived for long times and He is a rewarder to those who diligently seek Him. Shalom 🙏

Great talk today.... This past week I have struggled with many that claim to be Christians, least ways in name. Some of the topics we have discussed were the Ten Commandments, especially the 4th Commandment. It amazes me that so many believe the Ten Commandment are no longer since Jesus died on the cross. Other issues we discussed was Easter and Christmas and why they think it is okay to follow these holidays. One discussion I had was one that thinks Paul is a false teacher and does not follow Jesus.

The ten commandments no one can keep the ten commandments convicts all of us Romans 7 all and the Sabbath is now Christ himself as for Sabbaths and Sabbath days Romans 14 all, all days are alike for those with strong faith in Christ. And the commandments for us is love God love fellow man 1John 3:22-24, all the ten commandments are fulfilled by loving our fellow man, Romans 13:8-10 now you know why we don't worry about the Sabbath days etc we as Christians should be worshipping God every day, any one that teaches different is a false teacher Galatians 1:6-9.

@@manisymone8622 Don't worry about me my faith is strong. I spent about 6 weeks studding Paul. I pretty much believe the Same way as Jim Staley teaches and no longer align myself to any church. To me religion is a creation of man and scripture tells us this.

@@blacksheep6888 For the most part you are correct for the greatest commandment Jesus tells us is to love God with all our hearts, minds and souls and the second part is to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. Do we know why Jesus said this? The answer is yes for the Pharisees were trying to corner Jesus and get Him to say one of the commandments was more important than the others so He bundled the greatest commandment with the 1st four of the ten commandments which shows our love to our Father in heaven and the last six of the ten commandments apply to our fellow man.
It is through our faith that we honor God by showing our love by following His commandments. This does include the Sabbath and Jim Staley has a great video on this matter. For your information there are over 100 scriptures that tells us to keep these laws with over 20 found in Romans alone where Paul tries to let us know the importance of these laws of God.
If you need help to find these scriptures let me know will be more than happy to help. But let me warn you I don't argue and what I know goes against what many think goes against what is taught in most denominations but it is all in scripture.

Thank you, Jim, for your ministry. I am a 4th generation born and raised Church of Christ member and 100% these misconceptions are established traditions/doctrines I have grown up with over my entire life. Over the last several years, your lessons and those of others have opened my eyes as to how far the Church has fallen from Biblical Truth. Once the blinders are removed, it is truly mind blowing to see all that we have been missing.
Recently I have made this comparison. Yeshua condemned the Pharisees for focusing on the minutia of the letter of the Law but missing the Spirit. Would He not condemn modern Christians in similar fashion?
We are to worship in Spirit AND in Truth
The Pharisees had Truth but not the Spirit. modern Christians have had the Spirit, but have been missing Truth.

Jim, I love your videos! In fact, God told me, "Study the books of Isaiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel, and study Jewish history and traditions as presented by Jim Staley." Here is one of the many reasons that is important: In Christ's teachings to the inhabitants of ancient America, some of whom were led by God out of Jerusalem around 600 BC, the most quoted prophet is Isaiah. In fact, Jesus commanded the ancient inhabitants of America to study the words of Isaiah. There are only two ways, both of which must work together, to understand Isaiah, and for that matter, the entire Holy Bible: 1) Understand Jewish and Hebrew history and traditions, and then 2) Ask God the Father, in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, to confirm truth to you personally through the Holy Ghost.

22:00 True. Deconstruct past protestantism, catholicism, but don't stop at Judaism. Go all the way back to Genesis, Exodus and Leviticus etc. Jesus is the same God who interacted with Abraham, Jacob, and Moses. Don't assume Judaism was free from the same corruption Catholicism embraced. How did JESUS grow up is important NOT how Paul grew up - at the feet of Gamaliel - Jesus was instructed by the Father not the Jews.
22:50 The "author" is God and Jesus had to correct the Jews again and again. Judahites were used to write the New Testament but Jews who practiced Judaism did meld it with the teachings of Christ. They rejected his teaching and still do.
26:00 Jesus was from the house of Judah but did NOT practice the religion of Judaism

If you are saying that 2 Timothy 2:16 is only referring to the old testament? I have to disagree with you. It is referring to the old and new testament the entire bible. Alot of believers believe that we need to focus on the new covenant, new testament and the old testament is not that important. That is a lie from satan. I have been in the old testament alot and have learned so much more about who God is and how he deals with His children. I read and pray from Psalms everyday. Christians are truly missing out when they ignore the old testament.❤

31:00 Very good explanation of Acts 20:7-12

    • @michaelpalmer7954
      @michaelpalmer7954 2 месяца назад

Or you can accept this explanation from the man who wrote the 900 page book "Israelology."
Verses 7-12 record the story of Eutychus, beginning in verse 7 with the meeting of the church of Troas: Upon the first day of the week, when we were gathered together to break bread, Paul discoursed[564] with them.
It was the first day of the week, and the context shows that it was nighttime. According to the Jewish way of reckoning time, the first day of the week begins on Saturday at sundown. The Sabbath was over, and now it was Saturday night, the first day of the week.
According to Robertson, the Greek word for “gathered together,” synēgmenōn, shows that this was a formal meeting. The verb is used of the meeting of the disciples in Acts 4:31; 11:26; 14:27; 15:6, 30; 20:8; and I Cor. 5:4.
It is the same word used as a noun in II Thessalonians 2:1 and Hebrews 10:25, where believers are commanded “not to forsake the assembling together.”
Paul stayed with the church of Troas in order to break bread, a reference to the communion service or the Lord’s Supper, which followed the traditional agape feast in that day. He began discoursing with them, which means he preached a sermon.
The Greek text implies that he went on at length, intending to depart on the morrow; and prolonged his speech until midnight. The fact that Luke mentioned midnight shows that the meeting took place at night on the first day of the week, or Saturday night.
So, Paul began preaching on Saturday night and went on and on until midnight. He intended to leave Sunday morning.
      SHALOM...

There is but one covenant. Messiah was the fulfillment of that covenant and showed us how to fulfill it as well. We are justified by faith as sinners and his law shows us what to repent for as it convicts us. He promised that His law will be written on our hearts (Jeremiah 31-34) there is no second covenant as yet. We must first look upon him lifted up and be healed of our transgressions. When we are born again, this is when we will know him face to face.

⚠️ One of the greatest truths that Christianity (me included) was never taught is that it is the Mother of Harlots. Jesus said His Bride is in the midst of her AND TO COME OUT. The Mother and her children have long time looked like the Bride, thus Jesus said no tares could be pulled before the time of their maturity. He warned repeatedly about the deception: wheat and tares; wise and foolish virgins; sheep and goats; good and bad fish in the dragnet; the faithful and wicked servants in the net, ETC.
We are taught the "bad people" are the world, but Jesus is clear to distinguish when He spook about the world and has way more to say about His first chosen (Israel), the Bride, and that Mother of Harlots.
What deception. This is why we are told to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. Deception within. The Lord warned if possible, satan would deceive even the elect and deceive he has.
Night is coming and Yeshua warned many Christians are going to hear depart because they are in fact workers of lawlessness (Revelation 17-19; Matthew 5 & 7; John 14).
The religions has made so many compromises and sacrifices, and the whole of Scripture has long been optional for them. We are taught to be comfortable with that. Denominations: a sign of not loving each other and not agreeing on the whole of Scripture.
Dont wont heed, so Your Will be done. ❤⚠️

I believe the sabbath is the 7th day and learning. If the believers met in synogogues in the afternoon on Saturday and sabbath ends at sundown, they met in homes after sabbath sundown ? Maybe one reason people think it is ok to have church on Sunday because they met in homes on Sunday early evening? My family does not agree with the 7th day Adventist on things so we will not go there even though they do observe 7th day sabbath. Is it ok to honor the sabbath at him with family and still go to a church on Sunday? I am conflicted on this. We need in person fellowship and I don’t see anything in the Lincoln, Nebraska area.

Jim, I do not know how to reach you personally, but I need your expertise on a phenomenon that appeared on two consecutive nights, etched in the clouds, backlit by the moon, over my house in Lehigh, Kansas. I started studying the symbols I saw, and I have only begun to scratch the surface, so to speak, of layers upon layers of spiritual, historical, prophetic meanings. I want to send you a free PDF copy of what I have written on the matter. I will welcome and appreciate further insights from your perspective. How do I send you that PDF file?

The Gospel(Good News) is clearly stated in 1st Corinthians 15:1-4
The Apostle Paul tells you what you must believe to be saved. You must believe....Christ died for your sins. He was buried. And he arose from the dead, on the third day..
This is what justifies you, before God our Father, by believing the Fathers testimony of his Son. By Faith/Belief

John 4 v21 Mentions Jesus talking to a woman at a well, They are talking about worship. He TELLS her in verse 21 ' Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father'. Jesus further tells her in verse 23 - ' But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. In Paul's writing he further clarifies on this by saying in Romans 8 verse 4 'that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit' - This is why Jesus gave the parable of the wineskins in Luke 5 v37 'And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. v38- But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved. v39 And no one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires new; for he says, ‘The old is better.’

And is a countdown to " eviction day". 7 verses down from chapter 32:29 ( in the K.J.V.) it says, there is no one remaining," Bond or Free" a ringing bell for those who know Rev.13:16 !!! We all should know what Title 42, section 666 of 1994 by the alumni of Georgetown stipulate that " No one shall transact without their universal identifier" and now its ramped up to the Fednow bank takeover, public ledger concept of Bidens nominee for Comptroller of the currency.

Even in Paul's letters we see he had trouble with many churches wanting to add and subtract from what he taught.

Just watched a video by two messianic jews channel titled "what is a messianic gentile?". He seems to be making the argument for putting up a wall between Jewish and gentile believers. I was disappointed because I liked a few of his videos up to that point. But he kept cosigning mainstream Christianity. He seems to forget the part where we are grafted into Israel. He criticises torah observance by gentiles by claiming that everyone who does observe torah is insecure and just wants to be a jew. Some of those talmud attitudes are still ingrained in a lot of the messianic Jewish communities according to his words and those of their congregational leadership (union of messianic Jewish congregations).
If we have it all wrong, why not teach us proper observance?

On the witness of two or three, may the truth be established, we do not have the other half of the conversation that Paul is having in these letters, therefore it is not wise to create doctrines based on Paul’s letters that are contrary to the rest of the word of God

@@cantablocal6768 yes. Church’s that don’t exist when Paul was alive make doctrines as if it’s from God that teaches against Moses or the Old Testament.
We’re not privy to the other side of the conversation so to create a doctrine based on what Paul is saying in a one sided conversation that is contrary to the Law of God himself is a bad place to be.
Paul is in no way shape or form in any position what so ever to annul the Laws of the God he serves. Not only is that blasphemy but it’s insubordination to his Master Jesus and a breach of trust.
The best way to read Paul and get where he is coming from is to have the closest understanding that Paul had in the first place.
Secondly he was accused of teaching against Moses and that claim was found false.
We see Paul keeping sabbath and encouraging the newly grafting in converts to keep the feasts and to not let anyone in their(pagan’s) society judge them for keeping these things as they are in fact a part of the commonwealth of Israel.
Paul is actually masterfully giving a great deal of Torah principles on the actual responsibility of his own People(Jews) according to the word of God that they are to be a light to the nations and that their Messiah has come to not only gather the Lost tribes of Israel back but also anyone who is willing to accept the gospel message.

@@cantablocal6768I replied to you but my comment isn’t there. My point is basically that we don’t have the other half of a conversation via letter or reality, that Paul is having.
Therefore Christianity shouldn’t make doctrines based on Paul’s letters that teach against Moses.
Clearly we see Paul was accused of teaching against Moses and that accusation is false.
Yet today people use Paul to claim that he taught against Moses.

In New Testament times, there was no "New Testament." That means God continues to reveal more of his word, so that all people in all places and times can have access to it, and continue to grow spiritually. If God is the same yesterday, today, and forever, then it is no stretch of the soul to understand that The Book of Mormon is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. We have the Old Testament, the New Testament, and Another Testament of Jesus Christ, all working together as three witnesses of the divinity of our living, resurrected Savior, Jesus Christ. Has Christ himself not said, in the mouth of two or three witnesses he will establish his word? Don't take my word for it, or anyone else's. Study this out for yourselves, and then ask God the Father, in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, if this is not true. And then listen for the still, small voice of the Holy Ghost to confirm it to your soul.

wolf for sure!!!!! there's more than 1 church in the bible , there's the early Israel church acts 2-7 and there's the church the body of Christ Acts 9+ in case you struggle with the concept of 2 churches in the bible there's a church of the wilderness that's clearly not the body of christ CHURCH!!!! ( Acts 7::38 ) NEXT there's 2 messages of good news or gospels in the bible one is the kingdom Gospel for the nation of Israel only and there's the gospel of grace revealed to Paul after acts 9 !!!!
I don't even need Paul to prove the 2 gospels
    Matthew 4:23
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom,
    Matthew 9:35
And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom,
    Matthew 10:5-7
These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
    Matthew 15:24
But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
    Matthew 16:21-22
From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day. Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.
    John20:9
For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.
Matt 16 The disciples didn't know what was meant by rise the third
day ! therefore, the death burial and resurrection which is our gospel is not the Gospel preached in matt 4, matt 9, matt 10
1 Corinthians 15:1-4 is not the same Gospel that was preached to Israelites before atonement!
    2 gospel 2 churches,
the fall of Israel didn't happen until acts 7 the stoning of Stephen! up to this point it's been Israel only! it was the fall of israel that brough salvation to the gentiles (romans 11:11!) before this gentiles were without God and not fellow heirs and strangers from the covenants of Israel !
    Ephesians 2:11-12
    Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;
That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

    Truths not taught in Christianity
    1) Teaching His true name and His son's son
    2)His true DAY of worship
    3) Observing His true feasts
    4) Following His true biblical or should l say scripturely calendar
How then can we claim to be followers and believers in YAHUAH and His son YAHUSHA If all these truths are not taught in our churchs etc....?
Even on this Channel "passion for truth" you still teach your followers the wrong name of our Creator and His son' s name

26:00 Jesus was from the house of Judah but did NOT practice the religion of Judaism.
26:10 They did NOT keep the law of God perfectly as you say and gloss over the fact they choked MUCH of it out with their traditions

Many Christians reject much of what Jesus taught as well. It does not matter which religion one follows for religion is created by man and is not of God.
