    Awesome kite! I have the V4 for kitefoiling and strapless surf, it's super controllable and predictable, just amazing. I can only imagine how brilliant the v7 is.

    Hi Matt, thanks for the review, SUPER stoked that you liked the kite. You inspired me to head out in the waves with my foil and 8m Reo Ultra-X, I had not opened it since I bought it as my knee op was only a 2 months ago. What a machine! Easy relaunch and whippy turn, such fun hooning down the waves on my kite foil. THANKS!

      Dang bro!! Look at you. Killer data. Thank you for the tech. Looks like we were wrong on saying it is the same Dacron as the SLS. Ozone.... Winning! Regardless of the g/m2, this new Reo is so sick. Can't wait for my next sesh!

      @@GaetanoCrisci I'm having a hard time understanding why someone would want this kite without the X material. Ultra X Reo is the only way to go.

      @@REALmattnuzzo Reo is already very fast, ultra X is faster, maybe who is starting wave riding could prefer a less fast more stable kite... just my idea

    Love the Reo. I definitely prefer 23m lines with the Reo below 12m size, its just faster turning. A 7m or 8m takes to long to reposition with longer lines, the wind window becomes to big with long lines. But i guess it depends primarily on how you ride and how fast you want the kite to move. If you need to actively maneuver your kite at your break because of sectioned waves and unsteady wind, then shorter lines…. If you have down the line conditions then longer 25m lines might be better, just park and ride.
    Please let me know where you ride if you have down the line conditions 😉.

      Yes these conditions were side off and down the line riding. I was riding the 50cm with 25m lines and was surprised the kite reacted as well as it did. I will stick with the 25m lines for this kite moving forward where as the previous models, I liked 23m.

    Hi Matt, Hi Guys, for foiling how does the Reo's compete with the Carve 2024? Cheers

      @REALmattnuzzo Год назад +1

      Size per size it is pretty close. The v7 is a touch different but has more control and consistent power in those turns. Main difference is feel. You never lose the kite with the v7.

    Could you do strapless freestyle on this or is it a bit too friendly to get decent air?

    • @REALmattnuzzo
      @REALmattnuzzo Год назад

      Oh yeah no problem for freestyle. It has enough bar feel that you don't lose the kite in the sky. It has a very predictable bell curve style air too. If you don't know how to jump on a kite, it is pretty quick but that is typical of surf kites.

    Its important to take note that its especially good for lighter riders and that the Reo has no real grunt. For riders 100kg+ this kite might not be the best wave kite on the market. Going to an proportional bigger board is not always the right solution, so just remember to take rider weight in to account.
